Paige had ventured into Hammer Bay's shopping district hours ago, using the various stores and clubs to escape from the rigorous training and studying that came with being a member of the Hellions and her own aspirations to one day be chosen to join the Red Guard. Some nights she simply had to slip away and lose herself in the night. If she didn't, she'd likely go insane before she turned twenty.
Unfortunately, all of her usual haunts were boring. Same people, same music, same stupid imbeciles who thought simply because she smiled at them and danced with them that they were gonna get some kinda special treatment outta her. Which was when she'd smile coldly and simply walk away from them, leaving them in the middle of the dance floor, alone. If they persisted, well, they quickly discovered that she was in no way, shape or form helpless despite the fact that she allowed herself to play the role on occasion.
And anything she couldn't fight her way out of, she could think her way out of. Bar losers weren't a challenge in the least.
Which was how she found herself standing outside Bedlam, a club she'd heard of once or twice but had never bothered to really go into because, well, it seemed a tad bit seedy. Running a hand through her hair, which she had left down in a cascade of blond locks, Paige smiled sweetly at the people in line and then walked straight through the doors without a glance behind her. She'd go where she wanted.
Right into the heart of the pulsing, black lit night. Well, it actually didn't look as bad as she had imagined. Paige was glad she'd decided to go with hr black jeans and dark red halter top, though. Any shred of pale or white and she'd have lit up like a firefly under all those black lights, which wasn't the sort of attention that she wanted.
Spotting a familiar head of red hair, she twined through the crowd until she was right behind them. Terry and that punk, Foley. Which meant that Mr. Leather Bad Boy was around here, too, somewhere. Hmmmm. She might have to get their wind up, the both of them. They had no doubt already managed to bully Terry more than enough. This wasn't her kind of scene. "How'd you guys end up in a dive like this, anyway?" she asked them, leaning one of her arms on either of their shoulders and nearly shouting to be heard. "Let Starsmore advise ya, I bet. Not a smart move."

Josh gave Theresa his patented Golden Boy smirk as she had approached them before they took off to wreak chaos among the late night clubbing districts. He’d just let her have her little fun, insinuating he wanted to be the one she tried to impress. That’s right, tried. Despite how good she looked, throwing Daddy’s money at him and acting superior wasn’t going to impress him very much.
With some good-natured jibing along the way the trio finally entered the clubbing district and Jono led the way. There were some seedy venues along this part and their resident Brit knew of the dodgiest ones. This was going to be one of the best nights he had in a while. Josh could feel it.
The thunderous sounds of thumping music and loud, nearly menacing lyrics escaped through the doorway before they entered, and Josh tossed his teammates a grin. Everything inside was dark, save for a few blacklight special effects tossed over here and there. Nearly intangible forms, presumably people, morphed in black formless shapes around the club, making it difficult to see faces a few feet away.
This place was off the hook. Not usually Josh’s typical club of choice, but he was getting into it a few seconds after entering. Already the trio was getting a few glances of recognition, and there were quite a few girls who looked like they were interested in becoming better acquainted.
Jono gave them a mock salute with a knowing grin before he disappeared onto the dance floor. Josh chuckled, giving him a nod of good luck, not that he’d need it. They’d both be comparing the girls they chatted up by the end of the night. Or rather, by the end of the morning.
"This is where I must take my leave of you, Princess." Josh turned to Theresa as he talked over the music, having spotted a few girls in a dark corner who’d been giving him an appraising eye. He gave her a slight smirk, “Try not to miss me too much.”
"How'd you guys end up in a dive like this, anyway?" A hand clasped onto his shoulder. They knew that voice. Josh turned. Their fellow Hellions teammate, Paige Guthrie, aka Husk. Another one that thought highly of herself. But it was actually warranted, in a way. Was a hard worker. She was a bookworm of sorts, and while that was a little geeky, it was respectable, too. At least she didn’t use Daddy’s money to throw at people to get what she wanted.
"We could ask the same thing of you, Paige," Josh gave her an amused smile, matching her tone. No wonder more people were starting to stare. "Let Starsmore advise ya, I bet. Not a smart move."
Josh didn’t pay attention to her last statement, though funny how she mentioned Jono, "He’s on the dance floor. Ya know, in case you’re wondering." Josh couldn’t resist. There was more than meets the eye when Jono and Paige got going, riling one another up, so of course she’d want to know where he was.

The ride into the city was relatively quiet for a train. Terry tuned out both boys and instead wondered how she would explain this one to her father if she got caught. It wasn't that he didn't like her going out, just that she'd already had one drink at home and he didn't even want her leaving there. Knowing she'd gone out for the night after that would probably make his Irish temper flare, which would only instigate hers and they'd have a typical Cassidy family fight.
Jono led them out of the station and she lingered behind the two boys, looking around her surroundings. She rarely came to this side of town, for obvious reasons, and some of the people watching them put her on edge. This was not a good way to start the night. Terry shook her head at Jono's offer for a cigarette and followed him into a loud, dark, smelly club. The noise was extra loud thanks to her sensitive hearing and she knew she would have a headache before the night was out if she spent too long here. He was definitely out to get rid of her, there was no doubt in Terry's mind.
With nothing more then a mock salute, Jono lost himself in the crowd on the dance floor. The band was horrid and she could have done a thousand times better then they did. And her voice would actually get heard over the crowd. It was something to think about for later if she got bored. Grateful that she wasn't wearing white, Terry felt a hand at her back and she turned to see a tall guy smiling at her. Simply nodding, she knew she needed a drink before she could just fling herself at strangers. No matter what Jono and Josh thought of her, she didn't usually do things like that.
Josh turned to her and said in a loud voice which almost made her cringe, "This is where I must take my leave of you, Princess. Try not to miss me too much.”
Using her mutant power to make herself heard easily over the crowd, she replied with an equal amount of sarcasm, “Yeah, I'll give it my best.”
Suddenly, an arm draped over her shoulder and she turned to see Paige Guthrie grinning at her. "How'd you guys end up in a dive like this, anyway? Let Starsmore advise ya, I bet. Not a smart move,” she told them both.
Of course, Foley wasn't about to let that go without a smart remark and he shot back, "He’s on the dance floor. Ya know, in case you’re wondering."
Rolling her eyes at Josh, she grabbed Paige by the hand and shot back, “Ignore him, he's just jealous.”
Pulling Paige by the hand and ignoring the very interested looks that they were getting as the two girls made their way to the dance floor, Terry found a spot large enough for the two of them to fit into, barely, and let go of her friend's hand. “What are ya doing here? This place is...well...ya know,” she asked the blonde.

((OOC: Jono skipped with permission.))
Her teammates might have arrived at the club together, but they certainly didn't seem too set on sticking together once they were inside. Foley looked just about ready to wander off when her words stopped him.
"We could ask the same thing of you, Paige."
Foley liked to think he was cute, which he probably was to most girls. The fact that he looked like a ten karat gold plated Guthrie, though, was enough to turn her off. She'd had more than enough of blond hair and blue eyes to last her a lifetime, thank ya very much.
"All work and no play makes Paige a very dull girl, Foley," she shot back, grinning wider and making the redrum finger motion in his face, ignoring the stares from the crowd. No doubt some of these kids had recognized them. Even if they hadn't, they were no doubt gonna attract a fair share of attention.
"He’s on the dance floor. Ya know, in case you’re wondering."
"You've mistaken me for someone who cares. Tell ya what, though, I'll just follow the light streaming into the massive black hole of his ego and find him that way." Winked at Foley and Terry. "If I want to find him. Which ain't likely."
Before she could properly get herself going, though, Terry grabbed her hand and started pulling her away and into the crowd on the dance floor. Paige let herself be drug off, smiling at the people gawking at them as they passed. Liked the edge of celebrity that being a Hellion lent her. Got her noticed. Even though sometimes the attention was a little too much.
Once Terry had found a reasonably open area on the dance floor, probably the place that made the least sense to talk but whatever, she dropped Paige's hand and asked: “What are ya doing here? This place is...well...ya know.”
Paige just shook her head, running a hand through her hair as she did so. "Ya gotta lighten up, Ter." Pot, kettle as Paige had been known to chew her fingernails down to nothing when she was studying. "All the usual clubs were boring or there were losers wanting to paw at me. Went looking for something else. Can't study all the time, Ter. Sends me up the wall."
Cast a glance around the club before focusing back on her friend. "How'd you let them talk you into this anyway? And what do I haveta do to pay them back in kind?"

Jono lost himself in the music for awhile, lost himself in the throng of bodies undulating in time to the pulsing, driving melody. He felt alive, not like he usually was, but as if his heart still beat, as if bloody still pounded through his veins. The music hummed through his body, he could feel it.
Was the most glorious thing in the world. Better high than any drug, maybe even better than sex.
Although when in came to indulging his two primary vices, Chamber enjoyed them together the most. He was scanning the crowd, marking off girls that caught his eye, making notes of which ones he wanted to chat up. The brunette over by the cage was giving him a look that made him think he might not be going back to his dorm before dawn.
Tucking away her face as a definite possibility, Jono moved his attention to the rest of the club. He spotted Terry on the dance floor, not dancing but had her head together with a blonde with an ace body in a tight red halter top and close fitting black jeans. Even with his preference for redheads, Jono was easy when it came to gels he chatted up.
Moving that way, his grin faded for only a heartbeat when he realized what blonde Cassidy was talking to. Paige Guthrie. Smashing. The two worst shrews in the whole Academy in one place. He was right shocked there wasn't people running in fear from the harpy invasion.
Of course, wasn't stopping him from going over the to wind them up some. Too juicy an opportunity. Sidling up to Terry, he smirked at her. "I thought the bet was how many blokes you could get eatin' out of your hand, luv," he remarked too cheerfully. "Guthrie there doesn't count. She fills out that blouse too nicely."
Turning his rounding on the blonde yank, he grinned more broadly. "Hullo sunshine," he greeted. "Blow me, I never expected to see you in the likes of this place. Of course, no one likely recognizes you without the spectacles and the book you're always hidin' your hooter in. When you decide to pretend you know how to have a good time?"

Terry sent Paige a look of “yeah right” and rolled her eyes. Her body starting to move with the music as if it had a mind of its own, she replied, “Riiiight. How many times have ya turned me down when I've asked if ya wanted ta go clubbing? Saying that ya had ta get an assignment done or study for an exam?”
"How'd you let them talk you into this anyway? And what do I haveta do to pay them back in kind?" Paige asked.
Terry opened her mouth to try and explain it the best she could when she heard a voice next to her say, "I thought the bet was how many blokes you could get eatin' out of your hand, luv," he [Jono] remarked too cheerfully. "Guthrie there doesn't count. She fills out that blouse too nicely."
Looking at Paige, she pointed to Jono and said, “That's how.” Then she moved away from Jono, before the urge to punch him in the stomach or kick him in the groin overpowered her somewhat good sense, and moved closer to Paige. Giving Paige a quick wink, she wrapped her hand in Paige's fingers and smirked at Jono. “Didn't ya know that two women dancing so intimately gets attention from any red blooded male? Oh, wait, that's right. Ya'd have ta have blood flowing through yuir body ta understand certain things.”
She released Paige's hand when Jono continued, "Hullo sunshine," he greeted. "Blow me, I never expected to see you in the likes of this place. Of course, no one likely recognizes you without the spectacles and the book you're always hidin' your hooter in. When you decide to pretend you know how to have a good time?"
Glancing over at Paige, she said, “Oh, just husk and punch him and get him out of our misery so we can have a good time.”

At the mention of all work and no play making Paige something something , Terry gave her an incredulous look, rolling her eyes and saying, “Riiiight. How many times have ya turned me down when I've asked if ya wanted ta go clubbing? Saying that ya had ta get an assignment done or study for an exam?” even as she started to dance.
"Didn't say it was an every night kinda thing, Ter," she said, shaking her hair out as she continued to scan the crowd. Not really her kinda place at all but interesting. In a dark, black fingernail, leather, silver stud infested kinda way.
And then Mr. King of the Leather Parade showed up, almost glowing with that particular brand of snide that she was willing to bet he applied like cologne. Paige just grinned at him and rolled her eyes as he set to making Terry's life unbearable. Which was exactly what Terry's problem was. Let the stupid boys get to her too much.
Went ahead and played along with Terry, though, wrapping her fingers around her friends, grinning. Waiting to see how it played out before she got herself involved. Likely there'd be no turning back once she and Jono got into it. That was the way things usually went. Take no prisoners and all.
“Didn't ya know that two women dancing so intimately gets attention from any red blooded male? Oh, wait, that's right. Ya'd have ta have blood flowing through yuir body ta understand certain things.”
Ouch, that was perhaps a tab bit low as far as insults went, but Starsmore deserved that and more. Terry simply wasn't equipped to deal with him alone. Paige would have offered to send her to visit her bevy of younger siblings for a week if she and Momma had been on speaking terms. No dice for the immediate future, though.
Terry released her hand as Jono turned his assault on Paige, which she welcomed with a smile and a toss of her hair. Let the games begin.
"Hullo sunshine," he greeted. "Blow me, I never expected to see you in the likes of this place. Of course, no one likely recognizes you without the spectacles and the book you're always hidin' your hooter in. When you decide to pretend you know how to have a good time?"
Clearly annoyed with the game already, Terry said, “Oh, just husk and punch him and get him out of our misery so we can have a good time.”
Except for the fact that then Jono would win. That was akin to backing down, which Paige simply did not do. Smirking, she stepped closer to him, eyebrows arched, tongue tracing over the edge of her upper teeth. "There's lots you don't know about me, Starsmore. 'Sides it's easier to have a good time when your ego's not crushing everything in its path." Leaned forward, tapping the tip of his nose with her finger. "That mouth of yours is gonna get you in all kinds a trouble if you don't watch yourself. Only thing that's saved you from a proper beat down so far is that I make it a point never to hit someone who probably spends more time preening than I do. I mean, it must take forever to make sure all that black matches."

“Didn't ya know that two women dancing so intimately gets attention from any red blooded male? Oh, wait, that's right. Ya'd have ta have blood flowing through yuir body ta understand certain things.”
Jono's eyes narrowed for a split second at Cassidy's blow well below the belt. Bloody harpy. Then he smirked at her as she told Paige to husk into something else and whallop him.
"But sunshine, blood is overrated," he replied. "And that's not dancing. 'Asides, it's the thought that counts." With that, Jono projected an image of Paige and Terry dancing extremely intimately, their hands touching each other in ways he knew they'd never actually do. That should shut the bloody princess up. < Now that's dancing.> he told her mentally.
Paige didn't thump him, but took up the challenge he offered, which was good, because Cassidy had no bloody sense of humour.
Jono smirked as Paige tapped the end of his nose. Well, blow him, Guthrie was flirting with him. "Hard to get to know a gel when all she chats up are books," he remarked dryly. "And I know a few bloody uses for my mouth you might find more interestin'." He leaned towards her, imitating her tone and her tap on the nose. "And it'll take more than a little chav like you to give me a proper whallop, Guthrie. But you're welcome to give it a go anytime."
Blind him, this was turning out to be more amusing than he expected.

Guthrie was acting weird with her finger motions (was that supposed to be cute?) and Rourke was being a snob. Not much new there. Guthrie tried to play off indifference when her favorite Brit was brought up. Josh had already lost interest but gave a shrug and slight grin. “Right,” Maybe if she kept telling herself that she’d actually believe it. Adding with a tone of parting, he bid the girls a good evening, sliding into the crowd towards one of the girls he’d caught sliding him an appreciative glance the moment he’d stepped into the club.
Lost in the swells of the crowd, Josh delved willingly into the throbbing, persuasive atmosphere of the club and his present company, dipping in and out of darkened corners. Though he’d been skeptical at first glance of the club’s atmosphere, it was growing on him.
The club wasn’t typically his style of choice and it probably showed at first glance. But there were attractive girls interested in every genre, and Josh had spotted a few who despite their initial ‘so-alternatively-emo-before-angst-was-even-a-concept’ casually aloof demeanor, had caught his eye several times, passing reciprocating glances back and forth.
After separating from the other Hellions he’d found himself in the company of one such female. Green eyes with shoulder length raven-colored hair. Not as psuedo-aloofly ‘cool’ as some of the other ladies in attendance. Spending a few informative minutes with her at an extremely dim corner of the club, they had proceded onto the dance floor. After a few songs she dismissed herself to the restroom but promised with a secretive smile a quick return. Flashing her an irresistible grin, Josh headed towards the bar so she’d know where to find him when she returned.
Leaning against the bar, Josh ordered them drinks while he relaxed for a few minutes. Man. It was hot in here.
'Oh, wait. That's just me.' Josh didn't bother to hide his smirk.

Paige wrapped her fingers around Terry's and Terry was actually surprised she was willing to do that much. Then again, when it came to Starsmore, Paige was willing to do most anything. Terry often wondered just how much of Paige's dislike for their classmate was actually a denial for what could be her real feelings. However, Starsmore didn't exactly make it so anyone wanted to be close to him. If he wasn't cutting them down, he was smirking behind their backs when he didn't think they could see. However, it was Paige's prerogative. Terry just wouldn't be caught with either Starsmore or Foley if her life depended on it.
Apparently Starsmore didn't take her comment very well as he replied, "But sunshine, blood is overrated. And that's not dancing. 'Asides, it's the thought that counts." With that, Jono projected an image of Paige and Terry dancing extremely intimately, their hands touching each other in ways he knew they'd never actually do. That should shut the bloody princess up. < Now that's dancing.>
Terry's hand dropped Paige's quickly as her face heated up at his projection. If she could have got away with it, she would have blasted him with a scream right then and there but she held her temper. Barely. It wasn't so much the image that he had projected, even if it was something she never would do with Paige, it was the fact that he was playing dirtier then usual. God, she hated him.
Paige approached him, touched his nose and ranted on. That was it for her time with them. Once Paige and Starsmore got going, nothing stopped them. Half the time Terry just wished they'd take it to one of their rooms, have sex to get it out of their system and leave the rest of them out of it. Besides, she wasn't about to stand around and watch them get physically closer when all she wanted to do was claw his eyes out.
Turning on her heel, knowing she was going to get razzed about it the next day, if not sooner, Terry made her way to the bar and ordered a drink. Anything was better then the wimpy thing she'd had at her father's house earlier that day. Taking a long drink and wincing as the liquid burned its way down her throat, she thought about that phrase. Her father's house. Tom wasn't her father but how many actually knew that? No, her father was a coward who had run away when he was left with an infant after his wife died. God, she hated the man.
Minutes later, the drink was gone and Terry didn't even realize she had finished it off. Before she could open her mouth to order up another one, a tall, dark haired man slid in the seat next to hers and ordered her another drink as well as one for himself. He was handsome enough but after the run in with Starsmore, she was just not in the mood to play. However, that didn't stop him from attempting conversation.
She confirmed she was with the Hellions, wishing for once that her identity wasn't so damned well known. He was with some law firm in the city and although his name escaped her at the moment as she finished off the second drink in a short amount of time, she just nodded and tried to look interested. What she really wanted was to leave.
When he asked her to dance, she politely, at least she thought it was politely, shook her head no but he didn't seem to think she was serious. Grabbing her arm, he pulled her off the bar stool and toward the dance floor. “Hey!” she said, but her voice was lost in the music and crowd and she found herself being pulled unwillingly to the dance floor. God, why couldn't this night just be over with so she could crawl into bed and feel sorry for herself?

"But sunshine, blood is overrated. And that's not dancing. 'Asides, it's the thought that counts."
Jono's response to Terry's low blow was aptly lame. Paige wondered if he was losing his touch, which would be a pity. Then she wouldn't have anyone to play with. For some unknown reason, though, Terry reacted fairly adversely to it, dropping her hand, face flushing crimson. Cocking a questioning eyebrow at Starsmore, she said, "I'm not sure you'd know dancing if it hit you over the head."
Still, she could lecture Terry on her thinnish skin later. It was entirely too easy to rile her up, which was why Foley and Starsmore took advantage of her so often. If she'd just learn to dish it out as good as she got, Paige was certain Terry'd end up being a lot happier with the Hellions.
Paige was too distracted by the game she and Jono were playing to notice when Terry slunk away into the club. Complete and utter focus on one task to the point of being oblivious to the world around her. It was both a good and a bad quality to possess.
Hands on hips, Paige merely grinned up at him. The smile she used to give Momma when she told her to do chores that she'd already finished hours ago. Used to drive Momma nuts. Paige could only hope it'd have the same effect on the leather rebel wannabe.
"Least the books have got some useful information to impart, which is more than I can say for some people." Gave him a pointed look, still grinning like the cat that not only swallowed the canary but made off with all its eggs and the nest while it was at it. "Y'know, Jono, you talk awful big. I'm wondering how much of it is just compensation." Quirked an eyebrow at him. "So, whatcha trying to make up for?"
Leaned forward, getting her lips as close to his ear as she could, brushing against him slightly. "Don't dare me to kick your butt six ways `til Sunday, boy, cause I'll do it in a heartbeat. And you'll never know what hit you, either."
Laughing, she moved back a pace from him and glanced around, looking for Terry. Who had been right there not that long ago. Stood on her tiptoes to glance over the crowd in an attempt to see where she'd gone but it was entirely too dark and the place was full of way too many people. "You lot are as bad as my younger brothers. Can't take you nowhere."

As he'd hoped, the little bloody princess fled off towards the bar, her near the same shade of red as her hair. Sod her, no sense of bloody humour.
Now Guthrie was another story. She rose to Jono's challenge, grinning cheekily at him. "Least the books have got some useful information to impart, which is more than I can say for some people. Y'know, Jono, you talk awful big. I'm wondering how much of it is just compensation." Quirked an eyebrow at him. "So, whatcha trying to make up for?"
He chuckled. "What makes you so certain it's talk, luv?" he countered lightly. "You're welcome to judge for yourself anytime you fancy."
Paige move right close, her lips near his ear. "Don't dare me to kick your butt six ways `til Sunday, boy, cause I'll do it in a heartbeat. And you'll never know what hit you, either."
Jono suppressed a shudder. Blind him, he liked a gel with a bit of a hard edge to her. And he was a bit of a masochist. Liked thrill rides, living on the edge. He grinned and leaned close to Paige's ear. "Anytime you fancy, sunshine."
Much to his disappointment, Guthrie decided to call off their game and glanced about, likely looking for Cassidy. "You lot are as bad as my younger brothers. Can't take you nowhere."
Jono gave a look around, scanning the room with his powers, and frowned as he saw some blighter pulling Terry towards the dance floor. He didn't need to read her mind to see she wasn't agreeable about it. He held up one finger. "Hold that thought, luv."
Weaving through the crowd with a mix of years of experience and a telepathic nudge here and there, Jono descended on the bloke who didn't know what no meant. He might an egotistical jerk, but there was plenty of willing talent about that a real man didn't need to be forcing himself on a gel who didn't want him.
Even if she was Cassidy.
Clapping a pale hand on the chap's shoulder, Jono cleared his throat. "Hey mate," he said quietly. "You might want to let the harpy go. She can be a right bitch when provoked. And trust me mate, you don't need that."

The bartender placed the two drinks in front of him and Josh took a few sips of his, scanning the crowds for the raven-haired beauty that would surely be accompanying him for the rest of the evening. Or at least for the next hour or so, depending on how he was feeling. But so far, it was turning into a fairly good night.
And it was just about to get better. Some moron was trying to tug a visibly reluctant Theresa towards the dance floor. Josh’s eyes narrowed. For a split second he debated approaching the couple. Theresa was more than capable of taking care of herself, but he’d caught a flash of her red hair earlier at the bar, and she’d had a drink in hand. Poor thing wasn’t blessed enough to have a healing factor, though she could drink most of the guys he knew under the table. Still, if he did approach she’d probably flip him off and go dance with the idiot anyway out of spite.
Oh, what the hell. If anything, it’d make the night much more interesting than it had started out.
Downing his drink quickly (not like it’d affect him much in a few minutes), Josh worked through the crowd, using his height to his advantage as he kept tabs on the couple as he approached, realizing Jono had just joined the mix. Josh smirked. Awesome. The Brit placed a hand on the guy’s shoulder, "You might want to let the harpy go. She can be a right bitch when provoked. And trust me mate, you don't need that." Josh stifled a smile. Theresa would no doubt get pissed.
Standing on the other side of the male overachiever, placing him between the two male Hellions, Josh added, "Plus she’s got this really infectious rash in the most inconvenient of places.." He grimaced, making a face, motioning before adding in a more nonchalant tone, shrugging slightly, "But I’m sure it’ll go away.. eventually."
All traces of teasing disappeared for the quickest of moments. Locking eyes with the guy, an intensity flashed over Josh’s eyes, "Besides, she promised me the next dance. That rash is affecting her memory." No, Theresa hadn’t promised him anything, and she’d probably say so with a vengeance. Whatever. The moron would either back off, or get angrier. Josh was kind of hoping for the latter. Either way, voluntarily or forcibly, he’d be dealt with and they could move on with their night.

Terry supposed she should have cared a bit more that she was still being pulled onto the dance floor although she had no desire to dance with the man. However, two strong drinks in the matter of minutes was already playing havoc with her head. She usually paced them out much better then that so it didn't affect her so bad. Tonight, she just wanted to forget where she was, who she was and pretend that the rest of the world didn't exist.
She saw him before he touched the man she was with and immediately, even through her haze, Terry's eyes narrowed at Jono. It was such an instinctive reaction whenever he was around because he had an uncanny way of making her feel five again. Yet another reason she hated him. Clamping his hand down on the man's shoulder, he said loud enough for her to hear, "Hey mate," he said quietly. "You might want to let the harpy go. She can be a right bitch when provoked. And trust me mate, you don't need that."
Her eyes narrowed more and the man looked between the two Hellions. “Fuck you, Starsmore,” she said to him as the man continued to hold her arm.
He looked rather indignant that his fun was being interrupted. However, another voice that made her temper flare made itself known as Foley stepped next to her and sandwiched he man between himself and Starsmore. "Plus she’s got this really infectious rash in the most inconvenient of places.." He grimaced, making a face, motioning before adding in a more nonchalant tone, shrugging slightly, "But I’m sure it’ll go away.. eventually."
Terry's eyes grew angrier at Josh's blatant lie and her mouth dropped open. Before she could express her outrage at him as well, he added, "Besides, she promised me the next dance. That rash is affecting her memory."
Snapping her mouth shut, she smirked. So he wanted to play it that way, did he? “Oh, dear,” she said in mock astonishment. “I completely forgot how badly Foley wanted ta get his hands on my 'rash'.”
With an impish smile, she reached out and took the golden boy by the hand and pulled him through the crowded dance floor. Terry would be the first to admit that she wasn't exactly sober but there was still no way she was dancing with Foley. Once they were out of sight of the others, she dropped his hand and turned to face him. The anger back on her face, she stood close and hissed, “Don't ya ever pull a stunt like that again.” That should get him to leave and she could slink back to the bar, grab one more drink then leave this nasty little hole.
((If you want me to edit the part with Josh, poke me))

"What makes you so certain it's talk, luv?" he countered lightly. "You're welcome to judge for yourself anytime you fancy."
Licked her lips, smiling. "I don't know, Starsmore. I'd hate to get all keyed up about something and then find it lacking." Glanced around the bar nonchalantly as though she were getting bored with the conversation. Couldn't give him the satisfaction of all her attention, after all.
Jono caught her by surprise when he leaned close to her ear and said, "Anytime you fancy, sunshine."
Right. He wished. Shaking herself off, Paige just smiled at him again, the flirting, teasing smile as she stepped back from him. Not too close. That was the name of this game. Thought he was some hotshot. Could make Terry run off after a few words, but he should know that she wasn't so easy. Gave as good as she got if not better. "Don't go making promises you don't intend to keep."
Still didn't see any sign of Terry, which concerned her a little but not much. Terry was more than capable of taking care of herself if the need arose. Paige was gearing up for round two with Mr. Tight Pants. It was probably a good thing he didn't need to breathe.
Showcased his butt nicely, though. Not that she'd admit to that in a million years.
"Hold that thought, luv." Jono said and then wandered off onto the dance floor. She considered following him for the fraction of a heartbeat, maybe less.
Starsmore was fun to toy with, but if she ran after him like some kinda girl on a string, she'd only prove Foley right. Instead, she shook her head, running a hand through her hair. Shouldn't be any lack of willing dance partners here even if they all looked like they'd just dragged themselves off the cover of Emo, International.
Started to talk to one who was a little less scary than the others, leaning her body against a pillar and arching her back suggestively, when she caught the light flashing off Foley's skin. Right. Hmmm. Probably nothing.
