Sean was disappointed, but he knew how important her students were to Elisabeth. He gave an exaggerated sigh, giving her his puppy dog eyes, and turning it off, like a light switch. He looked in the doorway to insure they were still alone. Satisfied, he pulled her close and whispered in her ear,
"I understand how important yuir students are to ye. Yuir an incredible woman, and I know yui'll make it up to me later. I'm a patient man, Elisabeth, and I trust ye." He kissed her lips softly, then pulled away to reach for his wallet. Handing her what he hoped would be enought for the skates, he grinned and told her,
"I'm a size twelve, and if ye can find them, I prefer hockey skates. Are we still on for skating later? If Ash wishes to join us, she's more than welcome. Oh, funny thing, I met Katherine in the rec room. She's part of the reason I met Charles and ended up here. I'll tell you the story later, when ye get back if ye like."
He kissed her once more, on the forehead.
"Have a good time, and be safe on the roads."

Betsy had expected the big, sad, droopy puppy dog eyes and just laughed when he did them. She shook her head. There was no way she should know him this well already.
Betsy sighed with relief when he smiled and told her he understood. She never really doubted it but it was still nice to hear. When he kissed her, memories of their early morning “play” in her room flooded her mind and she had to push them away. Betsy didn't even want to contemplate the effect he had on her.
She was about to refuse the money, Lord knew she could easily take care of the cost but she took it anyway, fully intending on giving it back to him, somehow. She was the one who had invited him skating, after all.
Betsy completely missed everything else he was saying until he pulled her face down and kissed her forehead. Grinning back at him, she replied, “I will drive carefully and you behave, Irishman.”

Sean arched his eyebrows, and realized Elisabeth never answered his question. I must have had her pretty distracted
"I'll behave if ye will, me lady. I look forward to skating, it has been a while. At least I dinnae have to worry about falling any more?!" The door was still closed with no sign of the student in question. He pulled her to him again, and hugged her, relishing the feel of her close to him. Then, he gave her that impish smile, and asked, poising his fingers,
"Elisabeth, are ye ticklish?" He attempted to tickle her sides, wanting to hear her laughter.

Ash flew down the stairs, Besty would already be waiting. It had taken Ash less then 7 minutes to get ready. She was wearing black pants and a loos green sweater over a wite long sleeve. She didn't run into anyone, which she was thankful for. She knew she should probably take the corners slower so as not to be scared if she ran into anyone, but she was too exceited to care.
When Ash reached the bottom of the stairs she didn't see anyone there. SHe knew Besty would already be there so where was she? Maybe something had happened? Or maybe she was in the Garage. Ash walked to the side door and opened it. Sure enough there she was... In the arms of some strange man. Ash blushed and ducked her head as the door shut quietly behind her.
She wasn't quite sure what to do at this point. Besty was obviously in the middle of something and Ash didn't want to interrupt, or rather bring attention to herself. The last time that had happened she'd ended up in a debate about a subject she wasn't too keen on. Her past. So she stood quietly, waiting for Besty to notice.

Betsy's hands snagged his wrists in lightning quick motion before he even touched her. Not letting his wrists go, she laughed and said, “Trying to tickle a fully trained ninja could be hazardous to your health, Mr. Cassidy.”
Remembering the security bracelet in her pocket, she let go of his wrists, retrieved it and handed it to Sean. “Will you put this in your pocket until Joseph wakes up? Then you can give it to him to take care of.”
“Was there anything else you needed from town?” She had sensed Ash come in and pulled away from Sean.
Looking toward the door, she called out, “Come on in, Ash. The car should be warmed up and we can get on our way.” When Ash was close enough, Betsy smiled warmly at her and said, “Ash, this is Sean Cassidy.” Putting her arm around Ash's shoulders in a protective gesture, Betsy continued, “Sean, this is Ash.” Betsy didn't bother to hide the pride in her voice when she introduced Ash.

"Trying to tickle a fully trained ninja could be hazardous to your health, Mr. Cassidy." Sean grinned at that statement, and giving an exagerated sigh, pocketed the strange bracelet.
"Was there anything else you needed from town?"Sean pondered the question and replied
"Nothing that I kin think of at the moment. I'll probably order a recliner online for me room." He saw Ash step in, and smiled kindly at her, reaching out to shake her hand, eyes twinkling with merriment.
"Hello Ash, it's nice ta meet ye. Ye might have me for a class or two. Well, you ladies have a good time, I've got a few things ta do around here."

Ash came quickly to Besty's side when she beckoned. She looked first at Besty when the woman put an arm around her shoulder and didn't look up at Sean until He held out his hand. She took it hesitantly and looked up into his merry eyes. Something about the way he spoke reminded her of something... What was it? She listened closely as he spoke again. There, that accent. It reminded her of her mother. Ash realized she was staring and dropped her gaze again. She blushed and wished she had had the foresight to leave her hair down and not up in a ponytail like it was now.
The man's news was interesting though. A teacher? She glanced back up at him. She was curious now. She only took one more peek before bending her head to study her feet once again.

Betsy gave Sean a warm smile as he greeted Ash. As she expected, Ash didn't say anything and until she got used to his face and voice, she wouldn't. As she led Ash to the car and opened the passenger door, she sent Sean a thought, <Thanks, luv. I'm not sure when we'll be back but I'll let you know when we are. And, Sean? What's your favorite color?>
Closing the door once Ash was settled, Betsy climbed into the driver's side and put the car in gear. As they pulled out of the garage, she looked at Ash and smiled, “Choice of music is up to you. Play with the radio or look through the cd's, I can listen to just about anything.”
After several minutes, they were on the main road toward Salem Center. Betsy wasn't going to take Ash into New York just yet. She wanted to start at the small Salem Center mall and if things went well, which is what she was expecting, they could move to someplace larger and more crowded. A smile seemed to be permanently stuck to her face as this was such a big step for Ash.

Sean grinned as he heard Elisabeth's voice in his head, an enjoyable experience. Favorite color he pondered, dark blue, but I'm becoming verra fond of purple as well. Have fun, and I'll see ye when ye get back. he thought back to her.
Suddenly he realized he had yet to unpack, something he'd forgotten about completely.

Sean pressed the buzzer for the gate and let the delivery men in. He opened the door as they approached, pleased with the quick service. The two men, pushed the dolly up and into the mansion.
"Mr. Cassidy, where do you want this?" One asked. Sean considered and noticed that the dolly would not do well on the stairs.
"Right here will do fine, I'll get it where it needs ta be. Thank ye." As he thanked them, he handed them each a tip, a fairly generous one. The two men muttered their thanks, and left.
Sean grabbed the box and began dragging it to the stairs. This was heavy, oh well, a workout is good for ye. He got a good grip on it, and started working it up the stairs.
After about twenty minutes, Sean was starting to sweat. He finally made it up the stairs, and dragged it into his room.
