Theresa listened to the rest of the phone call and when Magneto told them to gather their things and meet him on the jet, her eyes grew wide. Did that mean her and Tom? Wouldn't there be some sort of “getting to know you” period before diving head first into something as complicated as this trip to the States sounded?
Jean-Paul stood up and bid them all farewell in a cheery voice. Too cheery, according to “Vicky”. The man was just too odd to put in words and in one way he gave her the creeps, in another way she wanted to tease him. Such an odd, odd person.
Sabretooth and Exodus still scared her too much to pay attention to them so instead, she turned to Tom. Leaning in closely, she asked, “Does he mean us as well? If so, should we head back to the yacht? I don't think shorts in New York during December is a good idea.” Actually, she would have much rather stayed in Genosha. At least here she wasn't bound to her winter clothes like she was in Ireland.

Tom paid close attention to the rest of the phone conversation. After which, Magneto announced they were heading to the United States. He had outstanding warrants there, but there we're many countries where he didn't. Besides it was nothing he couldn't deal with, espicially with the Brotherhood behind him.
Theresa showed her nervousness with the question she asked. He'd have to watch her closely on this mission. It would pass soon as time went on but for now, he'd allow her to coast a little. "Yes, we need ta get my uniform and something different for you too." Tom replied quietly. Standing up, he said. "Theresa and I need to get some things from my Yacht. We'll be back shortly." With that, he left the room expecting Theresa to follow.

"Yes, we need ta get my uniform and something different for you too,” he answered her.
Good. That meant she could relax for a few moments without worrying that someone was peeking into her head or if she was going to get bitten. She stood up with Tom as soon as he announced their departure and followed him to the door.
She kept her head held high as she walked past both Sabretooth and Exodus, not wanting to appear as apprehensive as she really was. Not that she could really hide it from either man but it still made her feel better.
As she hurried after Tom and his long strides down the hall, Theresa noticed it had been..... swept? How very strange. Who could have done that while they were in the meeting? This place was odder then the rumors the village had about Cassidy Keep.

He grunted as he was instructed-twice- to take a bath. Somewhat angrily, he followed the orders and even went as far as donning a recently washed uniform. Returning to the briefing room, he sat back down and waited for the others to be ready.

Exodus stood by the door as a few people piled out to get ready for their mission. He just remained still and watched. Once everyone was gone, he approached Magneto. Being already ready to go on the mission, he didn't need the time to get changed or anything.
"Will this mission involve 'fourcing' our opinions, my leige?" As Exodus spoke, Sabretooth re-entered the briefing room. Exodus thought of his pounding headache, hoping that it wouldn't interfere with any non-sense that may arrise in Washington D.C.

Erik watched as Victor left the briefing room, actually following orders, as well as Black Tom and Theresa. Exodus's question gave him pause. Would they 'force' their opinion? On this issue? On the freedom and lives of every mutant in the world? Would he force them to see the madness they were about to inflict upon people, merely by the accident of their birth? The question seemed absurd.
Magneto looked over at his lieutenant. "I will do what is necessary to prevent this travesty from occurring, even if it means taking up with my old 'friend' Charles Xavier or anything as drastic as taking the American government hostage. This bill will not pass as long as I draw breath."
Erik let out long slow breath, calming himself. The thought the Americans would even entertain the idea of 'registering' and 'confining' mutants, made his blood boil. Land of equality, land of the free. Obviously, not all men were created equal, even under their 'just' laws. And if they tried to enact this one, he'd show just how unequal man and mutant were.
"When the others have returned, Exodus, bring them to the hangar," he informed him calmly. "We might even take in a bit of 'sightseeing' while we are there. I doubt you have even been to Washington. There many lovely buildings to visit, the White House, the Congress, open to the public, at least parts of them. We might catch up with my old 'friend', perhaps. Even Charles can see a trainwreck when it's about to occur. Perhaps this will finally open his eyes."
Giving Exodus one final nod, Magneto departed to go prepare himself and the jet for take off.
[[ Exit Magneto, although it doesn't appear the Brotherhood has a hangar bay. ]]

Exodus understood Magneto's explaination. The pounding in his head had dulled from the moment he woke up but it was still a nagging sensation. It was irritating to him at the most. Magneto's orders were clear. Once the two newcomers and the whining man come, they will be off onto their mission.
Exodus couldn't help but wonder if he could make it there through his new found powers. At his current condition, he wouldn't be able to. Once he was fully recharged, it may be able to happen. He decided to work on it and train to become a more useful teleporter. Then there would be no need for any other transportation.

Tom walked into the room, walking right past Exodus and paying him no attention. Seeing only Exodus and Sabretooth, he said "Where's Magneto?" Smiling at Exodus, he continued. "And why aren't you following him around like a good lapdog?" He couldn't help himself. Although that would have to be enough for now. They had a job to do.

Theresa silently walked through the building behind Tom, keeping her eyes in front of her. Although she kept an expressionless face (at least she hoped she did), inside she was getting nervous. Tom was there to support her, he had said so but what if he couldn't be there. Would she have to rely on these others or would she simply be left on her own? Theresa just couldn't see anyone else caring.
At least she had her voice to rely on. It had taken a long time but Tom finally was able to teach her how to use it at different pitches to get the sound to do what she wanted. It was fairly odd how he just seemed to know what to do but then again, she had just been so thankful for his help that she never looked too closely at his knowledge. Theresa supposed that it was just another trick he had picked up on over the years.
Following him into the briefing room, she stood just inside the door and noticed that Magneto wasn't in there any longer. Theresa had to hold back a gasp as Tom teased Exodus. Wasn't he worried what the other man could do to his mind? Theresa held her breath as she waited for the retaliation.

Exodus composed himself after Black Tom's irritating remark. The man was arrogant but there will be a time where it was going to come down to just him and Exodus. Exodus was confident that the man posed no threat to him.
"The strength of a man who hides behind a woman," Exodus merely remarked. His irritation with the man would have to wait until, at least, after the mission. "Since everyone has arrived, we must go to the hanger to set off onto our mission," Exodus explained to the group. He started to walk out of the room past everyone and to the hanger, not caring if they were following or not.. Sabretooth followed right behind him.

Tom smiled defiantly at Exodus's comment until he left the room. Then it became more of a scowl. He looked at Theresa and could see her nervousness over his comments. "Don't worry, I've seen his type before. Team player, he wouldn't hurt the cause just for revenge. I'll keep him just close enough not to hurt us. And I'll teach you some tricks to keep him out of your head after the trip." He explained. "I need to get something, then we'll go to the hanger." Tom made a quick trip into the kitchen then headed for th Hanger.

Theresa held her breath but Exodus merely replied, "The strength of a man who hides behind a woman.”
She let out the breath as he and Sabretooth left the room then realized what he said. Was he talking about her? Tom must have seen her nervousness because he came over and tried to reassure her.
One thing caught her attention. ”I'll teach you some tricks to keep him out of your head after the trip,” Tom informed her.
There were tricks to keeping telepaths out of her head? Suddenly, Theresa was overwhelmed with just how much she needed to learn. Nodding when Tom said he had to get something, she didn't pay much attention to where he went. When he came back, she just followed him to the hanger to board the jet.
