"That's what worries me." Erik let out a soft chuckle at Raven's dry reply.
Emma Frost glided into the room, accepting the wineglass with grace. "Thank you, you really needn't even ask, I drink wine like most do coffee." Emma's reply caused Magnus to raise one white brow at her. It was hardly strange tod rink wine with every meal, Erik was well accustomed to such things. But to drink it like coffee? It made him wonder how much the current students were taxing their lovely headmistress.
The elite students were called 'Hellions', after all. Emma obviously needed the strength where she could get it with a name like that to live up to.
Emma turned her attention to Mystique, pausing to peruse the head of the Red Guard rather appraisingly. "Hello Raven, I hope I'm not being too forward, but you are looking quite exquisite today."
Raven smirked slightly at Magnus, her expression speaking volumes about how amusing she was finding Ms. Frost's attentions. He shook his head, taking another sip of wine to hide his own amused expression.
"Thank you, Emma. You're looking rather good yourself." After returning the headmistress of the Royal Academy's compliment, she turned her attention back to Magneto after a few long minutes. "So, to business?"
"Excellent suggestion, Raven," he agreed. "Have a seat, Ms. Frost. I am waiting for a call that pertains to why I've called you here."
As if on cue, the phone on Erik's desk began to ring. He activated the speaker function with a thought, Black Tom's thickly accented voice came from over the phone. “Evening Magnus. Ta what do I owe tha pleasure?”
"Good evening, Tom," Magnus returned the greeting. "And unfortunately, it's business, not pleasure, that is the reason I called. I have sent you several pictures of a laboratory that exploded a few days ago. In Nebraska of all places. It was not sanctioned and may or may not be of interest to us. The Red Guard and the Hellions will be guarding the perimeter while you work. Your team will have access to hazmat equipment. The area is already sealed off, all it needs is to be cleaned up. If you need anything else, feel free to requisition it."
He turned his attention back to the two lovely women in his office. "Raven thought this would be a good training mission for your Hellions," he told Emma. "There is very little danger involved and with the Red Guard supervising, they should be fine." He picked up the file he had been showing Mystique and dropped in on the table in front of Frost.
"How is the new recruit settling in, Tom?" he asked idly, taking another sip of his wine.

The leader of the Red Guard seem to take her compliment well, not only that but she gave Emma one as well, "Thank you, Emma. You're looking rather good yourself."
After that it was all down to business, "Have a seat, Ms. Frost. I am waiting for a call that pertains to why I've called you here."
“Thank you, my lord.” Emma said as she took the seat that had been left open, obviously for her.
They really did not need to wait for this mysterious call that long at all. The phone next to the ruler of the world rang and he answered it by putting it on speakerphone, this was something for all of them to hear. On the other side of the line came the voice of someone with a rather evident Irish accent, “Evening Magnus.
Very interesting, this turn of events. The Hellions seemed to have been invited to join the Red Guard for this little trip. Lord Magnus then returned his attention to Raven and her and said, "Raven thought this would be a good training mission for your Hellions. There is very little danger involved and with the Red Guard supervising, they should be fine." He picked up the file he had been showing Mystique and dropped in on the table in front of Frost.
“Why Raven, I am sure my kids will be thrilled on finding out about this.” Emma said as she took a hold of the folder and began to look through it. “Please let me know if there is anything that I can assist you with.” at the last part she made sure to raise her eyes and make contact with Raven.
After looking through the file she closed it and set it back on the desk. “I hope I am not being to rash on asking if I could attend. Let me explain myself, I do not in any way or form believe the Hellions will not be taken care of. This is just more for me; it’s so hard to find time to visit other places looking after them.” Emma said looking between them, “That is if it alright with you both of course.”

As Emma settled into her seat, the phone rang. Erik set the speakerphone, and moments later the familiar brogue of the head of the Marauders rang out, “Evening Magnus. Ta what do I owe tha pleasure?”
She sipped her wine, small smile playing across her face. The idea of Erik contacting Tom for a game of golf was highly amusing. She doubted that the two had much contact with each other outside of business. It was for the best, though. Less to tie them together. She sat silently as Erik explained the situation, nodding. If the Marauders needed equipment, that meant that they'd have to find a way to get it to them. That wouldn't be a problem, though. It was easy enough to rent a hotel room, teleport everything in and disappear.
"Raven thought this would be a good training mission for your Hellions. There is very little danger involved and with the Red Guard supervising, they should be fine." Nodding again, she turned to Emma as the woman began to leaf through the folder. “Why Raven, I am sure my kids will be thrilled on finding out about this. Please let me know if there is anything that I can assist you with.” Smiling, she bowed her head, not missing the tone of Emma's offer. "I most certainly will."
Glancing toward the speakerphone, she cleared her throat. "Tom, I'll set up the drop point for supplies and fax the information to you, as usual. As Lord Magneto," she shot Erik an amused look, "said, anything else you need, let us know as soon as possible and I'll get it there."
Erik asked Tom about his newest recruit, and she smirked. Toad had been a member of the Guard for a good solid two years, and she'd known pretty much right off the bat that he was much better suited for the Marauders. He was excellent at following orders and not asking questions, two things that were ideal in a Marauder.
“I hope I am not being to rash on asking if I could attend. Let me explain myself, I do not in any way or form believe the Hellions will not be taken care of. This is just more for me; it’s so hard to find time to visit other places looking after them. That is if it alright with you both of course.” She looked toward Erik, shrugging. Provided Emma understood that while active in Guard duty, she was no higher rank than the other Guard members, despite her position at the Academy, there was really no problem with it. "That can be arranged. The students will most likely be paired with an Agent, preferably one with whom they have not worked before. I'm sure we can find something for you to do."

“Nebraska? Isn’t their a SHIELD base sitting smack dab in tha middle of tha’ state? Wha’ kind of dunce would set up shop so close?”
"Actually, it's in the eastern portion, but yes, it's less than twenty miles from the site," Magnus replied. "And that is what I want to know. The Red Guard will be there to guard the perimeter and aid your team in gathering as much data as can be from the wreckage. With the Hellions in attendance, people will believe it is a training exercise and pay it little attention beyond that."
Magneto was more intrigued by this secret laboratory than he was letting on. The fact that someone had been able to hide a facility that close to a SHIELD base undetected was amazing. It would have been impossible to build without their noticing.
Unless it had been there first. A disturbing idea that could not be discounted.
Erik took a drink of his wine, then looked over at Raven as she spoke to Black Tom. "Tom, I'll set up the drop point for supplies and fax the information to you, as usual. As Lord Magneto," she shot Erik an amused look, "said, anything else you need, let us know as soon as possible and I'll get it there."
“Well, he made it here alright. I guess we’ll see how useful he is soon.”
He could not miss Mystique's smirk at Tom's comment about Toad. Magnus shrugged, and shook his head a little, a small smile playing about his features. The requirements for making a good Marauder didn't normally involved a great deal of social skills. Hopefully, Mortimer hadn't made too poor an impression. Black Tom had free reign over his team, as long as whatever he did was quiet and went unnoticed by the general populace.
Pity to have the young man's career end so soon.
Emma seemed pleased with the idea of the Hellions being in attendance and also asked to accompany them herself. “I hope I am not being to rash on asking if I could attend. Let me explain myself, I do not in any way or form believe the Hellions will not be taken care of. This is just more for me; it’s so hard to find time to visit other places looking after them. That is if it alright with you both of course.”
Magnus nodded to Raven. It was her choice. He'd given her complete control of the Red Guard, and anyone on the mission (outside of the Marauders), was ultimately under her command. "That can be arranged. The students will most likely be paired with an Agent, preferably one with whom they have not worked before. I'm sure we can find something for you to do."
He nodded again, then turned his attention to the speaker phone. "Any questions, Tom?"

"We wouldn't want to expose any holes in security to our enemy's, would we?" Tom replied coolly.
"Any questions, Tom?" So many, but they would have to wait for now. “Just one, What time is the rendezvous?” He assumed it would be the next morning, US time. They would have to put on a good show for onlookers to make it seem like a training exercise. Huge caravans pulling in during the middle of the night set the conspiracy nuts on fire. Hopefully, someone already baited the local authorities too.

A smile crept across Emma’s face when she heard Raven’s "I most certainly will." answering her proposition. And why shouldn’t she answer that way to Emma’s rather obvious flirting, after all few people rivaled Emma in the beauty.
Mystique then turned her attention to the man on the other end of the phone, "Tom, I'll set up the drop point for supplies and fax the information to you, as usual. As Lord Magneto," she shot Erik an amused look, "said, anything else you need, let us know as soon as possible and I'll get it there."
Then Emma asked about perhaps joining them. Lord Magneto just nodded at Raven, since she was the leader of the Red Guard it would be her decision. "That can be arranged. The students will most likely be paired with an Agent, preferably one with whom they have not worked before. I'm sure we can find something for you to do."
“Thank you Raven, it has been a while for me to do anything in the field.” Emma said her feelings were clear on her face.
Once again Lord Magnus returned to speak to the man on the phone, "Any questions, Tom?"
“Just one, What time is the rendezvous?” ‘Tom’ said in his thick accent.
Turning to Mystique Emma had a question of her own, “At what time should I have the Hellions reporting to you? And are they to know any specifics or should we just let it be more of a surprise?”

“Thank you Raven, it has been a while for me to do anything in the field.” She smiled and bowed her head slightly. "More than happy to make sure you have the opportunity, Emma."
Things seemed to be pretty much settled. The Marauders would be there, as would both the Hellions and the Red Guard. That just left a few more things to be cleared up. “Just one, What time is the rendezvous?” She nodded. There was question number one.
Frowning for a moment, she replied, "0900, Nebraska time. That work for you?"
Not that it was a question. That was when they'd get going. “At what time should I have the Hellions reporting to you? And are they to know any specifics or should we just let it be more of a surprise?”
She turned to Emma, nodding. "We'll have a briefing in the morning, where the Hellions will be assigned a Guard member and filled in on everything that will happen. Let's make it a surprise, since when -if- they become Guard members, they won't have much warning in advance."
Looking up at Erik, she raised an eyebrow. "Anything else?" Glancing back at Emma, she frowned. "Do you still have a uniform, or should I have one sent over?"

Raven answered Tom's question about what time the teams would meet up and hashed out the rest of the details. She glanced up at Magneto, quirking one brow. "Anything else?"
Erik shook his head. "Not as far as I know," he told her. "You have all the information that's been gathered. When the children have settled on where we've having our little weekend jaunt to, I'll contact you. I'd like a report as soon as you have any new information." He turned his attention to the speakerphone. "Thank you Tom. Have a pleasant evening."
Cutting the connection after Tom had finished speaking with Mystique, he turned his attention to the lovely ladies gracing his office. "If there is nothing else, I would bid you ladies good-night. I have work to accomplish before my children drag me off on a relaxing weekend." He gave then both a polite nod, moving towards the door to open it for them when they were ready to depart.

Emma listened intently to Raven Darkholme, the leader of the Red Guard. It had been Mystique’s idea to include Emma’s Hellions on a mission with the Red Guard tomorrow. Also Raven had decided to let Emma come along on the mission. Something Emma was very much looking forward to.
"We'll have a briefing in the morning, where the Hellions will be assigned a Guard member and filled in on everything that will happen. Let's make it a surprise, since when -if- they become Guard members, they won't have much warning in advance." the enticing woman with blue skin said.
Emma chuckled, “That is great, since it seems that some of them have decided to have a night on town. Love the fact that they will be learning the important lesson that no matter what you are there for the missions.”
"Do you still have a uniform, or should I have one sent over?" Mystique asked her.
Her uniform, wow did that bring fond memories, “Thanks for the thought Raven, but no matter how risque I like to dress now, I have not been able to part with the uniform as of yet.”
Lord Magnus then turned his attention to them, as he was finished with ‘Tom’ "If there is nothing else, I would bid you ladies good-night. I have work to accomplish before my children drag me off on a relaxing weekend." he said as he opened the door for them.
“Thank you for your time sir. You too Raven.” Emma said as she stood, before exiting she looked at Magneto and said, “Hope you have a good time on your vacation.”

She smiled slightly as Emma informed her that some of her students were out for the night. Good, they'd learn the hard way just what it meant to be on active Red Guard duty. Evehtually, they'd have to figure out how to balance things. No time like the present.
Erik responded to her question, "You have all the information that's been gathered. When the children have settled on where we've having our little weekend jaunt to, I'll contact you. I'd like a report as soon as you have any new information." Nodding, she smiled. "Don't worry, I'll keep you updated."
“Thanks for the thought Raven, but no matter how risque I like to dress now, I have not been able to part with the uniform as of yet.” Also good. Meant less work for her, calling down to the storeroom and having a uniform tailored right, pressed... Things were definitely winding down, and Erik hung up the phone, turning back to them. "If there is nothing else, I would bid you ladies good-night. I have work to accomplish before my children drag me off on a relaxing weekend." She laughed as Emma stood to leave, rising to her feet as well and following the woman toward the open door. Knowing his children, a relaxing weekend would be anything but. And that's the way (uh huh uh huh) he liked it. “Thank you for your time sir. You too Raven.” Smiling at Emma, she bowed her head. "Anytime."
Waiting until Emma had left, she smiled again at Erik. "I suppose I had better go make sure that my son is breathing. Have a wonderful time, Erik and when you return, let's talk more about that torrid affair, hm?"
Laughing to herself, she patted him on the shoulder and headed back to Triskellion.
((Mystique exits to the Briefing Room, after some off panel... everything.))
