Jono watched as the purple panther moved to his side and morphed back into a naked shivering Sharon. Sabastian noticed this and yelled at him. " Jono, clothes!" Chamber groaned and palmed what was left of his face. Like they had time for her to get bloody dressed? What was Dark Matter thinking? The sirens' wailing moved him into action.
He linked minds with Sharon. < Kitten, go to your cat form, > he ordered. She could get dressed when they had lost the bobbies and mob. Sabastian's plan would take too bloody damn long and might endanger him. He glared at Dark Matter. < Bloody hell you will, > he snapped at him. < You lot are my responsibility. Now get bloody well moving! >
Rusty hesitated, not seeming to understand Sabastian's plan. "Come on, you can definitely hold it up as long as it takes us to get to the trees, he replied to Sabastian.
Jono rolled his eyes and shook his head. < Go now! > he ordered all three, then he turned to face the crowd and sent out harmless blast, but brighter than usual and blasting snow into the air. The mix of snow and psionic flames should distract anyone from their get away. Chamber turned and headed for the path.
As he hurried away, he mentally spurred on the Hellions, pulling the shirt collar back over the flames around his face.. < Move, you lot, > he said, trying to herd them away before the snow stopped swirling and the mob's eyes adjusted from the bright flash. He was definitely going to have to talk to Emma about how this lot works together. They needed a lot of training. If she didn't kill him for the media coverage.

At Jono's order, she shrunk back down to cat form, not wasting anytime in making her getaway. She bolted, the sudden blast of light from behind her frightening her and causing her to run faster than she thought she could. Reaching a path somewhat far away from the site, she jumped onto a bench and waited. Jono sounded angry. She didn't want him to be angry, all she had done was try to help.
It wasn't her fault that they got attacked, she was more than able to take care of herself. She'd done it for years before Emma found her. And this was her park. She had the home field advantage. But they had sent Rusty to get her, then Sabastian had felt the need to tie down her prey. And everyone seemed to be barking out orders, she didn't know who to listen to. It was the most confused she'd been in a long time. Usually when they trained, one person gave orders, and everyone was allowed to take care of their own targets. When she'd seen Sabastian's makeshift rope snaking toward her, she had felt more out of control of her quarry. Scared that if she changed back to human form, Jono would be madder with her, she sat on the bench, starting to feel the adrenaline lower and the cold kick in.

Sabastian frowned as Rusty called out to him, not quite sure what the boy meant. He didn't have time to contemplate it however since Jono decided it was time to take control the situation. Sabastian saw the look Jono gave him and turned on his heel and ran for the path he had been trying to get the others to go down. He stopped right as the edge and glanced back motioning toward the wall he had made, " You've got that as long as I'm within about onehundred feet."
He didn't wait for Jono to answer, or for Rusty to join him. Rusty would go when he went, sabastian couldn't do anythign about it. He could already hear the shouts of the police as they left their cars. Sabastian sprinted down the path. What had been up with Jono and Rusty? Did they think he was trying to play hero or something? That wasn't it at all! Still now was not the time to bring up an argument about it. Jono was the leader and so Sabastian had to do what Jono said.
He jumped over some boulders that were in his way, he wasn't sure where he was headed. For some reason he thought he might run into Sharon and group up with the other's from there. He wondered silently where the Hellion's that Madame had said would be watching them were. Hadn't Jono said they'd be followed by these people? Where were they? How come they'd let the situation get out of hand like it had. With the Hellions luck at the moment this story would probably end up all over the news!
He slowed his pace as he came to a clearing and let his eyes wander, where had Sharon gone? He needed to find her, " Sharon? Sharon?" He didn't stop to walk but jogged around the clearing. There! A purple cat sat elegantly on one of the park benches. He went over to her and squatted down next to the bench, " Sharon, are you ok? That man didn't hurt you right?"

As Sabastian approached her, she shook her head and morphed briefly back to human form so that she could talk to him. Ignoring the fact that her knee was almost right in his face, she crossed her arms, and frowned. "Can fight, am not stupid."
As the cold hit her again, she shivered and morphed back, fixing her purple eyes on him. Her words had come out harsher than she intended. She liked Sabastian, but she didn't appreciate his moving in on her prey. Leaping to the ground, she batted her head against his leg, trying to reassure him that she wasn't really as mad as she had seemed. Sure, he had startled her, but they had both made it out alive and unharmed. And that was all that really mattered.

God, they were in so much trouble. Jono was blasting and Sharon was dropping back to the ground, changing as she moved and everything was happening at once. Rusty kept tight control of himself, he was not going to panic now. He was calm, and he was making a retreat. Seconds later he was running away as Jono's blast lit up the park behind them, and Rusty ducked instinctively, arms raising to shield his head. He didn't stop running though. As soon as the blast died of, Rusty dropped his arms, running again until he hit the clearing with Sabastian and Sharon, in time to see the latter changing back to feline form, almost nuzzing Sabastian. "Are you guys hurt?" He asked, then cursed himself. "Never mind." If they were, they would have told him. "What do we do now?" He asked quickly, breathing rapidly. "Where's Jono?"
They were in so much trouble.

As if on cue, Jono stalked out of the woods. He was right pissed, not at the Hellions, but at himself, the thugs, the mob that had almost formed and the world in general. He had recovered his face, but the psionic inferno in his body was visible through the bullet hole in his jacket and shirt. He saw Sharon sitting on the bench in cat form, loving up to Sabastian who was crouched next to it. Rusty had just made it there ahead of him.
< Are you lot all right? > he asked, dropping the backpack on the bench next to Sharon. He shrugged off his duster, and dug out a fresh turtleneck sweatshirt. He barely felt the chill as he changed shirts, suppressing the flames as much as he could until they were fully covered again. He looked down at Sharon as he pulled back on his duster.
Chamber nudged the bag towards her. < Glad we brought extra clothes, eh, kitten? > he joked nervously. They weren't out of danger yet, but four teenagers would look a lot less bloody suspicious than two teenagers, a bloke with flames coming out of the holes in his clothing and a shivering purple cat. They could at least take a few moments to get dressed properly again.
He glanced around, then turned his attention to Sabastian and Sharon. < All right, you two know this place best, > he began. < We need to get out of here and not be seen by every bloody person in Central Park. Can we do that? >

Sabastian was startled as Sharon turned back into a human breifly. Her sharp words dug at him and he was sure that his face showed his surprise. He was trying to figure out why she had assumed that he was trying to fight her battles, and trying to figure out why everything he had done today so far had run amuck. Sharon's cat head butted against him and he realized he was still squatting next to her, probably still wearing that stunned look. He ran his hand down her back once and whispered an apology as Rusty came up. He stood and turned to the other boy, He was about to answer but Jono stalked up behind Rusty.
Sabastian watched him for a moment, trying to figure out what he was most angry about. He asked the same question Sabastian had asked sharon, and Rusty sharon and Sabastian. It seemed a little funny that they all asked what they could see plainly, " Yeah were all fine." He waited quietly and a little nervously as Jono pulled out cloths and began to change his shirt, handing Sharon some of her own. This part of the park was mercifully empty, but Sabastian was sure that once the police found out what had happened they would be barreling down the path they had just come on.
Sabastian brought his attention back to Jono as he spoke to Sharon and he. " Well... since we don't have a map, we can't be sure of the quickest and best route. I know that if we follow that path there, " He pointed to a path that rounded a corner, but an elephant's head could be seen above the bushes. " We can come out in a little while, however you can't get out of the park without being seen, this is surrounded by buildings and traffic. Sharon might know this part of the park better, but were going to run into people no matter what. That includes the police who will be looking for us. Speaking of which we don't have much time to discuss and wait here, cause they'll be right behind us..." He stopped and then looked uneasily at Jono, " It might work out better if we seperated.... They'll be looking for Four mutants, not two...."

She was relieved to see that Jono seemed a lot less angry than he had in the clearing. She morphed back into human form and started to get dressed, following Jono's lead. As they debated the best way to get out of the park, she simply listened. Once there was a break in the conversation, she threw in her two cents. "Is path. Not big path, little. There." She pointed near where they'd just come from. "Goes to hole in fence." Or at least it had gone to a hole in the fence a few years ago. Since the fence itself was behind a few bushes on the sidewalk side of it, there was a good chance that it was still broken.
"No need for seperate. Can all fit. Won't find, no uses path but homeless." She'd learned of the path from Stan and it was the way that she'd gotten to her park when she was having trouble with her powers first showing up. It was a very secluded path. In fact, when they'd first started using it, it wasn't even really a path. Over the years, though, it had gotten more and more worn and easier to find. But in the winter, it would be tough for anyone who didn't know it well.

Jono arrived, quickly changing his shirt and asking if they were alright, which Sabastian answered promptly. He really didn't know if Jono could actually get hurt, since he didn't have, you know, organs.
< All right, you two know this place best, > he began. < We need to get out of here and not be seen by every bloody person in Central Park. Can we do that? > Jono asked, and the two natives quickly answered, Sabastian suggesting one route, and Sharon suggesting another. "No need for seperate. Can all fit. Won't find, no uses path but homeless." Sharon said and Rusty spoke up "I think thats probably a good idea. Nobody listens to homeless guys anyway." At least not where he came from. He was rapidly finding out that people in New York were a good deal different than folks back home.
"Either way, we need to go now." He finished, looking over at Jono. He was the one in charge and he'd have to make the decision.

As Sharon changed into her clothing, Dark Matter confirmed that the Hellions were indeed in one piece. Then he considered Jono's question.
"Well... since we don't have a map, we can't be sure of the quickest and best route. I know that if we follow that path there," Sabastian pointed to a path though the woods. " We can come out in a little while, however you can't get out of the park without being seen, this is surrounded by buildings and traffic. Sharon might know this part of the park better, but were going to run into people no matter what. That includes the police who will be looking for us. Speaking of which we don't have much time to discuss and wait here, cause they'll be right behind us... It might work out better if we separated.... They'll be looking for Four mutants, not two...."
"Is path. Not big path, little. There." Sharon pointed another direction. "Goes to hole in fence. No need for separate. Can all fit. Won't find, no uses path but homeless."
Rusty seemed to like her idea. "I think that's probably a good idea. Nobody listens to homeless guys anyway," he said. "Either way, we need to go now."
Chamber nodded grimly. They still might need to break up into pairs to make a clean get away, but for now, if they could stay together, that would be for the best. And a deserted path in the woods sounded like the best solution to him. Sharon called this 'her' park and she seemed to know it really bloody well. He decided to trust her instincits. < Lead the way, Kitten, > he said. < Sabastian, you've got our backs. If anybody sneaks up on us, throw up a shield. With that bloody bill up for vote, we don't know what people will do if they recognize us. > He started towards the path.
First thing they were going to do when they got back to the Hellfire Club was call Emma. It would be better for her to hear about the incident from them, then see it on the evening news. Bloody hell, she was going to be right pissed. Hopefully, she wouldn't blame him for it.

( because no one is posting and I want to get this going again I'll post, sorry for any g-mods)
Sabastian waited in silence as the group 'discussed' their options, Rusty sided with Sharon as did Jono and Sabastian shrugged, Her plan was definantly worth a try, better than his own in that case. She knew this part of the city better anyway so Sabastian felt more comfortable following her plan anyway.
He nodded when Jono gave him his instructions. He was a bit relieved that Jono was finally acting like a leader, not in taking care of himself and being the descision maker, but in telling them what to do. Sabastian hadn't liked trying to figure things out by himself. He waited for the other two to go and he followed them, As he slid out the hole in the fence that Sharon had spoken about he heard the shouts of police behind them. He stopped and listened, they weren't shout's of exceitement, so the Hellions hadn't been found out this time. At least not yet.

Weaving through the woods, she ducked beneath a low hanging branch and out through the bushes, leading the group away from the park and toward the nearest alley. It was a route that she had taken numerous times while she lived out there, and it was almost second nature for her to follow it now. Finally stopping near the bend in the alley, she turned to everyone else. "Safe. Not to follow here."
She looked over the group, nodding. No one seemed hurt. "Where now?"

Jono followed Sharon in silence, wondering how the bloody hell one little outing in the city had turned into such a bloody mess. To be honest, the feelings he had gotten from the crowd made him angry. The gits had been trying to mug them, but the crowd thought they were the blighters because they were mutants. He had long ago given up on hiding what he was, he didn't believe in hiding, but this looney bigotry was forcing him to rethink his conviction. At least for the sake of the Hellions.
The finally emerged through the fence and into an alley. "Safe. Not to follow here," Sharon assured them. Where now?
Chamber leaned against a nearby building. They could take a breather now, well at least the Hellions could. He looked amongst them and let out long mental sigh. < We should get back to the Hellfire Club, > he said. < Old Mum's gonna have kittens when she hears about this bloody mess. It's best she hear from us first, instead of the news. >
He looked at Sabastian, and remembered the bloke saying something about wanting to visit his family. < You could probably go see your family, > he offered. < Most likely, no one noticed you with me and Sharon drawing their attention. It's up to you. >
Jono realized grimly how much of a liability he was to the Hellions when out and about. This encounter had proven that. The crowd wouldn't have nearly been so bloody scared if he wasn't there, shooting flames out. And then there was the bloody media coverage. He once again thought of how pissed off Emma was going to be. This might be their last chance to explore the city once she got wind of what happened. Might as make certain they'd had their fill of the Big Apple.
< What do you lot want to do? >

( Jeez I feel like a jerk. sorry guys! RL got very very busy fast, specially witht he hurricane sorry again, I'll try to get on more)
Sabastian looked around the alley, yeah they definantly wouldn't be followed here! When Sharon asked where they should go now, Sabastian didn't say anything, really and trully he thought the choice should be Jono's... of course he really just wanted to get out of the alley. It stunk!
When Jono mentioned the club and Madame Sabastian had to agree, with both. He didn't like either of them, but he definantly agreed... Then Jono mentioned his family and Sabastians head snapped around. Seriously? By himself? Sabastina didn't say anything for a moment and then asked carefully, "You mean alone?" Sabastian wouldn't allow himself to get excited. There were still other things that might ruin his plan, but this was perfect. If Sharon's excursion hadn't shaken off the Hellfire mutants then Sabastian would. Of course there were other matter's that needed taken care of as well, " If you want I can call her right now..."

She looked around and shrugged. "You choose." It didn't really matter to her what they did now. She'd gotten to see her park, she'd had her fun. She was a little bit mad at Sabastian, but she'd get over it. Otherwise, she was having a good time just winging it. Looking over at Sabastian, she smiled. "Visit people, go."
Not that she was trying to get rid of him or anything. Okay, maybe a little bit. But he probably really wanted to go see his family. She took a step into the alley and bent over to tie her shoe. She never could get the knots to stay put.
Rusty stood nervously at the entrance of the alley. He didn't like the idea of being in the dark dirty corners of the city with the cops chasing him. Call him old fashioned, but that just didn't describe his idea of a good time. "We... we should go back. Definitely. Before we get into any more trouble. Or lost."
