Thankfully, Sean didn't press her for a date. They had been engaged for less then a day and she was still recovering from actually accepting it. The least he could do was give her a few years for the reality to finally sink in. Then maybe they could do a trip to Vegas. It wasn't like she really needed a piece of paper to prove her love to him and she'd be perfectly content to just live with Sean the rest of their lives.
“But, I thought ye enjoyed the wine without the glasses,” Sean said when she mentioned actually drinking it from a glass.
Giving him a mock look of exasperation, Betsy murmured, “Heathen.” Then she left to go fill the bathtub.
As soon as the tub was full, Sean slipped in and said, “Come on in, luv, the water's fine.”
Laughing, she poured two glasses of wine and handed him one. “I know it's fine, I fill it myself.” Then she slipped into the tub and snuggled up against him. Sipping the wine, Betsy leaned her head against Sean's shoulder and sighed. It was too bad that life couldn't always be that simple for them.

“Heathen.” Sean stuck his tongue out at Betsy, knowing she'd pick up on it. He grinned, shaking his head,
“I heard tha', Bets.” He took the glass of wine as Betsy handed it to him. He took a sip, watching her step into the tub. Such a beautiful woman, inside and out, and she loved him. For reasons he didn't really understand, but he wasn't about to complain.
“I know it's fine, I fill it myself.” Sean wrapped his arms around her when she sat down, leaning in to kiss her neck. He moved his hands to massage the small of Betsy's back slowly. He nibbled a bit on her neck, closing his eyes.
“Just like everythin' ye do, it's perfection.” He buried his face in her long, luxurious strands of purple hair, and sighed. This had been an off the wall day.
“So, what would ye have said this mornin' if I'd told ye about the things in store for us taday? I dinnae think I would have believed most of the things fate had planned.”

After she had settled into the tub, Sean wrapped his arms around her and Betsy set her glass on the edge of the tub. As he kissed her neck, she laid her head back against the wall of the tub and closed her eyes. His hands on her back helped to release the rest of the tension that was still present, mostly due to the fact that they lived their lives wondering if they were ever going to be caught by Magneto's forces. The cover of a training school, while an accurate cover, would only last so long and they all knew it.
When he leaned in and pulled her close, burying his face in her hair, Betsy's hands wrapped around him and she began to stroke his back. “So, what would ye have said this mornin' if I'd told ye about the things in store for us taday? I dinnae think I would have believed most of the things fate had planned,” he asked in her ear.
She chuckled. It really had been an odd day, even for them. “I would have probably checked to see if you'd slipped a mental disk in the middle of the night. At least Scott and Jean have Nathan back. That was such an unexpected shock. The DNA test should be complete tomorrow but it's really him,”she told Sean.
Then, choosing to forgo conversation for a while, she allowed her hands to wander down his body and turned her face toward this mouth.

“I would have probably checked to see if you'd slipped a mental disk in the middle of the night. At least Scott and Jean have Nathan back. That was such an unexpected shock. The DNA test should be complete tomorrow but it's really him,”Sean laughed quietly,
“For a while, I thought I might have.” Then there was no more need for words. He was with his fiancée, the love of his life, and it was just the two of them. So what if their cover could be exposed at almost anytime? Right now, in this moment, all that mattered was them. He closed his eyes, caressing Betsy's face with his hands. Then he opened them, looking into her dark eyes. He smiled, grateful for the odd turns and twists his life had taken, that had led him to Xavier's. While there were somethings he wished had been different, meeting Betsy was not one of them.
Sean ran his hands down Betsy's purple hair, and continued down her back. Then he took her hands, and began to kiss each finger, moving his way up her arms. He paused briefly at the ring, grinning at the sight of it. He slowly made his way up her arms, and to her neck, one of her most sensitive spots.
