The compound had many trails, some of which led out into the city, and only one of which was guarded. Most of the other trails were well hidden. She headed down one of them, enjoying the barely audible sounds that the animals in the trees made as they got out of her way.

Sabretooth slammed the door shut, sending a flock of birds into the night sky. The instant he stepped out he smelled fear, an emotion that often accompanied those who saw him.
"Where to?" he asked curiously.

She looked over to him, glad to see that he was still confused.
"You're the one who wanted to walk in the first place."
She moved onto one of the paths that led down into the town. There were bound to be a few places open there. And some that weren't would most definitely open for Sabretooth. He could be very convincing.

Floating high in the sky above the Brotherhood base, Northstar simply flew. He didn't push himself to go fast, his powers automatically moving him along faster than a normal person could move on the ground. He loved to drift like this, just floating away from the clash of personalities that made up the Brotherhood.
Rolling over, he spotted two figures leaving the base. Closer inspection revealed Mystique and Sabretooth. Hoping it was another of Mystique's jokes, Jean-Paul followed high ahead. He appreciated a sense of humour like Mystique's.

"You're the one who wanted to walk in the first place."
"That was when I thought I was gonna be alone. Didn' expect ya to come along!" he said, scratching his head.
He had planned to go prowling and perhaps scare a few people going for a late night walk. But, since Mystique was here he would just follow her.

"Well, I could just go back inside if you don't want me out here with you."
She made a move like she was going to head back up the path, hoping that he would react in the way that she'd planned. If not, there were other ways to occupy her time. But she had a good feeling that things would go as she thought.

((OOC: I'm unsure what you mean... But I will try to guess LOL! And Northstar, better be careful I can smell ya!))
"Well, I could just go back inside if you don't want me out here with you."
"You don' have ta go, I was just say....." he stopped and sniffed loudly. "Mr. goodie goodie is up there somewhere! Come down here ya lil runt! I'll tear ya ta pieces!" he roared angrily while scanning the sky.
Sabretooth began pacing back and forth, sniffing from time to time. He hated being followed, spied upon, or the general feeling of being watched. In his life there had been many times he was caged and examined, or put in a room and observed. He hated it. Northstar had chosen the wrong guy to spy on.

((Just play. Don't worry about it.))
She smiled. "Then lets go into town. Let Jean-Paul be. It doesn't really matter what he's up to."
She steeled herself, readying herself for keeping all of the disgust from her voice as she continued. "Besides, I just want to walk with you. No distractions."

((LOL! This is going to get really embarrassing for Sabretooth I can tell!))
"Besides, I just want to walk with you. No distractions."
Sabretooth's eyebrows rose at this remark, he had the distinct feeling that he was going to regret inviting Mystique on this walk.
"Alright, but if I EVER see Northstar alone, ya may find him skewered like a shish kabob!" he finished with a low growl.

She smiled. "That's fine with me. Just not tonight."
She looked back at the compound, making sure that Moss was not near. Over the past two months, she'd been spending a lot of time with him, leading him on. He was basically putty in her hands, and she liked to remind herself that he wasn't the only one that she could manipulate.
"You want to go scare the locals a bit, or just...hang out?" She left the meaning of "hang out" open to interpretation.

"You want to go scare the locals a bit, or just...hang out?"
"Totally up to you my dear. Both sound enjoyable to me." he began walking down the dirty trail, kicking up plumes of dust as he did so.
He could still smell that preppy freak up there. He looked up again, daring Northstar to come down. If he did, he may have to disapoint Mystique and kill the runt right then and there.

She sighed, still speaking in the voice of Leni Zauber. "Victor, there's a reason I asked you instead of just doing something myself."
She was caught up in being someone else. It had become so much a part of her life that she often wondered which "her" was really her. In the past, she'd become so involved in her alternate personas that she'd put her own life on hold, disappearing for months and returning to find things had fallen apart in her absence. She created more work for herself that way, but she didn't feel compelled to change it. Her inconsistancy was the one constant in her life, and she liked it that way.

"Victor, there's a reason I asked you instead of just doing something myself."
"Errr, I guess we could hang out, and if any of the locals pass us by we could scare em! Ya, that would suit my liking!" he thought of all the times he passed astranger and litterally made them wet there pants.
Once, when he was prowling the town he saw some teenagers making out on a bench. As quiet as could be, he snuck up behind them and roared. The boy screamed like a women and fled.
The girl was ditched and left for Sabretooth to deal with. Now that wasn't a respectful thing to do so he hunted the boy down and hung him by his underwear on a flag pole.

She smiled. Hanging out was a good thing. She knew that Northstar was probably still up there somewhere, watching, and she wanted to put on a good show. She led Sabretooth to a secluded area of the Brotherhood compund, where a fallen tree trunk made a good bench.
"I've been thinking, Vic... about..." She struggled a bit with the name, having a hard time keeping the disgust out of her voice. "Graydon. What if I'd kept him? What if we'd all been together?" She hoped that he would buy it.

Sabretooth sat next to her and laughed. Was she drunk?
"If that had happened I would probably be the one to kill em!"
Sabretooth growled at a nearby animal scurrying in the tree branches. It squeaked, making Sabretooth smile evily.
