"We'd need to hit Baja fresh... I gotta eat vegan." he sighed. she was treating him as a stranger. he knew she was just being professional, but he still wished she'd show him some affection like she used to.

She nodded and entered some information into the computer system in the car. There was a Baja Fresh somewhat nearby. They'd pull over, since it had been awhle since she'd eaten, too. She looked at Moss, recognizing the expression on his face. She felt bad, but there was no way that she was going to act at all kind with Adam around. It would just have to wait.

Adam just sat back, Baja Fresh what the heck was that? He looked up at the lady through the rear view mirror and didn't do or say anything just sit in the back of the car.
Ear fumed under the surface this was not going to be easy, food would help but he wasn't going to get any unless it was handed to him, he wasn't going to ask, he wasn't going to say anything. This was getting more complicated and he really was starting to get ticked off at this guy sitting beside him. He was so open, so easy for Ear to read. He mentally rolled his eyes this was going to be a dificult situation to get out of, if he did. He stopped thinking a moment and then thought about the other alternative, what if he stayed. What if he actually found some people who could take care of themselves. The woman definitally exuded the confidence needed for that... why not?

Moss shook his head. he was acting like child. "So where are we headed Mystique," he said in a stronger voice than normal. He knew what came with Mystique as his love. he needed to act like he was ready for what came with her.

She frowned slightly. Didn't anyone listen? "Washington. We have some...business with Congress."
Pulling into a truck stop with a few restaraunts attached, she parked the car neatly and turned to face the two, pulling out a few twenty dollar bills and holding one out to each of them. "Get whatever you want. Moss, keep an eye on our little friend. Make sure he eats something. We have to be quick; Magneto and the rest are also on their way.
She stepped out of the car and headed toward the rest stop, pausing to help a woman who was juggling two toddlers and a baby carraige fold the small stroller away into the back of her van. After exchanging brief pleasantries, she continued on. Evil did not have to mean heartless.
She eventually found herself sitting at a table somewhat near a window, where she could easily see the car. If the boy decided to get ballsy, she'd be able to stop him.

Adam watched Moss deciding whether or not to get out of the car first and decided what the heck. He grabbed the twenty and headed in. If he was lucky he might just be able to get something and sit far away from this jerk.
Adam went to the chinese place and got moo shoo pork and wonton soup with an egg roll before going to sit at a two person table and taking up most of it with his tray and food.
Ear was thinking furiously. Dared he try and get away now? What would it gain him? Did he want to go to Washington D.C.? No, he decided, D.C. was definitally not his flavor.

Luckily there was a Wendy's there with large salads. he sat down right across from Ear, keeping an eye on him as he'd been told to.

She ate her chicken slowly, keeping an eye on the newcomer. She wasn't entirely sure what she was going to do with him once she had effectively taught him not to sneak into people's homes. She tossed the half eaten drumstick down and took a long drink of her Mr. Pibb. Food had never really been very high on her list of priorities. She could shift her mollecules to repair any damage that not eating might create, but when in Rome... Looking down, she unwrapped her pathetic excuse for a fork and started to eat her potatos.
Once she'd finished off her meal, she stood up and disposed of the trash before heading over to the table where the two were eating. "Come on, boys. Time is of the essence. Either of you have to use the restroom?"

Adam looked up as the woman came over.
Ear jumped at his chance for getting away. The restroom, how simple. "Yeah, I'll just be a minute." And before Moss could react he started walking toward the restroom just down the way. He prayed to all and any gods there were windows, and there were. The only problem was they were kinda small. Ear looked around and didn't find anything he could break the window with so he went and started to crank it open. Stupid old fashioned window! Just a couple seconds and he could squeeze through, just a couple more!

As Adam walked away, she couldn't help but notice that he moved with a certain energy that he didn't have before. Without saying a word to Moss, she ducked into the gift shop and stood behind a rack of t-shirts, morphing into the form of a middle-aged man. Walking out again, she entered the men's room. Sure enough, Adam was trying to make an escape. She walked up to the sinks and washed her hands, watching him as he tried to get the window open. Drying her hands, she stepped up next to him. "You need a hand with that, son?"

Ear jerked around as a man entered and slowed down the cranking on the window. "No, I just needed some fresh air in here. I hate the smell of a reaking bathroom and I think a couple people will appreciate it later." He cursed mentally and quickly thought up a way to get him to go away. "If you'll excuse me I got to go. I just wanted fresh air." He ducked into one of the stalls provided and waited for the sound of the man leaving. To be sure he stood legs apart and sent his hearing out to follow him out.

She smiled. He was a little bit crafiter than she had anticipated. She headed towards the door, morphing into a large spider just before she exited. Skittering along the wall, she made her way to just above the window and waited, sitting on the lip of the sill so that she couldn't be seen from the ground. If he tried to escape, she'd be more than ready for him.

Ear listened stunned. that man had just disapeared without ever opening the door. He thought back ove rwhat he heard. Steps then, skittering was it? He tried to remember exactly what it was. He couldn't, damn his memory. Sighing he decided that the man was gone. There was no other option. He waited a little longer just to be sure but then opened the stall door slowly and looked around, nothing. He turned to the window and looked at it. It was still open, and just wide enough for him to squeeze through. He was glad he hadn't eaten everything and just as glad that he was skinny. Putting his hands on the edge he lifted himself up to flimb through and outside into the bushes.

Climbing down and above him, she steadied herself on the outside wall of the building, then jumped, morphing back into her blue self just before landing. Looking him directly in the eye, she smiled. "Advice. Don't try to get away from me. I've retained much more menacing and intelligent people than you before. It's hopeless. I suggest you climb back through that window and go get Moss, then meet me at the car." She turned as a car rounded the corner. When she faced him again, she was once again in the form of the middle-aged man, although the voice was still her own. "Don't make me have to come in there and escort you out myself."
