"Thank you, Theresa. I'm sure my new family will enjoy your company as much as I have. I'm glad to have met you , too. More than glad, I'm grateful and more than lucky to have met you," Alex said as he moved closer to her and kissed her.
Theresa reacted naturally to him, like she did with everything, and never questioned what she did. Reaching her arms around his neck, Theresa leaned in to the kiss. Several minutes later, she pulled back, her light blue eyes slightly darker as she looked up at him. "We really should get some sleep. It sounds like a busy day is planned for tomorrow," she told him a bit reluctantly. Lord knew she didn't want to stop what they were doing but she also had enough sense to know she was exhausted.
Slipping out of his arms, she walked over to the light and turned it off, then walked back over. Running her fingers down his covered arm, she asked, "Do ya have ta wear this suit all tha time? Do ya need ta release some energy?" It suddenly occurred to her just how much she had to learn about Alex. Smiling slightly, Theresa knew she was going to enjoy learning as much about him as she could.

"We really should get some sleep. It sounds like a busy day is planned for tomorrow," Theresa said when their kiss broke off. Alex kept his eyes closed and savored the taste of her lips and the feeling they left on his own. He only opened his eyes when Theresa left his hold to turn off the lights. Alex's eyes adjusted slowly to the darkness but it seemed like Theresa was fine with it as she came back to his location.
"Do ya have ta wear this suit all tha time? Do ya need ta release some energy?" Theresa asked him as she ran her hands up and down his arms. It was relaxing but would have felt much better to feel her skin touch his. His eyes started getting used to the darkness and he could see Theresa's face once again. Like always, she can bring a smile to his face by her blue eyes. They were mesmerizing and hypnotic. Alex was completely under her spell.
"I should be fine until morning," Alex assured her. "I won't need this suit to sleep tonight but sometimes I do need it," Alex explained for future referrence. Then Alex thought of why he said that. Theresa was going to be there every morning when I wake up and when I go to sleep, Alex thought as he took a step away from Theresa to take off his containment suit. "I hope you don't mind," Alex said smiling at the red haired woman who had captured every ounce of attention Alex had. He stood in the darkness with only his boxers on, what he normally wore to bed. Walking back over to Theresa, he couldn't stop looking into her beautiful blue eyes. I get to see these eyes whenever I want and I can hear her voice everyday, Alex thought. He couldn't help but smile and he couldn't help but share his thoughts to her.
"I told you I was lucky," Alex said to her as he wrapped his arms around her waist again. "I get to wake up to this face every morning," he continued with a quick kiss on her lips. "and this neck," Alex followed up with a few small kisses down the side of her neck. "and these ears," he playfully massaged her ear lobes with his lips. "but most importantly," Alex stopped to look back into her eyes. He kept his forehead up against hers so that he remained close to her. "I've got you and I don't want anyone else," Alex admitted his feelings finally and remained still to see her reaction. He set himself up for some heartbreak if she didn't feel the same.

"I told you I was lucky. I get to wake up to this face every morning, and this neck, and these ears, but most importantly, I've got you and I don't want anyone else," Alex told her after he changed out of his containment suit and then proceeded to tickle her with little kisses.
Grinning wickedly, she wrapped her arms around his neck and replied, "Good." Pushing herself up on her tiptoes, she kissed him. It was a fairly chaste kiss that quickly became something more. In the back of her head, Theresa knew she needed to sleep but her body had decided it wasn't quite as tired as she thought. Pulling Alex down on the bed, Theresa proceeded to intimately explore the body of the man she had pretty much just committed herself to.
Later, snuggled into her comforter, she looked at Alex, her eyes already half closed in sleep. Through her drowsy voice, she asked, "Tell me about yuir brother and his wife. Why were ya separated fer so long?" She had meant to ask the questions early but got a bit distracted.

Alex was relaxed but seriously tired. It was a long day but well worth it. Theresa was giving up so much for him and he didn't know why. Alex wanted nothing more to spend more time with her, even if they weren't in bed, he just wanted her there with him. It was a feeling he's never felt before and it was a feeling he didn't know how to put into words. It was like he wanted to spend every minute with her but he knew that was impossible. A small kiss to the top of her head, as she laid with him, sent the scent of her hair through his nose once again. It was a beautiful scent and he was going to be able to smell it everyday.
"Tell me about yuir brother and his wife. Why were ya separated fer so long?" Theresa asked as she looked up at him. he could see how tired she was but there was nothing she could ask of him that he wouldn't do for her. Even though he knew it was going to put her to sleep, he would explain. The memory that was supressed for so long, he was going to share it with her. He had nothing to hide from Theresa.
"When Scott and I were really young, were on a small plane. My father was a pilot," Alex started to explain. "A fire broke out somehow while we were in the air. My parents strapped me and brother into a parachute and threw us out of the plane. My parents both died when the plane exploded," Alex started to choke on the words as he said them. It was a memory that he didn't visit very often. Actually, it was rare. "Scott and I went to an orphanage where I was adopted. I never saw Scott again," Alex stopped the story there as he checked to see if Theresa stayed awake for the story. He wouldn't blame her if she fell asleep. She had a very emotionally stressing day that must have taken a lot out of her.

My parents strapped me and brother into a parachute and threw us out of the plane. My parents both died when the plane exploded. Scott and I went to an orphanage where I was adopted. I never saw Scott again," Alex explained to her, the agony in his voice obvious.
Theresa reached up and touched his cheek gently and whispered, "Oh, Alex, I can't imagine. I am so sorry for your loss." She had been lucky in that regard. She had no memory of her parents at all, only what Tom had told her. While she was growing up, she would hear about all the sweet and wonderful things that Maeve had done or said and as Theresa grew older, she began to realize just how much Tom had loved her mother. She never had the courage to ask why he hadn't married her instead of Sean.
Theresa wrapped her arms around him in an attempt to comfort him and she snuggled into his chest. Listening to his heart beat and feeling his even breathing took it's toll on her quickly and before she knew it, Theresa had fallen asleep.

"Oh, Alex, I can't imagine. I am so sorry for your loss," Theresa said to him. Alex thought she had fallen asleep but was relieved to know that she cared enough to listen. Her concern made him smile. She really was a caring person.
"It's okay, that was a long time ago," Alex replied. He can see how tired she was and he felt the same way. "Get some rest, Theresa," Alex finally said smiling at her exhausted look on her face. There was no time, even when she was angry, that Alex didn't see her as beautiful. They had plenty of time to trade stories later and Alex wanted nothing more than to fall asleep with her in his arms. Theresa wrapped her arms around him and fell asleep quickly on his chest. It didn't take long afterwards for Alex to do the same. Her comfort and warmth eased Alex into a deep sleep.

Alex opened his eyes slowly and stared up at the ceiling. His sight was blurry and he couldn't remember where he was. It would ony take a few minutes before he sat up to wipe away the blur from his eyes. His memory came back as soon as he shook the cobwebs from his sleep deprived mind. Looking next to him, Theresa had rolled over to her side and was still sleeping. She looked peaceful and Alex couldn't resist joining her. Curling up next to her, he wrapped one arm around her and laid with her. Theresa's hair still smelled beautiful even after a night's sleep. Pushing in closer, his bare chest pressed against her bare back. He just held her and gently kissed her shoulder.
Alex laid there and started to drift off to sleep. He was thinking about what the two of them could do today other than visit with Scott and Jean. Breakfast, Alex thought. I need to get some breakfast, Alex looked at Theresa. He didn't want to eat without her and he couldn't bring himself to wake her. Waiting was all he could do.

The unfamiliar weight of something across her body slowly seeped into her consciousness and Theresa reluctantly opened her eyes. She had been so comfortable, so cozy in her dreamless sleep but her mind was begging to know what this weight was. As she saw her hotel room, she remembered the day before and smiled.
Pulling Alex's arm closer to her and snuggling back into him a bit more, she thought about the odd, chance encounter. The only downside had been Tom's reaction to Alex but he would get over it. Besides, he had set her free last night. Now that she thought about it, it was a scary thought. She had never been on her own outside the comfort of the Keep and here she was, in a new country, relying on someone she just met the night before. She wondered what she would have to do to be able to stay there and not be taken back to Ireland. Surly Tom had a passport or something for her. She was really going to have to sit him down today and talk to him.
Turning in Alex's arms to face him, she looked up into his beautiful face and said, "Good morning."

Alex woke up completely when Theresa snuggled closer to him. The warmth of her body was comforting and made Alex hold on tighter. All the thoughts that were running through his head was now lost. His attention was completely on Theresa. Her body curled perfectly with his. It was almost like their bodies were made to fit together.
"Good morning," Theresa said after she turned around to face Alex. The softness in her voice matched the texture of her skin. Alex alowed his hands to run alongside her waist when she turned. The irish woman knew how to take care of her body. Never has Alex felt anything like it. Nothing matched Theresa's beauty. There was nothing about her that he can complain about.
"No," Alex stated as he wrapped his other arm around her. "It's been the best morning waking up next you," Alex explained before giving her a quick kiss. His hands wandered around on her back. He couldn't resist the sensation her beautiful skin gave him under his touch. He still couldn't believe that he almost lost Theresa the day before. He never wanted to let her go.

Theresa didn't reply to his explanation, the feel of his hands on her back already making her forget about breakfast. Instead, she wrapped her arms around his neck, pressed close to him and kissed him. That was the end of thinking about food for a while.
Later, Theresa managed to find her way out of bed and walked over to the clothes she had bought in the gift shop the day before. The number one thing on the top of her list to talk to Tom about was money. Surly she had to have some from her mother. Before claiming the shower, she sat back down on the bed and asked, "Do we want to eat breakfast here or go somewhere else to eat?"

Alex relaxed in the bed. He was tired but, more importantly, he was hungry. All the energy he exerted towards Theresa was exhausting but well worth it. He hoped Theresa felt the same but overall, he just liked having her with him. Her voice was a relaxing and her presense soothed him.
"Do we want to eat breakfast here or go somewhere else to eat?" Theresa asked after gathering her clothes. Alex should have been doing the same but he was being lazy. As Theresa sat down, Alex couldn't resist her soft skin. His hands ran across her bare leg, taking in the smoothness of her body.
"How about we ask my brother and his wife out to breakfast?" Alex asked while he looked up at her beautiful eyes. "I would just like to spend breakfast with just you but I don't know if I'll ever be able to see Scott again," Alex admitted. He did want to spend the day with Theresa but this was important. Over twenty years and he just randomly bumps into Scott out of nowhere. Alex wasn't going to ignore it, he will meet his brother and keep in touch with him no matter how far away he lived.

"How about we ask my brother and his wife out to breakfast? I would just like to spend breakfast with just you but I don't know if I'll ever be able to see Scott again," Alex suggested as he stroked her leg.
After her brief encounter with Alex's brother the night before, she was nervous about seeing him again. Theresa knew she couldn't have made a very good impression with her outburst with Tom. It was something her and Tom were used to, well, except the slap to the face, but she doubted that the other two men had ever heard people argue like that before. At least she didn't cause any more damage to the room by letting her own powers get away from her.
Smiling at Alex, she replied, "That sounds good. I'm going ta take a quick shower, why don't ya call them ta make sure they want ta go." Theresa half hoped they would turn him down but then that was being selfish. Just because she was nervous about his family didn't mean he shouldn't spend time with them. Maybe Alex's sister-in-law would be nice.
Walking to the bathroom, Theresa took her time in the shower. She knew she was stalling but couldn't help it. Finally emerging and quickly drying and dressing, Terry stood in the doorway to the bathroom brushing her hair out to find out what they were going to do.

"That sounds good. I'm going ta take a quick shower, why don't ya call them ta make sure they want ta go," Theresa said with a smile. Alex nodded back and Theresa went into the bathroom to take a shower. He couldn't help but watch her walk away, her movements were enchanting.
Alex waited until he could hear the water running before he picked up the phone. Calling down to the lobby to get Scott's room number, he hung up and dialed the room according to the directions on the phone.
Alex waited patiently for someone to answer. He could still hear the shower running and wondered if Theresa always took that long in the shower. If she was still in there when he was finished on the phone, he was just going to join her in there. As the phone rang some more, the water shut off to Alex's disappointment. Theresa was already drying herself off while Alex was still on the phone.

Scott's voice, sounding tired and bleary, answered finally. "Hello?"

"Hello?" a voice said after short while of constant rings. It was Scott and it sounded like he was trying to sleep in. Immediately, Alex regretted calling but it was too late. He had Scott on the phone already so there was no point in hanging up.
"It's Alex," he said announcing who was calling. There was no way Scott could recognize the voice over the phone. "I didn't mean to wake you. We were just wondering if you wanted to go out for breakfast and catch up a little," Alex finally said. He meant it as a question but it came out as a statement. If they weren't up for it, then there was always later for them to catch up.
We? Alex thought to himself while he waited for a response from his brother. It was no longer just Alex. Now it was Alex and Theresa but were they a couple? It was too soon to figure what exactly they were. Alex wanted to know though. It was going to eat at him all day. He didn't want to let her go yesterday and he got what he wanted. Theresa was staying. Waking up to her next to him had been the best feeling he had ever had. He didn't want to give up the chance to roll over and hold her whenever he wanted.
Theresa was done in the shower and was fixing her hair. He could see her in the doorway listening in on the conversation. Alex could only smile at her. He hoped that Scott could except her after seeing what had happened between Theresa and her cousin. It probably wasn't the first impression Theresa wanted to set but she couldn't take it all back. Alex wouldn't want her to. Her cousin deserved what he got. Hopefully, Scott was feeling better after his tumble in the doorway. Alex made a mental note to himself to remember to ask him about that.
