"Breakfast?" Scott's voice sounded confused. He went silent for a moment, the spoke again, sounding much more confident and awake. "Sure, Alex, that'd be great. Give us about twenty minutes and we'll meet you down in the restaurant."

"Breakfast?" Scott answered. There was a silence afterwards and Alex held back a little bit of laughter. His brother was out of it from just waking up, it was normal. "Sure, Alex, that'd be great. Give us about twenty minutes and we'll meet you down in the restaurant," Scott finally said. It sounded like he just completely snapped out of the confusion of waking up.
"Sounds good," Alex agreed. Twenty minutes was a good amount of time for himself to get ready. Theresa was already done in the shower and Alex won't take long at all.
"We'll see you in a bit," Scott finished before hanging up. Alex did the same then got up to see Theresa in the bathroom. The conversation didn't last long and Theresa was still brushing her hair.
"Hey, beautiful," Alex said to her as he reached around her midsection and stood behind her. The mirror showed the both of them. The image of Theresa was just as beautiful as the real one. The look in her eyes was a little troubling though. She didn't have the same look in her eyes as before.
"I'm going to jump in the shower really quickly. We're meeting them in the restaurant in twenty minutes," Alex informed her. There was still something wrong with her though. Alex could see it. "What's wrong?"

Theresa sighed silently as Alex hung up the phone. Turning back to the mirror, she almost had her hair brushed out. He came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her close. Her body reacted with excitement but her nervousness about seeing his brother and meeting his sister-in-law was getting to her.
"I'm going to jump in the shower really quickly. We're meeting them in the restaurant in twenty minutes. What's wrong?" he asked her in concern.
Leaning her head back against his shoulder, she met his eyes in the mirror and admitted, "I'm nervous, Alex. Everything is still so new ta me and after what yuir brother saw between Tom and I last night, I can only imagine what he must think of me."
Dropping the eye contact, Theresa twisted her body around so that she was facing him. Looking up at him, she continued, "I'll be fine, you go get yuir shower. I'm sure it will all work out just fine." She hated to see him worry like that, especially over her.

Theresa leaned back and looked at Alex through the mirror. She was gorgeous like usual. Her hair was fixed and her clothes accented her curves. Perfection was the only way to describe her. Alex was a lucky man and he wasn't going to deny it or take it for granted.
"I'm nervous, Alex. Everything is still so new ta me and after what yuir brother saw between Tom and I last night, I can only imagine what he must think of me," Theresa confessed. Alex understood the nervousness. He felt the same way. It's been twenty years and he just randomly bumps into his long lost brother. To make that day even better, he met the woman in his arms. That day will always be in his memory as the best day of his life. Theresa turned around and Alex could look at her beautiful eyes without the use of the mirror. "I'll be fine, you go get yuir shower. I'm sure it will all work out just fine," Theresa finished.
"I know you will be," Alex said to her. There was no doubt in his mind that Theresa will have the same effect on his new found family that she had on him. There was no way that Scott and Jean were going to look down on her and if they did, Alex was not going to be too happy with them. "They're going to love you, I know it," Alex said trying to reassure her. In actuality, he didn't know them at all and had no idea how Scott is going to react when he see's her again. It didn't matter though. If Scott wanted to know who his brother was, then he'll have to get to know Theresa, too. Theresa was staying with him and Alex couldn't ask for anything more.
"Okay, I'm going to take a quick shower," Alex said and kissed her lips gently. "Stay out of trouble," Alex said with a smile before turning around and starting the shower. Climbing inside, Alex took a quick shower.

Alex tried to reassure her then he had to get in the shower. "Okay, I'm going to take a quick shower," Alex said and kissed her lips gently. "Stay out of trouble," he told her with a laugh.
Theresa smiled at him. He had no idea just how much trouble she used to get in to as a kid. Instead, she walked into the room and opened up the curtain to let in the winter sunlight. Noticing for the first time that there was a small balcony outside her window and that the window was actually a set of sliding glass doors, Theresa's curiosity got the better of her, as always. Without putting on her cloak, she opened up the doors and pushed the snow over to the side with her hands.
Stepping outside, she realized that her room faced a small courtyard and it was deserted at this time of year, the snow having piled up over the last few snowfalls. Leaning over the railing, she looked as far as she could see. There was something in the snow that caught her attention so to get a better look at it, she stepped up on the balcony, prepared to fly down to the courtyard. Suddenly, someone in another room also walked out onto their balcony and she decided to stay put in case they saw her flying. According to what Tom had said, her ability wouldn't be any more appreciated here then it was in Ireland.

Alex finished with his shower and stepped out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. The sudden rush of cold air startled him. A door was open that led to a balcony. Alex had never noticed it before. Quickly, Alex got into his containment suit and clothes hoping that they would warm him up a little bit. The cold winter breeze rushed inside like it was on a mission to freeze everything in the room including Alex.
After putting on some shoes, Alex approached the balcony to find Theresa looking out towards the street and what looked to be a courtyard. It was interesting to see what Theresa was all about. The winter air didn't seem to bother her in least. Seeing Theresa again brought a smile to Alex's face. He still couldn't get passed how much Theresa was meaning to him after such a brief time with her.
"See anything interesting?" Alex asked. He didn't want to startle her but he was trying to get her attention. The view off the balcony was a distant memory now that Alex's eyes have claimed a more beautiful distraction, Theresa. Ever since meeting her, Alex's thoughts were on her and having her around him.

Snow had started to fall softly and Theresa was watching the white sparkles drift to the ground, realizing that she had probably better climb back down from the railing since it didn't look like her little flight was going to happen when Alex called to her. Turning her head to face him, she smiled but the sudden movement caused her to lose her balance and she slipped, falling forward.
Just below the floor of the balcony, she caught herself with her powers and quickly flew back to the balcony, landing in front of the door. Giving Alex a sheepish grin, she said, "I dinna realize ye were done with yuir shower already. Is it time to go meet yuir brother?"
Theresa had no idea if anyone had seen her but she would just as soon close the door quickly and leave the room, just in case. It had just felt too long since she had been able to fly and she was beginning to miss the freedom that came with it.

When Theresa turned around and smiled back at him, it brought enough warmth to Alex to be able to step out into the cold winter air. Theresa started to tumble making Alex rush over to her. What is she thinking, standing on the ledge like that? Alex wondered. He tried to reach out and grab her but he was too late. He was standing to far away to stop her from falling. Theresa! Alex yelled at himself. He couldn't even voice his concern, he was so shocked that she had fallen.
Where there was once warmth in his heart, there was now dread. Finally, Theresa was able to stay with him and now she might be lost forever simply because he startled her. This was all Alex's fault and he would blame himself for the rest of his life. Looking over the balcony railing, he couldn't find her. He looked everywhere and she wasn't there. Movement caught his eye and when he looked up, Theresa was gliding gently through the air back towards the balcony. She looked like an angel flying without wings. The fear of Theresa's well being was replaced by relief that she was okay but his heart was beating rapidly and his adrenaline was flowing.
"I dinna realize ye were done with yuir shower already. Is it time to go meet yuir brother?" Theresa asked, almost casually, after she landed. Alex's breathing had deepened with the thought of losing her. Not even answering her question he wrapped his arms around her and held her for a few minutes.
"I didn't know you could fly. I thought I lost you," Alex admitted. He was scared for her but he was now relieved that she was safe. Now that her question finally registered in his head, he could start thinking more clearly now. "Yeah, we can leave. I really have to release some energy though," Alex informed her. His pulse started to decrease in speed. "I need to find somewhere hidden soon hopefully before breakfast."

Theresa felt horrible when Alex pulled her into his arms and held onto her like he was afraid of letting her go. She wrapped her arms around him and listened to his heart pound in his chest, reveling in the warmth that his body gave off. When he pulled back and said, "I didn't know you could fly. I thought I lost you," she really felt bad.
Looking up at him, Theresa replied, "It just never came up in conversation. Flying is just a part of my sonic abilities. Tom taught me how to do it even though he can't fly. I'm sorry, Alex."
He seemed to calm down from her little scare and answered the question she had originally asked, "Yeah, we can leave. I really have to release some energy though. I need to find somewhere hidden soon hopefully before breakfast."
Realizing that he hadn't released any energy since the night before at their failed dinner, she let go of him but grabbed his hand and pulled him back in the room. Closing the sliding glass door, said, "Oh my gosh, I completely forgot. I'm sure there's someplace close that ya can use."
Grabbing her cloak and his jacket, she put the key card in her back pocket. Giving Alex a grin, she pushed up on her tiptoes and kissed him one last time before opening the door.
