Hank took a deep breath, after having moved Kes back onto the operating table. He had no idea what had happend, only that her pupils had gone jet black. A sign of her mutation? He wasn't sure, nor was he able to understand what she was screaming about. He did the only thing he could think of, quickly tranqulize her with a heavy sedative, hopefully she would be asleep for a good while.
Standing over her once again, he picked up the probes placing them one by one back on her forehead chest and arms. Her vital signs appeared stable though the activity in her cerbral cortex was above that of what someone would be under the effects of a sedative.
That would have to be monitored carefully.

Ripples of consciousness emitted from her body. With every passing wave the room came into more focus. She hadn’t even opened her eyes yet, but she already had a detailed knowledge of what was around her. If she had opened her eyes they would be back to their normal state, but she had no way of knowing this.
She tried to sit up, but this was a bad idea and she quickly fell back onto the pillow. Her head throbbed insistently and her right should hurt as though she had fallen against it. She tried to remember how she got here, but was only met with a wall of broken images and distant sounds. She stopped trying and searched for something else to think about.
It was only then she realized that she could see the insulation in the walls around her and now beyond it. She desperately fought to bring it back inside the room and succeeded for the most part, but part of it kept on leaking through the door. She wished that Dr MaCoy would get here fast so he could tell her what was going on.
And still she had her eyes closed.

The medical equipment gave a slight beep, rousing Hank from his much missed sleep. He blinked clearing the slight blurriness from his vision.
Standing up he approached the monitor, glancing at its readouts, he could tell Kes was coming around. He smiled to himself once he realized she was okay.
"Kesker can you hear me?"

"Kesker can you hear me?"
A voice drifted over to her ears along with the gentle beep of a monitor and the various humming’s of a computer. She murmured a positive response, but didn’t trust herself enough to open her eyes yet. She was aware of Hank’s form somewhere to her left and for now that was enough. Her mouth felt so dry. She had to say something though or else it would remain that way.
“Could I have some water?”<br> She croaked out a whisper then regretted it as the dryness had now spread to her throat. She was still trying hard to keep her ESP in the room, but it was becoming increasingly difficult. It was as though her ESP was a piece of elastic that had been stretched too far and wouldn’t go back to its original state anymore. She really needed a tailor.

“Could I have some water?”
Hank reached for a cup from the space above her bed, in moments he had it filled with room tempature water to prevent her from being shocked by any extreme tempatures. He reached to feel her head and was suprised to find it cool to the touch. At least she didn't have a fever, but what of the inccident that occured? Disorentation, hallucinations, and vivid recollections of some kind. Hank would have to look further into, but he thought Xavier better to deal with this; since the mind was his particular area of expertiese.
"Just take it slow, we dont want you retarding back into your previous state again.", though he spoke the words he knew her drinking water slowly had nothing to do with her condition or reverting back to it, however he sought to simply ease her mental state.

The water brought some well needed relief to her parched throat.
“Thankyou.”
Her head gave a dull throb, but she guessed Hank couldn’t do anything about it. She tenderly brought her hand up to rub her shoulder. She found a nice large bruise developing.
Hank shifted on his feet, but then moments later he did it again exactly the same. For a while there were two Hanks, one looking like a ghost of the other, but then they both merged into one again. This happened every time he moved. It was very distracting, but didn’t hurt anymore.
“Something’s wrong. I can see two of you.”
Before she had never been able to snatch a glimpse of what a full future echo looked like, but now she had a pretty good idea.
“I think…I think I can see more into the future.”

((continued from Rec Room))
Sean thankfully had no trouble lifting Joseph with Elisabeth's help. They made there way in quickly, and with out tripping over their own two feet. They made it to a bed,
"All right now, on my count 1. 2 3." Joseph was smoothly transfered to said bed. Sean went to work on finding the proper equipment. Wishing he knew this place better, he scuttled around,
"I need an oxygen mask, and a monitor . ." He glanced around, instincts on high alert. Finding a mask, he plugged it in and started filling the small bag, so that Joseph didn't choke on it. Pumping the air up to the standard fifteen, he carefully placed the mask on the unconscious man's face.
"Do ye know where the doc keeps the leads for the monitor." Sean was in motion and while not barking or ordering, was confident in his ability to provide basic field aid. He found a pulse ox, and put it on a finger.
"By the way, that uniform suits ye verra well, Elisabeth. It is most attractive."

As they lifted Joseph onto the table, a security bracelet fell from his shirt pocket. It clattered on the table, its light flashing as if it were still on the person who was supposed to be wearing it.
After a few moments of oxygen, Joseph's color began improving. His breathing evened out and his heart rate slowed back to a more normal pace. Slowly, he began to stir, still drowsy. His slate blue eyes opened blearily. He moaned and tried to bring one hand to his aching head. He could taste blood in his mouth and feel the pain in his cheek. It wasn't helping the nausea he was feeling. Neither was the smell or taste of the air flowing through the oxygen mask. He coughed once, weakly, gagging, but managing to keep his breakfast down for now.
Joseph's eyes darted around the room. He vaguely recognized the mansion's infirmary. Sean, the man he'd just met was standing over him, as well as Elisabeth. He wondered why she was here. Or he was for that matter. He reached for the oxygen mask covering his face to remove it. It was making him want to gag and cough and made his eyes burn. Besides, it was dificult to speak through and he needed to know what had happened.
"What happened?" he managed to croak.

After Joseph was placed on the table, Betsy saw the bracelet fall out of Joseph's pocket and she quickly picked it up. Glancing down at Joseph with a raised eyebrow, she didn't mention the bracelet to Sean, placing it in the sash on her uniform. There would be time for questions later.
Betsy let Sean take charge over the first aid and handed him supplies when asked. She kept her mental watch on Joseph and had broken off her link with Sean. As Betsy turned to retrieve something else, she heard him say, "By the way, that uniform suits ye verra well, Elisabeth. It is most attractive."
Betsy paused where she was, having forgotten about the uniform as it was fairly standard for her but a very uncharacteristic blush crept up on her cheeks at Sean's comment. Glancing back briefly, she gave him a grin and said, “Thank you.” Then she continued with what she was doing.
By the time she got back to Joseph's side, her composure was back to normal and Betsy could feel his mind starting to process more information. Gently breaking off the link she had established, Betsy watched as his eyes fluttered open in confusion.
"What happened?" Joseph managed to croak out after removing the oxygen mask.
Since she had seen exactly what happened in Sean's memory, Betsy replied, “I was sort of hoping you could tell us that, Joseph. The best that I can tell, you had a seizure of sorts and it looked pretty intense. Sean screamed for help and since I had just opened the Danger Room door, I heard him and came. We brought you here and Sean helped bring you back to us.”
Betsy looked up at Sean after answering Joseph's question to see if he wanted to add anything more.

Sean grinned impishly as he saw Elisabeth redden. The he turned his attention back to his "patient". After all that, Joseph woke up and took off the mask. Sean didn't bother trying to put it back on, his color was better and his saturation was up to 99%.
He let Elisabeth explain what had happened and when she had finished, he gave his own two cents worth.
"Ye gave me quiet a fright, Joseph. Do ye have a history of seizures?" While he let Joseph think on that, he got him a small glass of water,
"Only small sips, don't want ye to get sick, now. I'm no doctor, but I think ye should rest here for a while, get yuir strength up. And nothing to strenous today."
He looked at Elisabeth, who was waiting for him to finish what he was saying. He pointed at his head and thought,
Sorry if I sounded snappish earlier, I was concerned with Joseph. Are we still going into town today? I cleared off the lake before eating an actual breakfast.
He gave her his best puppy dog eyes, pleading with them. And while they did not reach the huge porportions of Puss, from Shrek 2, they were pretty big.

Joseph was still feeling nauseous and groggy as he sat up carefully to sip the cup of water Sean had given him. He took a small drink, then looked first at Elisabeth. "I have no idea what happened," he admitted blearily. "One moment, Sean and I were speaking, the next thing I woke up here." His white brows furrowed. "A seizure, you say..."
Then Sean interjected with his instructions to rest. Right now, he had no objections to that. Merely sitting up and drinking water slowly from a cup were taxing activities right now. He wasn't planning on going anywhere until his head became clearer. "Forgive me for startling you," he murmured to Banshee. "And truthfully, I do not know if I do have a history of anything. I can only recall the last three years of my life. And from what I learned from the extensive testing done on me in Israel, I may only have existed for a few years."
Joseph could not stop from rambling, his mind was not alert enough to censor anything he was saying. If he were repeating himself or telling too much, there was nothing he could do about it now. "I am a genetic copy of Erik Lensherr. I possess all of his powers and his intellect, merely in a younger body." He winced a bit and reached up with his free hand to rub his throbbing forehead. "I must assume I also possess any physiological frailties he might have. Perhaps he suffers from this problem?"
He deciding laying back down would probably be wise, as all he really wanted to do was go to sleep right now. "Thank you both for all your aid," he said quietly as he laid back, setting the cup of water aside.
Suddenly, he remembered the security bracelet. He reached up, clapping his hand over the pocket he was keeping it in. It was gone. That is not good, he thought absently. Rogue needs that. He started to sit up, checking all pockets for the bracelet. "Now where did it go?" he mumbled, still too confused to censor his words. "Rogue will toss me in another snowdrift if I've lost it.."

Betsy listened to Sean give Joseph instructions then noticed Sean point to his head. Quickly opening up a connection to his mind, she heard, <Sorry if I sounded snappish earlier, I was concerned with Joseph. Are we still going into town today? I cleared off the lake before eating an actual breakfast.>
Nodding just slightly, Betsy replied, <Yes, later. There are some things around here I need to take care of first.>
When Joseph started answering their questions, she turned her attention back to him. She had accidentally stumbled across some of his thoughts regarding the whole deal with being a clone of Magneto's. “I'm not sure if Magneto has dealt with something similar. I suppose if anyone would know, it would be Charles. I'll see what I can find out,” she replied. Betsy doubted he'd be reassured but it was all she could do at the moment.
The rest of his ramblings took on a whole new interest for Betsy as he began to search for the bracelet that had fallen out of his pocket. "Rogue will toss me in another snowdrift if I've lost it, he said absentmindedly.
Reaching into the sash on her uniform, Betsy pulled out the bracelet she had retrieved. Holding it up for him to see, she replied with a raised eyebrow, “I should throw you both in a snowdrift for this stunt. I was wondering how she managed to get away from the mansion yesterday without causing a panic.”

Sean grinned, at least after last night, she wasn't avoiding him. He gave her a brief nod and turned to Joseph,
"Yuir welcome, now get some rest."
Sean watched Elisabeth pull out a metal bracelet.
"I should throw you both in a snowdrift for this stunt. . "
Sean gave Elisabeth an arched eyebrow, puzzlement plain on his face.
"OK, right, not asking." he said, somewhat bemused by this interesting turn of events.

Joseph felt more relief than anything else when he saw that Elisabeth had the security bracelet. Her tone was less than amused. “I should throw you both in a snowdrift for this stunt. I was wondering how she managed to get away from the mansion yesterday without causing a panic.”
He forced himself to sit back up, glad the bracelet was functioning the way he repaired it to. "But she told me what happened with the green ghost creature and LeBeau and Magneto, why she was forced to wear it," he explained, delirium still getting the best of him. "She feels trapped in the mansion, like a bird in a gilded cage. She deserves a little freedom. Besides, after speaking with Ash, hearing how the prisoners were tortured, how can I believe what she did was entirely wrong? No one deserves to be locked up for just being who they are. If that was true, then I should be locked up right now, because by genetics alone, I will become the greatest mutant terrorist on Earth."
Talking and sitting at the same time was making him dizzy, so he laid back down. "She asked me to give her a few hours of freedom Elisabeth," he murmured. "After all she has given me, shown me, it was a small thing to do. Rogue is my only friend in this world. Everyone else hates me because they think I am Magneto, or that someday, I turn out to be just as much of threat to mankind as he is. She is the only person who trusts me, and I would do anything she asked of me."
Joseph closed his eyes, rubbing his aching forehead. All he really wanted to do right now was sleep.
