There were several times during Joesph's long speech about Rogue's rights and wrongs that Betsy wanted to interrupt but she didn't. However, the longer he got into the speech, the more she smiled. He had no idea on just how many things she completely agreed with him.
Finally, he laid back on the bed, exhausted from his delirium induced monologue. Betsy put a hand on his cheek and said, “Shhh, that's enough. I happen to agree with most of what you said. It was unfortunate that she was the one who had to take the blame and I was there at the PMCF, I know exactly what was going on in that place. The two of you are just lucky it was I who found the bracelet and not one of my more 'moral' teammates. Now, don't worry about the bracelet. I'll hold on to it and make sure it keeps moving while you sleep. When you are feeling better, I'll give it back.” She may not have his electronics intelligence but even she knew that was part of why Joseph kept it in his shirt pocket.
Looking up at Sean, she mentally said, < Come on, I have to shut the Danger Room down. > Lowering the lights in the med lab, Betsy exited the room.

Sean looked at Joseph and Elisabeth, totally lost. He just sighed, confused, hoping someone would fill him in. When no one did, he waited for Elisabeth to finish talking to Joseph. When he heard her voice in his head, he thought back
"Just let me get Joseph settled in and I'll be right there."
Sean saw Elisabeth leave and lowered the head of the bed, for Joseph's comfort.
"Now, lad, get some rest, I or the doctor, wherever he is will check on ye later." He dimmed the lights, and exited.

Joseph lay back, listening to Psylocke and Banshee's reassurances. He was a bit surprised that neither of them wished to berate him for helping Rogue bypass her security bracelet but he was hardly going to complain. Right now, Elisabeth's suggestion of sleep sounded like the best one he had heard all day. His head still ached and his stomach felt queasy.
He wondered absently if Rogue would be worried about him when she found out about his seizure. Well, he knew she would be concerned, but he doubted anymore than she would be for any friend. He sighed heavily and reached up to rub his throbbing temples again. He needed to rest, get his head to clear, as he had things to do. Namely, put the security bracelet back on Rogue when she returned home and finish reconstructing her gift. He also wanted to speak with Ash. He hoped to show her that being a mutant could be a gift, not a curse as she viewed it.
These thoughts all collided in his mind as he drifted off to sleep. For now, rest was the only thing he would accomplish.

Hank had fallen asleep in his lab once again, it was the fourth time this week that had happened. A sense of forebode came over him as he tried to ascertain, why he wasn't feeling like being around people. He remembered going through this in his earlier years desperate to find a cure for his mutation, anything to make him normal. Hank had locked himself into a lab, spending all his time focused on what it would take to cure him. It was different now, much different. He had friends, a home and a strong sense of family. So what was it that was driving him to hide away once again? He didn't know, though he was desperate to find out.
The noise next door, revealed that others where now in the med lab, hopefully Kes had a chance to sleep soundly through the night. His studies of her where far from done, but it was clear that this young woman, may have increased in her abilities, but could she handle them? Only Xavier would know what to do in this case. The psyche wasn't Hanks specialty, nor did he wish for it to be. He had a hard enough time with his own.

Joseph awoke awhile after Betsy and Sean left, feeling a bit better. He wondered what had come over him. He'd never had a seizure before. It seemed odd he would have one now. He sat up, still feeling a bit weak and tired, but not nearly so bad as when he had first been brought down here.
He wondered where the X-Men's resident blue furry doctor was. He was surprised he had not come to look in on him. Perhaps the good doctor was still sleeping. He didn't wish to leave the infirmary without making certain Beast did not wish to take blood samples or examine him.
"Dr. McCoy?" he called of hesitantly, not wishing to disturb anyone else who might be recuperating in the infirmary. "Are you here?"

Sean came downstairs sandwich in hand, to find his patient awake and looking much better. He smiled, please to see no ill after effects from the seizure, if that was what it had been.
"Hey Joseph, I brought ye a sandwich." He gave him the sandwich with the bracelet underneath, hiding it from view. Not that he could see anyone, but caution was a good thing.
"If you're feeling better, ye could probably go upstairs, and relax. Watch tv or some thing. Like I said before, nothng strenous."

Joseph looked over as Banshee entered the room. He smiled softly as the Irishman offered him a sandwich, Rogue's security bracelet hidden beneath it. He covertly slipped it into his pocket, and nodded to Sean. "Thank you," he replied. "I will perhaps eat it a bit later, my stomach is still a bit queasy."
He stood up slowly from the table, nodding again at Banshee's suggestion of taking it easy, perhaps going upstairs and watching television. Maybe he would go read a book or even take a short walk outside. "That sounds like a good idea Sean," he agreed. "I am sorry if I alarmed you earlier. That has never happened before. Perhaps it was merely a singular incident, brought on by stress and extensive use of my powers. It have been using them a bit more than usual in the past few days. The flight from Israel took more out of me than I might have expected."

Sean smiled at Joseph, looked like he might have made another friend in the mansion. This place could definately be home. He realized that his delivery should be there soon.
"Just make sure you do eat eventually, you won't be happy if ye make yuirself ill. I won't be happy either. I'll see ye around, but I am expecting a recliner in a bit, so I'll be upstairs."
He heard the gate bell ring and realized that his delivery might be here already. "Tha's probably me chair, I'll be seeing ye." He left to go get his recliner so he could assemble it.

Joseph nodded as Sean left, staring at the sandwich. He really wanted to work on Rogue's present, but he knew he should probably follow the advice he'd been given and rest for now. When he was feeling better, he could work on it. He still had a couple of more days until Christmas.
He got slowly up off the bed and headed out the door. He would go up to the recreation room and watch some television or perhaps read a book. That should be restful enough. Perhaps he could find some to play chess with him. He had a chess board in his room he had made himself. He'd stop by his room long enough to retrieve it. Perhaps Sean or Elisabeth would be up for a game.

Logan had wondered down to the infirmary after having recieved the strange message from the professor. It wasn't like Xavier to be all mysterious. Logan hated mysteries, since his own life was already full of them, plus suspense was never his "thing".
"Yo' Hank? You down here?"
Shambling through various contraptions laying around the research area of the med lab, Logan found Hank, his face buried in his large hands. A soft almost muffled sobbing came from Hanks direction.
"Hank? You alright buddy?"

"Hank? You alright buddy?"
Henry had barely heard Logan enter the room, it was the moving of the equipment that caught Hanks ears. He quickly attempted to dry his face in the recesses of his palms, but he already knew Logan had seen him.
"Ah, Logan my surreptitious friend. It is good to see you. What can I do for you?", feeling his face was sufficiently presentable Hank turned to now face Logan.
Logan made a strange sound under his breath, almost like a sigh, "I don't have 't need sumthin', just to come down and talk to ya. I noticed ya haven't been around lately. Just wanted 't make sure you were hanging in there."
Beast remained quite for a bit, he had always gotten along with Logan, though they were never really close friends. Perhaps it was time to change that.
"I appreciate your heedfulness, as well as your camaraderie Logan. I am quite fine I assure you. Have you heard from the Professor yet?", Hank put his glasses on now allowing them to rest snuggly against his face.
Logan snorted, "Thats just it Beast, I have h'rd from em. Problem is I got this feeling."
Hank allowed a look of concern to cross his face replacing his normal cordial smile. "What do you mean?"
Logan continued, barely able to contain his emotions, "I dn't know, sumthin' don't smell right. Sumthin's wrong I can feel it." Wolverine's faced clenched up as he instinctively pulled his fingers into his palms readying to dispense his claws."
Henry barely moved an inch, as he wasn't surprised with Logans instinct taking over. "Hmm, I've learned to trust you implicitly in the past, doing so now would seem even more prudent, and as Mercutio once said: A friend in need is often needed by his friends"
"Thanks Hank. I think."

Kes had become aware of the movement in the next room and it wasn’t hard for her to see through the wall. She recognized Psylocke, but the other two men were new to her. She began to wonder how long she had spent down here.
She searched around for Beast and quickly found hunched over in the corner of another room. Shortly Logan came in bringing a small smile to her face. Normally when she attempted something like this her energy would quickly run out, but she found she could sustain her sight like this without any problems.
Her hearing didn’t take long to adjust to where she was looking, but it wasn’t strong enough to hear what they were saying. It was rude to eavesdrop anyway. Hank did look a bit distressed though. It didn’t take her long to decide to go and say hello.
Swinging her legs over the side of the bed she took a few tentative steps and found her balance to be intact. She was still attached to a drip so using it to keep her steady she slowly made her way towards the other room. She also discovered that if she didn’t try to hold her ESP back it was much quieter in her head.
She ventured out into the corridor already fully aware that there was no one there and knocked lightly on the door to the next room.

Betsy didn't hurry through the halls, she just walked casually. She knew if there was a real thread in Washington she would have heard about it by now but she still wanted to double check with Logan. Besides, she hadn't seen her best friend for much at a time in a long while so she knew it was more an excuse then anything.
Coming down the hall, she saw little Kes standing outside the door. Knowing the girl would sense her as she approached, Betsy reached by her and opened the door. Putting a hand on Kes' shoulder, she said, "Come on, luv, you don't need to be standing out here waiting for an invitation."
Walking in, Betsy saw Hank and Logan, just as she had sensed. Looking to Hank first, she said, "How's my favorite fuzzy blue doctor? I think I found a visitor for you standing outside."
Then she looked to Logan. He was radiating stress like it was going out of style. He must know something or else he wouldn't be so worked up. Walking over to him and playfully wrapping her arm around his, she said, "Come on, we need to talk and Hank needs to work."

"How's my favorite fuzzy blue doctor? I think I found a visitor for you standing outside."
Hank smiled as he always enjoyed the insipid amusements of Psylocke, as well as her up beat sense of satire which had apparently become more "up beat" of late. Hank decided he would have to explore that mystery with her, in more detail when the chance presented itself.
"Why I am quite flabergasted, by the visit of a beautiful woman and now I am suddenly, visited by two, perhaps my luck is being blessed by Aphrodite herself!", Hank said as he bowed. "Though I am puzzled by one thing: What on earth are you hanging around me for? Surely you have more pressing matters to attend to?", Beast allowed himself to smile a large ferine toothy grin.
"Ahh your up and about Kes? how do we feel today?"

"Ahh you’re up and about Kes? How do we feel today?"
Kes paused for a moment and tilted her head as though she was listening for something. In reality she was quite sure she could sense people moving around upstairs, which would be a first for her when she was down in the sub-basements. She knew if she concentrated a little bit harder she would be able to see upstairs, but decided not to push it just yet. She shook her head slightly and focused on Hank.
“Much better actually. I find if I don’t try and stop my, er, my ESP it doesn’t hurt.”
She gazed at him and smiled a little. From her view it looked as though he had a blue aura surrounding him, but his features were blurred somewhat.
“Also, you know how I could see, erm, future echoes? Well they’ve extended themselves. I mean…they used to be really short, but now they’re like, like ten times longer. It’s hard to explain.”
She twisted the hem of her sleeve between her fingers and looked down to her feet. Her ESP may have grown, but her confidence certainly hadn’t.
