This is the main planning area of the mansion. One wall is covered entirely with computers, and a large flat holographic table sits in the middle of the room, encircled with enough chairs for the entire team to sit, although often times many people choose to stand instead. There is an extensive archive of past battles here as well as a kiosk for team members to review their own individual stats as collected in battle.

Logan poured over the various information files left by Xavier, but so far it revealed nothing more then what Wolverine already knew.
Finding a copy of a voice message from Charles, Logan clicked play.
War Room Journal, #22341
Login: Charles Xavier
"It appears that the issue with MRA has become quite serious, if not stopped we X-men as well as all mutants could be lose then very thing that we hold most precious. Freedom.
In that regard, I fear that dire consequences may come from any action that is made by either side toward this end. Therefore, I have taken upon myself to contact Magneto and the White Queen via email. Though most in my team would find this appalling, I know deep down inside that it is the only way. I pray that mercy would be granted on us who embark on this journey..."[/b][/i]
Logan couldn't handle any more, "Magneto? White Queen? Chuck have you flipped your ever-loving lid??"

Betsy was leaning back in her chair with her feet crossed on the table in front of her, a pose she never would have assumed if Charles or Scott had been around, and was flipping through more information that Charles had left for them. Most of it was newsfeeds from various broadcasts and nothing new to her.
She felt the spike in Logan's emotions before he actually spoke and she pulled herself up from her comfy little position and walked over to where he was sitting. Leaning over him to read what he had read, she softly said, "What the bloody hell is he thinking?"
Straightening back up, she leaned against the table and looked at Logan. "Why did he try to lighten this situation by only calling in Jean and Scott when he is making alliances like this? Either Charles has finally lost his mind or he is hiding something much more significant then we are going to find in these files. I think it's time to call the others in on this and make a trip to Washington."
Betsy hated sitting still when there was something that she could be doing and Washington certainly fit the bill of "doing". Without waiting for Logan's approval, she mentally called the senior X-Men to the War Room. They didn't all need to go but they all needed to be aware of what was going on. After only a moment's hesitation, she included both Joseph and Sean in the summons. They had, after all, decided to join the team, may as well make them useful.
<There is a situation that needs to be discussed regarding Washington. Meet in the War Room immediately.>

She landed softly inside the door, glat to be able to fly without the added weight of the anklet. Striding over to the table, she raised an eyebrow at Betsy. "What is this, your living room?"
She smiled. She coudn't care less if Betsy had decided to take a nap on the table. Noticing the looks of seriousness on their faces, she frowned. "What's this all about?" Her eyes trailed to the table, and the documents on it. The transcripts of a few news shows, some legal documents... all about the registration act, and all things that she'd seen before. "What's going on down there?"

((Continued from Rec Room))
Sean walked in the war room, to find Elisaeth, Logan and Rogue all ready there. He walked over to sit next to Elisabeth. He looked at the articles and other notes. They all seemed to have something to do with the Mutant Registration Act, which he'd heard about on the news. The thought of this act being passed, gave him the creeps. He started to think of the reprecussions of this act, and then halted his train of thought. Whatever was going on, he needed to focus on the task at hand. He turned to Elisabeth,
"So, what exactly is going on?"

[[ Continue from Joseph's Room ]]
Joseph walked into the War Room, noting that not only Elisabeth was present, but also Sean, Rogue and Logan. He steeled himself for some conflict. Wolverine had not been fond of him when he had been here before, but then, he had been believed to be Magneto then. Somehow, he doubted the revelation he was in fact not their greatest nemesis would probably not improve Logan's opinion of him.
He noticed the papers lying all over the table. He instinctively moved to Rogue's side and glanced at the papers on the table. They all seemed to pertain to the Mutant Registration Act that was up for vote in Congress. He frowned, looking to Psylocke, but didn't say anything. Sean had already offered up the question they were all wondering. What was going on?

Logan contemplated what to do next, but as usual Betsy took the lead, deep down inside he was glad.
"Okay gang, looks like we are assembling a strike team. For what, I don't know. Everything will be explained on th..." Logan noticed Joseph entering the room, Wolverine's eyes narrowed at the same time he gave a feral snarl in his direction. "Whats he doing here... Bets, you better explain this to me really quick.. Or else I'm gonna hurt em!" Logan growled as he instinctively flexed his wrists.
Betrayal seem to be all around him; Charles, Rogue, & now Psylocke. Logan was doing everything he could to maintain his cool, but it wasn't working. Right now gutting Joseph, would be the most fun he had had in a while, but he couldn't let his base nature takeover, not now,not while the situation was so desperate.

"Whats he doing here... Bets, you better explain this to me really quick.. Or else I'm gonna hurt em!" Logan growled at her while he trained his eyes on Joseph.
Moving faster then should be humanly possible, Betsy was out of her chair and standing in front of Logan. Her eyes trained on his to keep him from trying to block her out, she reached out to his mind and said, <Do you really think I would let Magneto in here? He's in Washington, remember? Earlier, I had to enter Joseph's mind for a reason and this is what I saw.> As she "talked", Betsy showed him the memories she had accidentally stumbled across. His time in Israel, finding out that he was not the real Magneto but a clone.
<As you can see, this is not Magneto, Logan. He has all of Erik's cunning and powers but none of the vengeance and hate. You go after him for no bloody reason and you are going to have to deal with the rest of us here,> she finished telepathically.
Backing away, she turned to the rest of the group gathered and said, "We have reason to believe that something more is happening in Washington and both Logan and I feel it would be best to investigate it further. There are too many inconsistencies between some information given to us and what Charles has said. Not only that, but Charles seems to be making some 'unholy' alliances that are disturbing. Namely the White Queen and Magneto."
Looking at each of them, she continued, "A small group of us will be taking the Blackbird to Washington. The rest of you need to stay here and protect the mansion. Something about that invasion a few months ago is screaming at my instincts and it has nothing to do with what I saw in that monster's mind. The events may be connected. Having said that, Logan, Hank, Sean and I will travel to Washington. Rogue, you, Shadowcat and Gambit stay here and protect the students."
Turning to Joseph, she added, "I would like you to stay here for a couple of reason. First of all, you are in no condition to face what may happen in Washington. You have overextended your powers already. Also, if there is an attack here, your powers would be most helpful. The students are a priority. Finally, there is no reason for you to face Erik at this time."
Betsy knew she was being blunt but she wasn't exactly known for covering up what needed to be said with sugary words. Looking each of her teammates in the eyes, she asked, "Does anyone have any questions?"

Remy walked in just in time to catch the tail end of the briefing. "Glad y' waited for me." The comment wasn't so much directed at Betsy as it was at Rogue and Joseph, who were situated a bit too close for his comfort. Moving to a corner of the room, he frowned as she continued speaking. As she went down the list of people staying and going, he raised an eyebrow. "Callisto is staying too?"
That would make this a perfect vacation. Joseph and Callisto. If the mansion was still standing when the others came back, he'd be surprised. If he wasn't dead.

At Logan's threat to gut Joseph, she stepped a little bit closer to him. He wasn't well, and even though he could normally just dangle Wolverine in the air like a rag doll, the chances of him being able to do so were quite slim in his situation. Looking Wolverine dead in the eyes she clenched her jaw. "You'd have to do it over my dead body, Logan."
Luckily, Betsy moved to stand in front of the Canadian and probably talked him down telepathically. Once the issue was resolved, she stepped clear and listened. Gambit's comments were not lost to her, and they stung but she refused to let on. If he didn't think that she could be trusted... well, the good old cracks in the foundation of their relationship were back. But there were bigger things than the two of them at stake if the bills passed. And given the fact that Charles had taken up with Magneto and the White Queen, there was a good chance that things were even worse off than before.

Sean watched the scene unfold before him, and was on his feet, ready for the trouble. Elisabeth and Rogue stepped in, and defused the situation, so he remained in his place. The news that Charles, his new boss, was allying himself with Magneto, was very disturbing to him. From the expressions on everyone's face, this White Queen person was not someone they wished to be on a team with either. He shook his head, 'What have I gotten myself into?' After the situation had settled, he spoke up,
"I think finding a spare uniform might be a good idea, unless ye think I should wear me old NYPD one." He chuckled. This should be interesting, ta say the least.

Joseph didn't even flinch at Logan's threat. Headache or not, Wolverine was a toy in the hands of his magnetic powers if he so desired. Blue energy flashed around Joseph's eyes, although right now, that was about all he could without making his headache worse. Rogue and Elisabeth stepped between them. Psylocke fell silent, her eyes locking on Logan's, likely having a psychic conversation, while Rogue openly stated he would have to go through her first. He couldn't help but cheered by this a bit. She still cared about him. He would have to thank both of them later for saving him from another headache.
Gambit chose to arrive during this. "Glad y' waited for me," he commented, the words more directed at himself and Rogue than anyone else. Joseph just ignored him. If LeBeau wanted to read too much into things and make a fool of himself, all the more power to him. His lack of trust would was bound to upset Rogue.
Psylocke got down to issuing orders. She, Logan, Sean and Dr. McCoy were going to Washington. Gambit, Rogue, and the young woman called Shadowcat would stay here to guard over the students. Then Elisabeth turned to him. "I would like you to stay here for a couple of reason. First of all, you are in no condition to face what may happen in Washington. You have overextended your powers already. Also, if there is an attack here, your powers would be most helpful. The students are a priority. Finally, there is no reason for you to face Erik at this time."
Joseph offered no argument. As much as he would have liked to help and face down Magneto, it was not the time nor the place. And as she said, his powers would be very useful in protecting the students. Besides, in his condition, he could be more of a hindrance than any help. "Of course," he agreed.
Gambit was obviously less than thrilled at the prospects of him staying. "Callisto is staying too?" he demanded, growing more agitated by the moment.
Joseph could not help but comment. "Such a charming woman," he said quietly. "She accused me of being Magneto, then threatened to kill me. Unfortunately, her brief trip out the window and into a snowdrift did not seem to cool her temper any. She's in the Danger Room, with Storm. She said something about killing one of us. I wonder who she chose?" Yes, it was petty and low, but Joseph was tired of being expected to take all the hostility directed at him without reacting.

Kitty hurried into the room. She had gotten a little sidetracked by one of the students but hurried on. "Sorry, got sidetracked. Where are we?" The tension seemed to be high in the room. She assumed that Logan's angry looks toward Joseph were the reason. Rogue looked ticked and Gambit just a little... well, Gambit was fine. She sighed and took a seat. "Can I get the quicky?"

His anger rose as Rogue made no motion to move away from Joseph, despite the fact that the threat had been taken care of. He pulled out a deck of cards and shuffled them repeatedly, hoping that having something to do with his hands would keep him from attacking his teammate. Teammate. The word didn't even sound right when associated with Joseph. Turning to Sean, he frowned. "I t'ink we got some plain uniforms in de lockerroom. Joseph c'n show you where dey are."
Anything to get the other man out of the room before he did something he regretted later.

Once again Psylocke had proven her ability in being the better combatant. Logan felt froze in place as she assaulted his mind enough to get his attention. Wolverine knew she was right, but that didn't help curb the hatred that he was still dealing with.
Standing up from his seat he moved toward Joseph in a threatening manner, then quickly shifted his stance to redirect his destination. Snarling he popped his right claw, and slammed into the wall console, without a moments hesitation he grimaced "Somone ought to get that fixed..", his anger appeased Logan retracted his claws. "I'll grab Hank, so we can prep the Blackbird for launch."
With that Logan exited the room, mumbling to himself about clones and Magneto wannabe's.
