Betsy leaned in and returned Sean's kiss. He tasted as good as he smelled and she resisted the urge to open her door and whisk him inside. Breaking off the kiss before she stopped resisting, Betsy opened her eyes and said, “Right. 5:30. Before any rational human being should be awake.” Gently touching his cheek with her fingertips, she added, “I'll be ready.”
Betsy then turned to open her door, pausing once she was inside to turn back and watch him walk away. Then she closed her door and began to change out of her snow damp clothes.

Sean knocked lightly on Elisabeth's door, hoping she was awake. He grinned in anticipation of her reaction to his surprise. I hope she likes bagels, I did nae ask. Aw well, too late now.

Betsy cursed at the alarm when it went off at five. There was no way she should be up this early. Flipping over on her back, she reached out with her mind to make sure the shower was empty, not that she expected anything different at this ungodly hour, then rolled out of bed and threw her silky black robe on.
Ten minutes later, she was back in her room, hair in a towel and rummaging through her closet. Pulling out a pair of black jeans and a dark purple sweater, she dressed quickly. A pair of short black boots finished her outfit and she went to work drying her hair so she wouldn't freeze. Finally getting it completely dry, she sensed Sean just before he knocked. Since she wasn't quite ready yet, she mentally called out, < It's open, > then turned her attention back to the mirror in front of her to brush her long hair out.

Sean heard Elisabeth's voice telling him to come in, so he opened the door and walked in. She was brushing her long hair with her back to him. Even at this early hour, she looked gorgeous. He set down the basket and the blankets on her bed for a moment. He walked up behind her,
"For someone who's nae a morning person, ye look wonderful."

Betsy didn't turn until he spoke to her. Looking up from her chair, she laughed and said, “This had better be worth it. My alarm clock almost didn't survive the shock of going off at 5am.”
Her hair finally brushed through, she considered pulling it back in a braid then decided against it. It would be warmer down. Standing up, she pushed her chair into the vanity then turned to face Sean. Giving him a quick kiss good morning, she glanced over at the basket and blankets on the bed and raised an eye brow. Not saying anything about it, Betsy walked to her closet and pulled out a gray wool coat that came down to her thighs. Not quite as warm as her black one, it would have to do since the black one was most likely still damp.
Slipping the coat on, she said, “All right. I'm ready whenever you are.”

Sean looked at Elisabeth, amusement showing in his eyes. "Trust me, this will be worth it."
He grabbed the basket and tucked the blankets under one arm. He walked over to the window and opened it.
Coming back over to her, he gently picked her up and flew out the window.

Sean hovered over Elisabeth's bed for a minute, taking the time to kiss her slowly and deeply. This was a true test of his powers, being able to kiss her and stay in the air. He eased them onto the bed, not stopping for air, until his lungs screamed for release.
Then he moved on to her neck, taking time to feel her shiver under his gentle caressing kisses. This truly was paradise.

Any doubts Betsy had vanished as soon as he set them down on the bed and continued kissing her. If there were going to be repercussions because they work together, they would have to be ironed out later. Right now, Sean had completely succeeded in taking away her personal “restraints”. If she didn't know any better, Betsy would have sworn he had just seduced her. Coats and boots were quickly discarded and as Sean began to kiss her neck, Betsy reached up and began to remove his shirt.
Some time later, under her thick comforter, Betsy nuzzled her face into his chest, ready to catch up on the sleep that she had missed earlier. Her arms were still wrapped around his waist and she didn't want to move for anything. She had completely lost track of time and hoped that no one would decide to come looking for her.

Sean felt Elisabeth's arms wrapped around him and sighed contentedly. He could lay like this for hours, and not need to do a blessed thing. The apocalypse could come, and he didn't know if he cared. Well, he'd care, but he'd just have to feel real bad later.
Sean wrapped his arms around Elisabeth, and kissed her gently on the forehead. Then he closed his eyes, ready for a nice peaceful nap.

Betsy woke up with the familiar feeling of being in someone's arms but as she opened her eyes, the reality of what she had done hit her. She wasn't at someone else's place like usual, she was in her own room. At the mansion. In the arms of a teammate.
Holding back a groan, Betsy slipped expertly out of his arms, careful not to disturb Sean. Mentally masking her presence in the room, she quickly dressed in the clothes she had been wearing. There was only one way to clear her head. Glancing over at the blissfully sleeping Irishman, she softly whispered, “I'm sorry,” then left her room.

Sean woke up alone, and somewhat disoriented. This wasn't his room. In fact, this was Elisabeth's room, and she was not here. What should I do now, I think I should go shovel off that ice rink. Whatever I do, got to play it cool. He dressed quickly and headed downstairs, looking for a shovel.

Betsy dumped all the bags on her bed and began to sift through them. Some of the things bought were for her and some were for other people. Putting the things away that were hers, she pulled out the skates she had bought for Sean and smiled. It hadn't been hard to find hockey skates, especially in the winter in New York. Putting them by the door, she finished sorting her things and put the presents in her closet.
Reaching out with her mind, she found Sean close by in his room. <Sean, I'm back with your skates,> she told him mentally. Realizing what a mess she had left her room in, she straightened up while she waited for him to respond.

Sean walked over to Elisabeth's door, which was open. He leaned against the door way, his shirt in his hands. He grinned at her, knowing she'd be aware of his presence.
"Hey, Elisabeth, back so soon? I dinnae expect ye for at least another few hours or so." He teased lightly, knowing she'd understand.

She knew the minute he graced her doorway but didn't turn to face him until he said, "Hey, Elisabeth, back so soon? I dinnae expect ye for at least another few hours or so.
Looking over to the doorway, Betsy's eyebrows raised as she looked over his bare chest. Looking back up at his eyes, she replied, "You would be surprised how quickly I can shop. Sometime I'll just have to show you."
Walking over to him, she pulled him in from the doorway and closed the door. Reaching down and picking up the box containing the hockey skates, she indicated to the couch and said, "Try them on to make sure they fit."

Sean smiled as Elisabeth pulled him into her room and closed the door. As she handed him the skates, he leaned in to kiss her cheek. He walked over to the couch and sat down.
He opened the box, and saw they were exactly as he asked for. He put them on, and they were a perfect fit.
He grinned up at her,
"Perfect, Elisabeth, they are fit just right! So are ye ready for a good time?" His eyes sparkled, looking forward to skating.
