due to issues that we've had with bios not being comprehensive enough, we are asking that everyone rewrite their bios to fit with the new submission guidelines(which are posted in the rules and information section). Once your bio is rewritten, post it in the "Bio Submissions" section, and we will review it.
Don't worry, if you are already accepted into the game, the changes that you make to your bio will not affect that. This new system is so that rp'ing with people is easier. There have been a few instances where people are unsure about how to approach a certain character, and quite a few times where powers have not been explained enough.
Any bios that are not updated within two weeks will be put up for adoption, unless you PM the Mods with a good reason.
Also, there are new rules that we are putting in place. The general RPG rules now read as follows:
1. Make sure that you post in an open thread. If the thread says "closed," do not post in it. Closed threads are for interaction between specified players.
2. All previously spoken parts are in both italics and quotations.
3. All psychic talking is done <like this>
4. Try to keep the writing in past tense.
5. Your character may only be in one thread at a time. When your character exits a thread, make an OOC note.
6. All OOC talking will be done in the OOC forum or (when necessary) using double parenthesis within a thread.
7. Be fair in fights.
8. We will NPC a character if they do not already have a player and they are vital in the scene, just send a PM to one of the mods.
9. You may have up to five characters. However, you may not have an OC until you have at least 2 canon characters. You may not have more than two characters on the same team. After 15 in-game posts, you may submit a bio for another character.
10. If creating a new character, they may not have more than 3 non-physical mutations. We do not want any God-like characters.
11. If you do not post for more than three weeks, your character(s) will be put up for adoption.
12. DO NOT MOVE ANOTHER CHARACTER! This is known as god-modding, and is a huge no-no. If you are in a fight, you throw the punch, but the punch does not land until the other character says it does. Give people a chance to defend themselves. It is not fair if you stage the whole thing before they have a chance to respond.
13. When posting In Character, there is a minimum of 4 sentences. Describe more than just what you say. Tell us what you're doing as you say it, what it looks like around you, what your character is thinking.
14. Do not change the color of the text when your character speaks. We'll be able to tell that they are speaking because of the quotation marks. Changing text color is unnecessary and confusing.
There will be more comprehensive rules for the OOC area and the board in general as well, but we are still working on them.
NOW, FOR THE PART THAT YOU REALLY HAVE TO PAY ATTENTION TO...
I need everyone to sign off on this. Reply to this thread with a list of all of the characters that you play. Anyone who does not sign off on this by the end of the month (Tuesday, May 30th) will have their characters put up for adoption. That is why it is important for you to list all of your characters.
And since I have your attention, if you are not already in the address book, send me a PM so that I can add you in. And each time you get a new character, you have to let me know who you are so that I can change it in the Address book. It is hard to keep track of everyone.
