happened at work today. We got called to the assisted living facility for a "fall down, go boom" with a patient lying on the floor. So we go code to get there, and sure enough, she's on the floor, alzheimers, and claiming she was pushed. Naturally we have to investigate, and it turns out there were three people sitting on a smaller couch, and our lady wanted to sit on that couch.
She was pretty insistent on sitting down and there was some sort of scuffle. I don't think any punches got thrown, and she backed down. So she backed away, and tripped on her own two feet. One of the staff had been coming to break it up and caught her as she fell.
lol these geriatrics are funny/sad at the same time
She was fine, nothing even bruised, but we had to c-collar and backboard her all the same. Few hours later we picked her up at the er, where we'd dropped her off, and took her home.
