Rogue nodded to Mystique, a silent understanding passing between them.
"That's where we'll be."
She turned to Magneto, who had remained silent throughout the ordeal, and nodded a goodbye, before heading up to her room.
((Rogue goes to her bedroom... anyone is welcome to follow))

Emma decided to follow Rogue and see if she needed help.
TBC: Rogue's Room or wherever she went ^__^

Mystique sat down heavily in a chair. For all the rage she had inside her, she was somehow unable to actually act on it. Maybe it was the reminder of the fact that both she and her foster daughter had shared the loss of Irene, maybe it was simply because she did see the Brotherhood as helping mutantkind. Either way, Raven Darkholme feared that she was going soft. But soft or not, she intended to make good on her word.
"Lensherr! We need to talk. Now." She yelled into the foyer, not bothering to move.

Up to this point, Magneto was quietly observing from the hallway. He was quite fascianted by observing Rogue and Mystique in the same room, after such a long period of time.
"Lensherr! We need to talk. Now."
With Mystique's bellowing call, he slipped into the briefing room and sat opposite her. He quietly removed his helmet, looking into Mystique's amber coloured eyes.
"I'm all ears."

"What was she talking about? What thing have you dealt with that Xavier has not, and why is it inside her little playmate? I want answers, Erik. Her being here makes me very uncomfortable." Not exactly a lie, but not completely true... "And how long will it take you to get rid of it?"

"...What thing have you dealt with that Xavier has not, and why is it inside her little playmate?
Magneto remained expressionless as he explained this to Mystique.
"Several years ago, there was a sentient non-physical lifeform that tried to enter me and take control of me. Fortunately, I was able to resist her, contain her and study her. You can find my findings on her in a file on the mainframe."
A sly grin emerged from Magneto's calm face.
"We could use this to our advantage you know...get her to do a mission perhaps, one that we wouldn't as easily be able to do ourselves."

"Is dis' Rogue and X-hombre?" Moss finally spoke up.

Mystique thought about Magneto's idea... yes, it could work to her advantage. As much as she disliked the girl at the moment, she had to admit that she was a fairly efficient fighter.
She jumped a bit as Moss spoke, she'd forgotten about him.
"You imbecile. Were you not paying attention? Yes, she's a X-Man. Which means that you probably won't be able to infiltrate them effectively. My daughter will undoubtedly remember you." She looked at her desk and clenched her jaw. "Might as well get the information necessary to get rid of those two. You... just keep reading those files. Any questions, I'm right here."
She walked over to the computer and searched for the information about Mary.

"What if she take me back wit' her. y'know, rescue me from you evil brotherhood mutants? Entienes? understand?" a sly smile crossed his face. he followed Mystique. "Dese X-hombres t'ink dey help mutantes. Let dem tink de help poor Moss."

She considered what he'd said. "You're welcome to try, but I doubt that she'd trust someone who tried to kill her so freely." Smiling, she added, "She doesn't even trust me, and I'm her mother."
She pulled up the files and started to read about Magneto's findings in regard to the thing that was posessing Gambit. Glancing towards the other side of the room, she threw a small yet heavy paperweight at Magneto's head.
"Do you still have the containment device?"

Magneto held up his hand, "catching" the papeweight in mid-air. It glided from in front of his hand onto the table.
"How mature of you Mystique."
"Do you still have the containment device?"
"Yes of course, it's down in the laboratory. I thought I would keep it, not know when we'd meet our ethereal friend again."

"Yes of course, it's down in the laboratory. I thought I would keep it, not know when we'd meet our ethereal friend again."
She groaned. A walk to the lab was not something that she'd planned on doing. Instead, she picked up the phone on her desk and pressed the intercom.
"Creed, come to the briefing room."
She sat back down.
"We'll have the big hairball go get it."

Moss wandered out of the room, and in the general direction of where the other women had gone.

He'd been out in the hallway, still. Lurking. Now, he walked into the briefing room with a growl.
"I heard that, Raven. And you didn't seem to think of me as just a hairball back in Germany... what was the year? 194--"
He wasn't able to finish the sentence before a stapler hit him square in the face. Mystique was in a mood. He smiled, his pointed teeth showing.
"I'll go get the machine, m'lady."
Bowing gallantly, he left the room, returning moments later with a small case.
"It's in there. Bye." He lumbered out of the room again, not giving a reason or alerting anyone of his intended destination. It wasn't really their business anyway.

She felt a certain satisfaction as her well-aimed stapler hit its mark, hard. When the large feline-like mutant returned with the device, she was tempted to shake a can of cat treats and offer to reward him. Instead, she just watched him leave silently, then set to work trying to figure out the device.
"You wouldn't happen to have a manual, would you?" She looked at Magneto. "Of course, you wouldn't."
After tinkering with the device for a few minutes, she had it figured out. Making sure that the straps were connected properly, she slid it back into the case that she'd removed it from and locked it.
"I need an old priest and a young priest." Her attempt at a joke reminded her of what Rogue had said earlier about Kurt. Was he really injured? She shook her head. No going soft, Raven. Even when it comes to your own children. Thinking about the child that had come asking for her help that day, she grunted. The only time she went soft was when it involved them, in a non-battle situation.
"So. Shall we do this?"
