The entrance to the Hellfire Club is as grand as it is old. A covered walkway from the edge of the road to the door is also red carpeted to welcome the Club's illustrious members. Gold enhanced doors are opened by two valets while your car, if not already driven by your own driver, is parked by a valet.

The flight was quick and uneventful, for which Emma was grateful for. Sharon was never very good when she was off the ground and she half expected the girl to transform into her house cat form and wind up naked once again. She really did have to check into regular clothing made out of the Hellions uniform for her.
As they drove to the Club from the airport, she asked, “You all know what is going to happen. Anyone have any questions? I probably won't be staying very long, just long enough to make sure everyone is settled in.”
As anxious as she was to get to Washington, the safety of the students came first. She wouldn't leave until she knew that every single security agent in the Club knew to keep an eye on them for signs of trouble. The students wouldn't know it but there would be armed security with them everywhere they went in the city. Emma wasn't leaving anything to fate, just as Jono had mentioned earlier. She didn't trust fate and believed she could create her own.

Jono leaned back against the seat in the limousine, listening to Emma's explanation in silence. Much of this he knew already. For once, he wouldn't complain about being forced into his mute, burn victim facade. Of course, if anything happened and he had to use his powers, they all could be in trouble. Maybe he shouldn't have come. He didn't want to endanger the students. Then he remembered his promise to the White Queen. He would take care of the kids, as he had assured her.
He didn't interject for now, letting the students ask whatever questions they wanted to, watching the metropolis outside as they drove past it. New York City was enormous and busy, it almost had a life of its own. He wasn't terribly eager to explore it, he'd had enough of club hopping and nightlife when dating Sugar Kane to last him a good long while and was still a bit concerned about being recognized. But if the kids wanted to explore the city, he'd go with them. Who knows, maybe he might actually enjoy it. A large city like this offered many possibilities to distract yourself from your troubles. And with that bloody bill up for vote, the mutants had plenty troubles to distract themselves from.

Rusty was green the entire way. He hadn't done much flying at all and every time he had, it had been short and hideously unpleasant, leaving him with a great desire never to do it again. Thankfully, he managed to keep his stomach down because it was a blessedly short flight.
He spent the entire trip running his mind across the details Emma had given them. She was still protecting them from reality a bit, he noticed, not telling them what the bill was. How it would let anyone know what any mutant could do and where they were at any given time.
Let anyone track down a specific mutant.
That had nearly sent Rusty running for an airsick bag or something and he'd had to clutch as his stomach swallowing repeatedly and thinking about something nice and calm for a few minutes. If people had been meant to fly they would have been given wings. Or the ability to fly some other way. Unless they could do it themselves they were supposed to travel on the ground or over the water. It was as simple as that.
“You all know what is going to happen. Anyone have any questions? I probably won't be staying very long, just long enough to make sure everyone is settled in.” Emma asked.
Rusty replied quickly, before anyone else "Do you have any idea how long it might take?" It made him a bit uneasy being out here among all these people, he hadn't really left the academy for months and it was bringing back a few memories. There was no way he was going barhopping, no way in hell. He knew wherever they were staying would be incredibly luxurious, Ms. Frost allowed for nothing else but it was still...unsettling.

She had caught a glimpse of the paper that Emma was reading before it had been put away, and was too lost in thinking about what she'd read to really notice that they were in a plane. When she did, however, she tensed up and began to morph into panther form. By the time she was back in control, she had torn the bottom of her pants, something that normally happened when her leg muscles explanded and contorted. She looked around, breathing a sigh of relief as she realized that no one had seen. She pulled down the shade on her window and reached forward, doing the same to the one in the seat in front of her, and then going back and pulling the shade behind her as well. If she couldn't see the ground rushing past her, she should be fine. Closing her eyes, she was actually able to fall asleep, the dull murmur of the engines pulling her into slumber. When she woke, they were about to land. She rubbed her eyes and waited patiently. When they let everyone off the plane, she practically ran down the stairs, planting her feet on solid ground.
She looked at Emma as she spoke to them about the plans. Spending time in the city... she didn't know whether she really wanted to be there or not, but there were things that she could do. It would be hard for her to fight off the memories of her time in the city, but she could make the best of it. Maybe make an appearance in the park, give the tabloids something to play around with again. It had been years since the mysterious pantherwoman had been seen running through Central Park. She wondered if the people still walked around, searching for signs of her. It had been annoying then, but she had honestly missed it while she was at the Academy. She smiled. She could show Jono. He'd think it was funny. She continued to muse silently, completely oblivious to the people around her.

Sabastian actually enjoyed the flight, It was one of the things he had always enjoyed. He wasn't going to let anything get his spirits down, he never really did. If the bill passed then it would pass, if not then not. He'd worry about it later.
He felt pretty sorry for Rusty who didn't seem to be enjoying thier time on the plane, but at least it was over soon, and they had Madames information to keep them sidetracted.
Once in the limo everyone seemed to relax... well at least a little. Sabastian on the other hand tensed up a bit. He knew New York pretty well, he knew how to look for pickpocketers, and how to take care of himself. To do that, he head to be on the constant alert, which he switched to almost as soon as they got in the limo.
"Anyone have any questions?"
Sabastian had one, and it wasn't related to anything that was happening, beside the fact that they were in New York. An answer to Rusty's question would be helpful in that aspect.
" I second Rusty's question, because I know you said to explore the city, but I would like permission to visit my family. They live here you know."
He didn't think Madame would say no, but there was always that slim chance, and he wanted to be sure. If she did say no however, Sabastian would see his brother Lee and maybe Sarah secretly. He would never get away with seeing his parents.

Emma sighed. She wished she had a real answer for Rusty's question but she didn't. “I honestly don't know. I am not going to drag my feet in this manner. The sooner this is over with, the better. However, I also want to make sure that it goes in our favor and I'm willing to take however long necessary,” she answered them honestly.
She looked over at Sabastian as she continued, “You know how to handle your family, yes you may see them. I would never dream of keeping you from your siblings.” Sabastian knew that but she still wanted it to be said.
They pulled in front of the majestic doors of the Club and a valet came out to open the door for them. Pulling the glass partition down, she looked at her driver and said, “I will be a couple of hours at most. Be ready to pick me up when I call you.”
She waited for the students to exit before following them out and into the building.

Rand had been bored the whole flight. He hated planes and flying. He had sat there listening to music and reading the whole time until they were about to land. He hadn't spoken a word to anyone. He felt as if he needed some time to be alone with himself. He didn't know New York at all, but he had no questions. He got out of the car and walked in with the others.
