The stepping disc deposited her in the middle of a wasteland that crackled with energy. It was night in Limbo and the two moons cast a pale yet bright glow across the landscape. She had ended up in the desert and the red sand stretched away from her on all sides. Had she not been capable of teleporting herself right back out, it would have been one of the worst places to be stranded. As it was, Illyana almost preferred the desert because the multitude of demons who called Limbo their home barely ever bothered to stray into its seemingly endless depths. They tended to stick to the rock lands and the rare coastal almost vegetative areas.
Belasco had whispered that the land of Limbo conformed to its master's wishes. That, if he wanted to, he could have made it a paradise. Some of the demons thought she might do that when she overthrew him, but she hadn't cared in the slightest. Still didn't. Let it rot.
Let it all fall down.
She didn't even care if she lost her powers, her magic or her sword. If Limbo fell, she would dance and weep with joy for the first time in her life because as long as this place existed than she would never truly be free.
Settling herself down in the sand, she `ported her scrying glass to her from the cave in which she had hidden it. Her Soulsword remain clutched in her right hand, giving off a faint light as it pulsed with her own anxiety. Once she had adjusted the glass to its right position, she focused in on the Triskellion suites. She never worried about setting off any of the psychic alarms. If they ever felt her magic worming its way through the walls, they had never said anything. Maybe passed it off as telepathic heartburn and moved on. It wasn't like she was really doing anything wrong. Rather than track people and look into rooms, she played around with energy signatures, each person given a unique color.
Scanning through the suites, she soon saw that Northstar and Kurt were both situated in the aforementioned John Paul's room. Which was much more interesting than tormenting SHEILD agents. Making a mental note, Illyana teleported the glass back to its cave and then summoned another stepping disc to whisk her away to her next destination. How anyone got anywhere without teleportation was beyond her.
A lone demon scuttled out of the darkness just as the stepping disc's light washed over her. Illyana dispatched it with a slice to its head with her Soulsword just before she faded out of the dimension altogether.

The instant the yellow light faded, Illyana felt her Soulsword leap to her hands. Where, mere hours ago, she had `ported into Limbo night, it was now day. The sun was high and hot. Hopefully hot enough to keep any demons away. The last thing she needed was for Mystique's daughter to get mauled while on a mission with her. In her own "kingdom" nonetheless.
The coast looked fairly clear. They had ended up in the same desert that she had ported into earlier that day. It was one of the better places in Limbo because it was so horrible in and of itself that only the really nasty demons ventured out this far.
Glancing at Rogue she said, "You might want to sit down. You're probably not used to the dimensional flux. Some people get stomachaches from it." With a wave of her hand, she teleported one of the chairs from Belasco's old castle into the middle of the desert. "There you go. This will take me a couple of minutes anyway."
After summoning her scrying glass, Illyana said a few archaic Latinate words over an empty flask pulled from thin air. A dark green liquid filled it within seconds. "Better than coffee," she commented as she drained it and then waved her hand over the scrying glass, waiting for it to clear.
"So, why are we paying a visit to Xavier's anyway?" Illyana had never been. Only heard of it from time to time. Occasional references made to another school that taught mutants about their powers. Not that she cared much. After all, it had been Magneto's men who had found her. There was no reason to be interested in alternatives when her debt had still not been repaid.

After assuring Illyana that she did, indeed, have everything she needed, she was whisked away into Limbo. Even though she had traveled that way before, it was an odd feeling that she didn’t think she would ever really get used to. And she hadn’t actually remained in Limbo for more than a few seconds before. The air was thick, to say the least. Sitting in the offered seat, she watched as Illana did something weird and drank what had to be the nastiest looking potion ever. And seemed to enjoy it. “Whatever you say.”
"So, why are we paying a visit to Xavier's anyway?" She shrugged, pulling the portfolio with the forms that she had to fill out out of her bag. “Just have to make sure it still meets all of the government guidelines. You know, we send someone every couple ‘a years. Figured it was past time Ah went to visit everyone there.”
Looking around, she shuddered despite the rather oppressive heat. Not the most fun way to travel, even if it was fast. Tucking the portfolio back into her bag, she stood up. “You almost done? No offense, but this little world of yours creeps me out somethin’ fierce.”

“Just have to make sure it still meets all of the government guidelines. You know, we send someone every couple ‘a years. Figured it was past time Ah went to visit everyone there.”
Drawing a hand across the surface of the glass in a sweeping motion, Illyana nodded at Anna's comments as though she really actually cared. This was not her mission. It was Anna's. She was merely acting as a method of transportation. One day, she was going to have to ask Kurt how he took being used as a tool so well. Sometimes it made her want to carve people's insides out.
It was different when they were all going on a mission together. Being used like a cheap bus ticket, though, was a little undignified.
"Well, doesn't that sound like ever so much fun," she finally managed to reply as the view on the glass began to form. It started high above North America and then steadily drew in tighter and tighter around the state of New York. Once it had fixed itself into a sharp point about a rather nice looking mansion, Illyana nodded, committing the trajectory to heart as she did so.
"You almost done? No offense, but this little world of yours creeps me out somethin’ fierce.”
Porting the glass away in a flash of light, Illyana brushed her hands off on her leggings. "Yes, well, had you actually seemed to enjoy yourself here, I'd have to recommend that your mother have your head examined." Friendly? No, not really.
Her Soulsword pulsed in her hand, and she glanced around the open desert. "Actually, I believe this is probably a very good time for us to depart. Whenever you're ready." Sword held out, eyes scanning the horizon, she waited for Anna to join her.

It wouldn't take long. Just a second to get her bearings from the journey and then she could teleport back to her room, which was just as well because rather than ending up in the desert this time she found herself in the middle of a pack of demons.
Her Soulsword leaped into her hand the moment her vision cleared. Knocking a couple of the demons across the head with the back of the blade, she shrugged. "I'd love to stay guys, but this is completely not my scene." Shrugging, she opened another stepping disc. Home again, home again. Well, as much of a home as she could lay claim to anyway.

((Enter Magik and Sam (with permission) from Illyana's room))
The flash of yellow light found them in the midst of a throne room. Everything was covered in a thick layer of dust and there was an acrid smell of decay and skin charring. A bloodstain so old it had seeped into the stones, turning them black, spread out across the floor a few paces away from where she and Sam stood.
It was there that she had killed Belasco. Anyone else probably would have cared. Illyana merely looked at it for moment, silently.
As the light from the stepping disc faded away, Illyana's eyes adjusted to the almost complete shadow that encompassed the throne room. There was a slight skittering in the shadows, the sound of something with eight legs moving around.
"Well, partner, hope you're ready for another jaunt because I, for one, am not inclined to linger here," she said. And with that the light from the stepping disc surrounded them again, porting them to Hammer Bay even as it lit up the sight of a rather large demon hulking in the shadows.

Illyana didn't even pause long enough to let the realm of Limbo shimmer fully into existence around them. The second she felt the ground beneath her feet and the slight shift in energy that meant she had arrived at a place rather than moving through space, she summoned another disc beneath them. She'd spent more than enough time in Limbo today. Besides, the last thing Carol needed to see before a meal was an endless line of demons trying to tear each other and probably them as well to shreds.

((Enter Illyana from Briefing Room))
Her Soulsword flickered into her hand the instant the light from her stepping disc began to fade, which was never a good sign. Usually, she would have taken a couple minutes to go ahead and show any wayward demons that despite the fact she'd rather crawl on her belly across broken glass than stay there, she was still the ruler of Limbo whether they liked it or not. Today, however, things were a little different. She was in a hurry. Not only because Mystique had given her a direct order but also because the longer she lingered, the less chance she had of catching Guthrie in a truly compromising condition.
She had to get her kicks somehow.
Keeping the Soulsword, as given Sam's present condition he might forget the fact that it couldn't actually hurt him, she mentally noted the position of his tracking chip and then teleported again before the sharp, filthy claws of a particularly nasty bile dripping demon could touch her.

((Enter Illyana and Sam (wit mod permission to move) from Hammer Bay))
Illyana didn't even give Sam or the pack of demons she had ported into the middle of the chance to properly catch their bearings. Instead she waited for a split second and then opened another disc up as soon as the old ones faded, leaving her Soulsword behind as she did so. No reason to bring it back with her.
