While Terry pulled Alex into her room, he was somewhat confused and completely turned on with her eagerness. But as it turned out, it was just to avoid her uncle. He kept quiet like she asked but was a bit disturbed that she didn't clear off the bed. He didn't want any hair peieces or brushes poking his ass cheek or hers. Comfortability was the best thing in this situation except he didn't want to go through her things. Alex was more of a gentleman than that. Instead he sat on the corner of the bed and waited for Terry to finish up.
Alex decided that Terry's suggestion was a good one. He would need his jacket if they were going out. The cold air still reached him through the heat he radiated from his body, which reminded him of the fact he needed to release some energy soon. That was going to be difficult to hide from her. He had to figure out a way to get away from her for a few moments just enough time for a quick plasma wave and then they can continue.
Maybe it wasn't a good idea to come here? Alex thought to himself. He definately got the wrong impression when he was asked to come to her room. Regardless, Alex fished for the keys to the rental car in his pocket and held them in his hand. He really wasn't sure what she was doing in the bathroom. If she brought him up here for casual sex then he was definately being taken off guard, if not, then they could easily stop at his room really quickly to grab his jacket. Alex was confused on what to do next, he still couldn't tell what Terry was doing. Tessa was different and he couldn't read her well. Deciding to wait and see what she does when she exits the bathroom, Alex sat there patiently waiting.

Theresa brushed through her hair and pulled it back in a long, loose braid. She had learned long ago that no matter how tightly she braided it, it still managed to come loose and pieces of hair would fall around her face. After wrapping the band around the bottom, she walked out of the bathroom and saw that Alex had taken a seat on the bed anyway.
Walking over to where she had dumped her sweater earlier, she picked up the navy blue item and slipped it over her head, pulling her braid out from under it. If she had her regular winter coat, she wouldn't have had to deal with the sweater but with the cloak, she needed the extra layer.
Picking up the key card that she had thrown on the dresser, she put it in her back pocket and looked over at Alex. "Sorry it's a bit of a mess in here. We left without much warning and I dinna get ta pack anything," she apologized. If her house back in Ireland looked this disorganized, she usually had a fit and flew about tidying up. However, it just wouldn't be seemly to fly around her hotel room with Alex there.
Taking her cloak off the hanger where she had finally put it, she draped it over her arm and noticed the keys in Alex's hands. Walking back over to him, she sat down next to him and said with a huge smile, "Ya have yuir own car here? Oh, that will be so much better than walking in this cold weather."

Alex stood up when Terry came out of the bathroom. He was eager to know why he was brought up here but severely disappointed that she really was just getting ready to explore the city. Oh well, Alex thought to himself. He would much rather get to know her a little better and get to hear her laugh and talk for right now. There was always later, if things lead down that path. Not that he wouldn't mind, though. He respected her more this way than if they just had casual sex without any formal date like situation. A dance and a drink hardly counted as a date.
"I was hoping we can walk actually," Alex said as he opened the door to her room and exited her room. This way, it would be much easier to sneak a plasma wave while she wasn't looking. "If you get cold, just stay close," Alex said but he almost stopped himself. He knew the heat that he radiated would help but he didn't want to be so forward or even explain why he radiated heat in the first place.
"I just have to make a quick stop at my room. It's one floor up. I won't take long," Alex said leading Terry to the elevator. Once the elevator opened to reveal that no one occupied it, he stepped into the empty crate and held the doors open for Terry. "Let me ask you something. Why did you bring me up to your room?" Alex was wondering this and finally got the nerve to ask. He was hoping it didn't offend her as he didn't want this night to end just yet. Alex was enjoying himself to much.

As Alex opened the door to her room, he told her, "I was hoping we can walk actually. If you get cold, just stay close."
Theresa couldn't help thinking what a gentlemanly thing to say even if she did doubt she'd get too cold. She did grow up in Ireland, after all, and the winters there could be quite severe. Still, she was a bit disappointed they would be walking. That meant they wouldn't be able to explore much of the city at all. She mentally shrugged it off and walked with him down the hall to the elevator.
As she stepped inside, Theresa was amazed that it was empty. Considering the amount of people that had been in the hotel lobby, she didn't think any place would be empty. A faint smell caught her attention and Theresa realized it the smell she associated with Tom. A mix of weather and alcohol, it was usually a dead giveaway that he was home whenever he would visit her at the Keep. She wasn't really sneaking out but she still didn't want to run into her cousin. He could still spoil her fun.
Leaning against the wall of the elevator, she heard Alex say, "Let me ask you something. Why did you bring me up to your room?"
Tilting her head slightly to the side, she thought it was an odd question but that was okay. For a second, Theresa wondered if she had done something wrong by inviting him up but pushed the thought aside. It couldn't have been too bad if he had taken her up on the invite. "It wouldna have been polite ta leave ya down in the lobby ta wait with all those people milling about," she answered honestly.

Theresa sniffled all the way back to her room. She knew Alex was worried about the damages but Tom had money. A lot of it. She was sure he would pay for the damages. He was, after all, the one who caused them.
When they finally made it to her door, she pulled the card out of her back pocket and let them in. Absently, she hung up the cloak then looked around her room. It was exactly how she had left it earlier that night and she couldn't believe how much had changed in such a short amount of time. There had to be some way to work things out with Tom. There just had to be.
Before she could start crying again, Theresa walked into her bathroom and splashed her face with cold water. Drying off, she looked at herself and noticed her eyes were puffy from crying and lack of sleep and her usually pale face was even more so.
Turning away from the reflection, she walked back out to Alex and said, "Ya can put yuir stuff in tha drawers. I dinna bring anything with me and what I have, I bought downstairs." As she said that, she picked up the items from her bed and put them on the counter in the bathroom.
Finally done, she turned to him with sorrow in her big blue eyes. "I have ta see him alone, Alex. It's tha only way. I hurt him and I dinna think I would ever do something like that. Please promise you'll be here when I get back," she almost pleaded. After seeing her cousin, she was afraid he would leave the minute she wasn't looking. She couldn't really blame him, after all. Tom was enough to scare most anyone.

Alex walked silently with Theresa down the hallways. He had no idea what to say to her to make her feel any better. Feeling her sorrow though was the best he could come up with. There was nothing he could do personally to make things better. Theresa had to speak to her cousin. There was no other way. They had to work things out.
Theresa opened the door and Alex stepped inside behind her. The room was exactly how they left it and Alex remembered how much of an ass he made of himself the last time he was in here. He simply placed his suitcase beside the bed while Theresa visited the ladies room. She was under a lot of stress and Alex felt a little misplaced at the moment. There was no where else he would rather be, though. Theresa needed him and he was going to be there for her.
"Ya can put yuir stuff in tha drawers. I dinna bring anything with me and what I have, I bought downstairs," Theresa explained. The comment was slightly odd to Alex though. Why would you go on a trip with none of your personal posessions? Alex wondered. He didn't speak his thought. Not at the moment. He would try to remember later when things calmed down. Theresa was too busy taking her stuff off the bed and putting them away. Does she always clean when she's stressed out? An interesting question that Alex would have to answer later. Now that he knew that Theresa was going to leave with him after whatever she had to do. There would be plenty of time to find out everything there is to know about her.
"I have ta see him alone, Alex. It's tha only way. I hurt him and I dinna think I would ever do something like that. Please promise you'll be here when I get back," Theresa said with more pain in her voice. It was heartbreaking and Alex didn't know where it came from. He knew that he was going to be waiting for her but he only worried if she was going to be okay with that lunatic alone.
"Maybe I haven't made myself clear," Alex started as he walked up to her. He was standing face to face with herand looked straight into her deep blue eyes. "I'm not going anywhere. When you get back, I'm going to be right here waiting for you," Alex explained to her. He didn't want to leave her side but he knew that she would have to do this alone. He leaned in and pressed his lips against hers. Alex wanted her to know that nothing has changed his feelings for her. Wrapping his arms around her, he did nothing but hold and kiss her. When the kiss broke, Alex still looked into her eyes and finished what he wanted to say before letting her go for the time being. "If you need me, just scream. Shatter all the walls and I'll be right there as soon as I possibly can."

"Maybe I haven't made myself clear. I'm not going anywhere. When you get back, I'll be right here waiting for you," Alex said as he walked toward her. Then he looked at her with the gaze she was quickly beginning to love seeing and kissed her. Theresa wrapped her arms around him and held him tightly, as if her very life depended on it.
Breaking off the kiss, Alex continued, "If you need me, just scream. Shatter all the walls and I'll be there as soon as I possibly can."
Theresa smiled up at him. "He won't hurt me, Alex. Deep down, he does love me and I know that. I'll be fine but you will know it if I need you," she tried to reassure. He had seen the bad side of Tom, the side that she usually didn't see. Yes, they had had their fair number of horrible fights but never like this. This was new territory for both of them and Theresa just hoped they could get past it.
Letting go of Alex, she pocked the key card and walked out the door before she lost her nerve.

Alex watched as Theresa left the room. He was still worried for her. Even though her cousin Tom left with a lot of pain written on his face, Alex didn't trust him and Tom was capable of seriously hurting her. Moving his luggage to the opposite side of the bed, he started to unpack his things but he remembered that he wasn't staying in the city for much longer. The thought saddened him. He didn't want to leave Theresa. There was just something about her. Something that he couldn't just leave behind or forget, ever.
Alex debated on going to find his brother but he knew he had to be readily available just in case Theresa needed him. There was no telling how her conversation with her cousin was going. It wasn't his place to interrupt but he was getting impatient. If Theresa came back in tears, Alex wouldn't hesitate to go straight to his room and settle any differences by putting Tom in a world of pain. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that but if it was necessary then it was necessary.
Alex placed his things back into his suitcase and put it back next to the bed. There wasn't anything else he could do but wait for Theresa's return. He sat on the bed and turned on the television to a low volume in case he would need to hear Theresa from Tom's room. The channel was changed to CNN and their coverage of the Mutant Registry Act that was trying to get passed. More depressing thoughts from Alex followed the coverage but he wanted to know more about it. It would definately effect both Alex and Theresa. Not to mention his brother and his wife. Nothing good can come out of the approval of the act. Nothing at all.

Tom gave her an angry look when she asked who had told him where to find her and she knew she was right. They hadn't gotten along at all since they had first met and now that Tom was sober again, he was questioning Exodus' reasons. So was she but apparently, she wasn't going to be discovering them right away.
Escorting her out of his room and into the hall, he walked her to her door and pulled her into his arms again. A feeling of dread washed over her by his action but she pushed it aside. This is how he always told her goodbye when he would leave. And Tom had just told her not to show up in the morning. Hugging him back, she said, "I love ya too, Uncle Tom. Please be careful."
Then he was gone. She watched him walk a few doors down, then she unlocked her own door and walked in. Closing the door, she leaned against it for a few seconds then walked in the rest of the way. Her eyes landed on Alex immediately and she couldn't hold back her smile.
Crossing the room quickly, she sat down next to him and took the remote from his hands, turning off the tv. Smiling a bit shyly, she said, "Everything is going ta be fine. He.... he told me that he was wrong ta try ta keep me from growing up and that I should take this opportunity I've been given and see what the world has ta offer. So, if you are still willing ta stay by me, there is nothing holding me back now."

The coverage of the Mutant Registry Act gave Alex no new information about it. There was still no new developements and at this time of the day, he doubted that there would be any. Alex still had his mind on Theresa, though. She just couldn't get out of his mind. He worried for her safety and he wanted to be there with her, just in case. Alex sat up and looked at the door. Struggling to keep himself in the room, he wanted nothing more to break down Tom's door like he did in his room. But Alex would rather commit to Theresa's wishes and handle the situation herself. It was her family, after all.
The door opened and Alex became fully alert and watched the opening. He couldn't see the door from where he was sitting and no one emerged from the small little hallway. Alex almost stood up to go see who opened the door when Theresa finally came out of the opening and gave hima asmile. All the worrying that he just put himself through was quickly erased by a smile of his own.
"How did it go?" Alex asked her as Theresa made her way to his side. She made no hesitation on ripping the remote out of his hand and turning the television off. The look on her face told Alex that the meeting with her cousin went okay but he wanted to make sure that that was the case.
"Everything is going ta be fine. He.... he told me that he was wrong ta try ta keep me from growing up and that I should take this opportunity I've been given and see what the world has ta offer. So, if you are still willing ta stay by me, there is nothing holding me back now," Theresa said to him. Alex couldn't help but smile at her. The meeting with her cousin went good and she was safe. That's what mattered the most to Alex, that Theresa wasn't physically or emotionally attacked. Alex reached up with his righ hand and removed hair away from her face to the back of her ear.
"You're stuck with me then," Alex said smiling at her still. The smile never leaves when Theresa was around. Just the sight of her had made Alex's smile return to him and he couldn't stop himself, even if he tried. He leaned in and kissed her breifly. "and you're not getting rid me," Alex finished with his smile still plastered on his face.

"You're stuck with me then and you're not getting rid me," Alex replied to her with a brief kiss.
Theresa grinned. "Well, I don't have ta do what I was brought here ta do, according ta Tom, so I'm completely free tha rest of tha day," she told him. Theresa remembered how he had asked her to spend the day with him and now she could. Only one thing troubled her. Now that she was no longer working with Magneto, did that mean she had to give up the room? If she saw Tom again, she'd have to ask him. He did, after all, just let her loose on the world with no money.
Noticing it was still an insanely early hour of the morning, she suggested, "Why don't we get some sleep and then we ken worry about tha morning when it comes, okay?" After all her worrying and all the fighting, she was exhausted and wondered if she would even wake up before noon. Getting off the bed, she walked into the bathroom to pull her hair back into a braid and wondered what on earth she was going to do with the uniform that was hanging up in her closet.

"Well, I don't have ta do what I was brought here ta do, according ta Tom, so I'm completely free tha rest of tha day," Theresa said to him with a beautiful grin. It was strange, Alex missed that smile when she was only gone very briefly but now he could enjoy her company all day. That fact alone made Alex smile back at her. "Why don't we get some sleep and then we ken worry about tha morning when it comes, okay?" Theresa continued then immediately got off the bed towards the bathroom without giving Alex any time for Alex to answer. She was right though. They needed some rest. Alex was looking forward to spending the day with Theresa. Just having her in his presence has given him something to look forward to, other than releasing some energies.
Getting off the bed, Alex took his shirt off, exposing the containment suit he had underneath it. He walked over to the doorway of the bathroom and watched Theresa put her hair into a braid, exposing her neck. That beautiful neckline that connected her perfect body to her gorgeous face and hair and mind. Alex could go on forever about how lucky he was to have found her in the bar but that would be wasting precious time that he could be spending with her. Alex walked up behind her and gently kissed her exposed neck. It tasted better than anytime before and he wanted to continue to snack on her but he resisted long enough to look up into the mirror. He held her around her waist and pulled her in tight so he can feel the warmth of her body against his and rested his head on top of hers. His eyes searched the reflection in the mirror of the two of Theresa wrapped in Alex's arms but his eyes soon fell directly to the reflection Theresa's blue eyes. They always had a way to trap his stare, not that he minded, they were a beautiful sight and he was glad to be able to see them all day long.
"I have one thing to do tomorrow," Alex said breaking the hold she had with her eyes. He had to break his grasp on her body so he can concentrate on telling her what he needed to do when they woke up. "I have to visit my brother. I haven't seen him in over twenty years and I just found him yesterday," Alex dropped his head in disappointment. He knew he had told her he wanted to spend all day with her but he had to know his brother, too, but he did want Theresa there with him. Standing by the doorway to the bathroom, Alex continued, "I want you to meet him and his wife. Not like before when you were yelling at your cousin but actually meet him this time."

Just as she finished wrapping the band around the bottom of her hair, Alex wrapped his arms around her and nuzzled her neck. Sleep, Theresa reminded herself as her stomach did a familiar flip at the feel of Alex's arms around her.
"I have one thing to do tomorrow. I have to visit my brother. I haven't seen him in over twenty years and I just found him yesterday. I want you to meet him and his wife. Not like before when you were yelling at your cousin but actually meet him this time," Alex informed her as he broke the embrace and walked back out toward the room.
Theresa followed him into the main bedroom and said in surprise, "Ya havena seen yuir brother in twenty years and ya just met him again today?" She walked over to a t-shirt she had thrown on the bed. It was one of several things she had bought in the gift shop earlier and she had planned on using it as a nightshirt.
Watching Alex while she changed into the shirt, she continued, "If ye havena seen him in so long, why were ya in the bar tonight? Why weren't ya spending every possible moment with him, catching up?"
She couldn't imagine seeing a loved one for the first time in longer then she had been alive and then walking away without spending as much time with them as she could. Realizing how her words were coming out, she walked over to Alex and took his hand in her own. Looking up into his eyes, she said, "Don't get me wrong, luv, I'm more then grateful that ya showed up and approached me but it just surprises me. And I would be honored ta meet yuir family tomorrow."

Theresa brushed by him on his way out of the bathroom. Her touch, even in the slightest, sent that strange tingling feeling through him that he was enjoying so much. The scent of her filled his nose when she walked by him and Alex just closed his eyes and remembered the first time he smelled her hair at the Christmas tree lighting. It was something that he wasn't going to forget.
"Ya havena seen yuir brother in twenty years and ya just met him again today?" Theresa asked. She took her shirt off and his eyes were completely distracted until she slipped a new shirt on. His eyes came back up to her eyes. He knew that she saw him admiring her body, he couldn't help it, she was beautiful. There wasn't a part of her body that he didn't like to look at or touch. "If ye havena seen him in so long, why were ya in the bar tonight? Why weren't ya spending every possible moment with him, catching up?" she continued after her nightshirt was on.
"Scott is here with his wife and I didn't want to intrude on their plans," Alex quickly explained with a little disappointment in his voice. He stood by the bed but didn't lay down. Alex felt bad for brushing off Scott earlier but Theresa needed him at that time. Scott had to understand that.
"Don't get me wrong, luv, I'm more then grateful that ya showed up and approached me but it just surprises me. And I would be honored ta meet yuir family tomorrow," Theresa said as she grabbed his hand. Her touch was surprising, he didn't realize she had got so close without him realizing it. Her words made Alex smile, he was glad she was willing to move forward in their relationship so quickly.
"Thank you, Theresa. I'm sure my new family will enjoy your company as much as I have," Alex said as he held her hand up to his lips. The softness of her hands were gentle on his lips. "I'm glad to have met you , too. More than glad, I'm grateful and more than lucky to have met you," Alex explained to her before he stepped closer to her and kissed her lips. Holding Theresa was something his arms missed everytime she's not in them. His arms wanted to be permanently wrapped around her.
