She shrugged and sighed at the same time. "It's a real recent development. As in just before you got here. Ah don't know what t'..." She was cut off by a loud banging noise against the door. Frustrated, she stomped towards it, turning to Betsy again at the last second. "If this is another special visitor..."
She threw the door open and got ready to throw someone else out on their ass. Instead, she raised an eyebrow. "Morlocks on the doorstep. Could this day get any weirder?"
Realizing that she was probably making Callisto uncomfortable, she stormed over to the bench and sat down heavily, muttering, "Ignore me."

Just when the conversation was getting real good, a heavy thud sounded a few times on the door. Betsy let Rogue handle it as she put her purchase back into it's bag. However, when Rogue said, "Morlocks on the doorstep. Could this day get any weirder?", Betsy's head jerked up to see a very worn out looking Callisto. At least she thought Callisto looked worn out. Sometimes it was hard to tell with that woman.
As Rogue flounced away from the door and pouted on a bench, Betsy took her place and said, “Hullo, Callisto. Is there something we can help you with?”

"Morlocks on the doorstep. Could this day get any weirder?"
Callisto paused a moment, taken aback. That hadn't been quite the reception she'd been expecting.
"Ignore me."
Rogue still made little sense so but she was giving decent advice. "Will do." Callisto snapped out.
“Hullo, Callisto. Is there something we can help you with?” Psylocke said, sounding as surprised to see her as Rogue.
Callisto paused again. She'd been wrong before, this was the hardest part. Actually swalloing her pride and asking for the help. Dammit! She was not asking for help.
"I need to talk to Charley, if I can." She said quickly, not wanting the telepath to go prying. She hated the idea of telepaths. Which made what she was doing even more stupid. But she was doing it. "It's sort of important."

He was pissed, and it was clearly written all over his face, the walk back from the mall had been anything but exhilarating. His hands were frozen as he made his way up the front door, invulnerability or not, Logan felt frozen to the bone. The admantium skeleton probably didn't help that much either.
"Excuse me," Logan said with barely a glance at anyone standing in the foyer area. Oh yeah he was without a doubt pissed.

All at once, three things were happening. Callisto was asking for Charles, Logan came pushing his way through, mad at the world and an unknown voice came over the intercom. Rogue was still pouting and not being of any use at the moment so it was up to her.
She looked at Callisto and said, “Charles isn't here at the moment, sit down.” Betsy pointed to the bench and the empty spot next to Rogue.
Then she pushed the gate button on the intercom device, opening the gate as she said, “The front door is open.”
Finally looking at Logan, she continued, “There is coffee and tea in the kitchen, that will warm you up. I'll be in there in a minute.”
Shaking her head, Betsy wished she had stayed longer in the city. Maybe two more nights would have lessoned the stress some.....

Continued from So it Begins...
Alex had only been standing there for a few minutes when a woman’s voice came over the intercom.
“The front door is open.”
With that silently and slowly the gate slid open, he had to admit the mansion did look very impressive but it looked more like a mental institution than a school. He turned on his bike and kicked up the stand and rode up the driveway with the gate closing shut behind him. He followed the driveway until he reached what looked live the garage. One of the garage doors was up so he drove in and parked the bike next to another motorcycle that had some type of claw marks on it. “What the hell goes on in this place?” he thought to himself.
He walked out of the garage to the main entrance of the mansion. What should he do just walk in and demand to talk with the professor, he had never met him but Heather had told him that he was the only one that could help him. The front door was already open, so Alex made his way in closing the door behind him. He looked around a little, he was in awe of how big this place was students and residents of the mansion that were passing by looked over at him, no doubt looking at his scars.
He stopped one of them “Hey do you know were I can find Professor Charles Xavier?”
She looked up at him shook her head and walked away.
"Thank's, I guess."

“There is coffee and tea in the kitchen, that will warm you up. I'll be in there in a minute.”"Thanks Bets, I think I'll do just that, soon as I find me a stogie.." "As far as where Xavier is , if hes here, then hes here. if he ain't, well you know the rest ." Logan wasnt about to disclose the location of Xavier, hopefully Rogue and others had recieved the email about Xaviers trip to Washington. Logan wasn't in any mood for small talk, the kitchen sounded nice, and Betsy's company was never a bad thing. Warming up was his only priority at the moment as his hands where just beginning to lose the numb feeling. "See around." She stood up and started pacing, ignoring the fact that she probably looked like a complete psycho. Weird things were happening, and there was no way that she could escape them. She looked down the hall towards the kitchen, where Logan had just disappeared. It was probably best for her to tell Logan about one of the new arrivals before he found out the hard way.
Still, there were people to be dealt with. She sighed and turned to Callisto "Charlie's outta town right now. But you look like you need a place to stay. Ah'm sure no one would mind if you took one of the guest rooms until he got back. Just don't kill anyone."
Locating the newcomer, she approached him and tapped him on the shoulder, then extended her hand. "Hello. Ah'm Rogue. You're lookin' for Charlie, but like Wolverine said, he ain't around right now. Someone else will probably be more than happy t' help you though. You can put your bags down there, no one will take them." She pointed along the wall and started walking towards the kitchen. Maybe if she busied herself with getting the two of them settled with whatever they came to do, she wouldn't have to see Joseph too much. She smiled, hoping that it would work, and turned back to them. "Y'all two want some coffee?"

As Wolverine stormed through the foyer, surly as ever, Callisto gave him one glance and turned away. He wasn't why she was here and she wasn't why he was here.
Reacting to the influx of people, Psylocke said “Charles isn't here at the moment, sit down.
Callisto frowned at Psylocke. Was she to be treated like a child? Controlling her anger with difficulty, she moved to the seat, sitting a careful distance apart to avoid risking any skin to skin contact with the woman. That was, as Callisto recalled, quite dangerous.
Another man, one she'd never met before entered and Callisto tensed up. This was Xavier's and the place did have a certain reputation. Unfortunately, he was here for Xavier as well. Why couldn't the man be conveniently around? It wasn't like he could move that quickly. Well tough luck chrome dome, she'd got here first. She was not going to tolerate any bald-men-stick-together nonsense.
"As far as where Xavier is , if hes here, then hes here. if he ain't, well you know the rest ." Wolverine grumbled in his customary surly fashion.
"Helpful as ever Wolverine." Callisto said acidly. Did the man think she was an idiot? She was about to continue, in no mood for this kind of nonsense after spending the last few hours treking through the snow on foot, worrying about whether she was doing the right thing. Indecisive! Her! It had put her in a foul temper.
"Charlie's outta town right now. But you look like you need a place to stay. Ah'm sure no one would mind if you took one of the guest rooms until he got back. Just don't kill anyone." Rogue said quickly, apparently picking up on Callisto's mood. The condition was unfortunate though. She might get kicked out if it took Xavier long to get back from wherever he was.
As Rogue introduced herself to the newcomer, "Hello. Ah'm Rogue. You're lookin' for Charlie, but like Wolverine said, he ain't around right now. Someone else will probably be more than happy t' help you though. You can put your bags down there, no one will take them.", Callisto assessed her options, making a quick decision. It's not like she had many options in the first place. "I'll take you up on that Rogue." She said softly. She didn't like charity but she wasn't in a position to turn it down.
"Y'all two want some coffee?" Rogue offered, her voice a little distracted.
Rubbing her hands together, Callisto allowed herself to feel the cold she had been steadfastedly ignoring for the last however long. Coffee...she hadn't had coffee in more than three months. "I think that would be wonderful." She said, sounding almost cheerful for the first time that day.

Logan was off to the kitchen, followed by Rogue and Callisto. That left Betsy alone with the newcomer who had said he was sent by Heather Hudson. And he also wanted to see Charles who really wasn't home.
After the hall cleared out, she walked over to Alex and said, “I'm sorry for the confusion. Unfortunately, it's a normal occurance around here. I'm Elisabeth Braddock,” she said as she held out her hand to shake his, “and like you have been told, Charles isn't home at the moment. Is there anything I might be able to help you with? If nothing else, come on in out of the cold for a while.”

He was a little mad that the professor wasn’t there, he had wanted Xavier to help him as soon as possible but Alex could wait.
"Hello. Ah'm Rogue. You're lookin' for Charlie, but like Wolverine said, he ain't around right now. Someone else will probably be more than happy t' help you though. You can put your bags down there, no one will take them."
At least the people here were nice, he smiled at Rouge and put his bag down. He didn’t have much in the bag but the things inside were his and he wanted to keep it that way.
"Y'all two want some coffee?"
“Yea, that would be great,” He had had coffee before with Heather, one of his very few memories. Rouge walked away followed by another woman, with Alex about to bring up the rear before another woman introduced herself.
“I'm sorry for the confusion. Unfortunately, it's a normal occurrence around here. I'm Elisabeth Braddock,”
She held out her hand, “I’m Alex Hayden, no worries confusion is getting to be normal for me,” he extended his hand and shook hers.
“And like you have been told, Charles isn't home at the moment. Is there anything I might be able to help you with? If nothing else, come on in out of the cold for a while.”
He smiled, was everyone here so nice to complete strangers, “Well I can wait for the professor if that’s ok, but while I’m waiting can you take me to the kitchen Rouge was about to make some coffee.”
Betsy's happy morning was quickly souring. Either everyone wanted something they couldn't have or they were already in a bad mood. Pulling her hand back, Betsy replied a bit curtly, “Right. Wait for Xavier and follow Rogue. This way.” She picked up her shopping bags and thought to herself, Did I say two more nights? Make it a week and I may not go insane.

After making a few wrong turns then a little help from some students Alex finally got to the Front Hall where he had left his bag. He walked over to the where he had left it at and of course it was still there, he searched to the bag to see if it wasn’t tampered with while he was gone. “Nope everything here,” he thought to himself. He put the bag onto his right shoulder; he had a lot of time to burn and nothing to do. He decided to head on over the recreation room Betsy had shown him earlier, maybe something in there could keep his mind off of waiting for the professor.

Banshee
Sean walked up to the front door, one meager suitcase in his hand. He sighed, not really ready for this next chapter in his life, but needing to move on. He knocked on the door and waited patiently for an answer. He thought to himself,
At least I won't be dealing with Drunken Danny, and Shopping Cart Sally. Oh and free room and board, hopefully someone here can cook better than meself
The thought of not having to cook every meal cheered him up somewhat. Now if only I did nae have to worry about everything else. What would the others here be like? A lot of questions ran through his mind, and he pushed them aside. He ran a comb through his red hair, wishing he'd thought to shave. His hair presentable, he stopped torturing himself and just stood there.

Smoothing out her short skirt and sweater, Betsy walked into the hall and glanced down at the bench. Oh, bloody hell, I forgot about that package, she thought as she saw Brian's name in Betsy's neat handwriting. Pushing that out of her mind for the moment, Betsy opened the door.
Her dark brown eyes landed on a tall man with reddish blonde hair, green eyes and a wary smile. He looked a bit uncomfortable but that wasn't unusual when someone showed up at the mansion for the first time. Betsy saw the suitcase in his hand and her mind thought about what Charles had said before he left. He was expecting someone new to the team and had hoped he would show up soon. A very light and unnoticeable mind probe revealed him to be who Charles was waiting for.
Offering him a welcoming smile, Betsy asked, “Sean Cassidy? Charles has been expecting you. Come on in.”
