Uniforms
The Red Guard has a strict uniform standard. The uniforms are as follows:
The dress uniform is worn for formal events, press conferences, and other ceremonies. For men, the dress uniform consists of black slacks, with a deep red dress shirt and black tie. The jacket is short and black, with cuffed sleeves edged in red and gold, and matching epaulettes on the shoulders, which vary depending on the rank of the officer. A matching red cap with a black brim and gold braid across the front can also be worn. For women, either a skirt (with dark stockings) or slacks can be worn, also in black. The dress shirt is also worn, with either a tie or cross tie, and the jacket is also similar, but cut differently. The optional hat is also quite the same.
The standard battle dress resembles something of a marching band uniform (see picture). It is made up of form-fitting pants, the right leg of which is black, while the left is white. The pants button up on the right side, where they line up nearly seamlessly with the jacket. A white or black undershirt can be worn with the uniform. The jacket is predominantly black, the white bib folding over from the left and fastening with a series of red buttons. The cuffs are gold and quite ornate, and gold edged buttons run up the forearm. There is a red “M” on each bicep and gold epaulettes with red edging sit on the shoulders. The collar of the jacket is stiff and black, with red on the inside and gold edging. A dark gray belt sits snug around the waist, with a red buckle in the shape of the seal of the House of Magnus. Another belt holds a number of small pouches and a holster, which straps to the right leg. A second holster straps from the right shoulder down under the arm. Dark gray gloves (normally fingerless) are worn with the uniform. Black combat boots are worn with gold scaled shin guards, which end at kneepads.
Camouflage fatigues are also standard issue, for wear when around the base, and in some combat situations. They are worn with a black t-shirt, tank top, or turtleneck. The training uniforms consist of dark red sweatpants or shorts and a black t-shirt or tank top, as well as an optional dark red hooded sweater.
The Red Guard is almost always coordinated when out in public, all wearing the same uniform, unless they are off-duty. Still, they are expected (although not bound by law) to wear something that identifies them as Red Guard.
Every Agent is given a badge and photo identification, and is expected to carry it with them at all times, whether on duty or not. Also, each agent has a tracking chip implanted in the base of their neck, in case they are captured or go AWOL.
