She stepped out, glad to be away from Sabretooth, and waited for Moss. She was glad that there was someone new there for her to manipulate. She'd gotten tired of sending Victor to do things such as water plants and purchase feminine hygene products. Now that Moss was around, though, she could play a game of another kind.

It was relatively easy for Exodus to catch up to Mystique. He didn't quicken the stride in his walk or anything.
"Where would I be staying," Exodus asked. He was eager to meditate on his new awakening.

Moss, hoping she did like him at least, followed promptly.

Tom led Theresa inside, ignoring Exodus as they walked hand in hand. This was easily filthiest facility he had ever been inside of, and he hadn't even seen the brig yet. It smelled like animal waste and trash was strone everywhere. He felt like he needed a shower after just stepping inside. "Don't touch anything." he said, leaning into Theresa.

Theresa looked around her with wide eyes. She couldn't believe anyone could live like this and wished they were back in Tom's immaculate yacht. If a sixteen year old could learn how to keep an entire Keep clean by herself, surly grown ups could at least do the same. Not wanting to take a deep breath, she whispered, “I wonder which one it was that scared the housekeeper away.”
Looking at the various doors in the hallway, she wanted him to hurry up and see whatever it was he was looking for so they could leave. After this, she was definitely going for a swim. It was probably the only thing that would calm her nerves and relax her. “So, which door should we try first?” she asked him.

"Whichever doors I don't have to touch." Tom replied. He began to push on doors with his cane. If one creeked open, he took a look inside. The place was depressing. Obviously the rumors Tom heard were true. This was the "freedom fighting group." These were the great crusaders of mutant rights. He almost burst into laughter thinking about it. "Theresa, do you know what this is?"

"Theresa, do you know what this is?" Tom asked her.
Theresa looked around at the mess around them, tempted to use her powers to at least hover off the ground because she really didn't want to look at what she was walking through. As he tapped on doors with his walking stick, Theresa began to push on them with her feet. She suddenly felt her skin crawl as she realized just how little she was wearing to be walking through there. She had dressed for being outside in the sun, not a smelly “cave”.
Looking back at him, she replied, with a raised eyebrow, “A bloody mess?”

Tom smiled at her response. She may have her mother's looks, but she definately had his wit. "That's not what I meant. This is the home of the Brotherhood. They make the news here and there but they're infamous in my circles. I had no idea they were stationed on Genosha. I came here because I'm not wanted on this island." There he went, showing off his business again. It was strange, now that she knew he felt rather proud of it.

“Brotherhood?” Theresa nearly choked on the word. “There is no sense of brotherhood or unity or any other such pulling together of people in this place. They are all self-centered, egotistical, maniacal men who seem to think that the rest of creation should be worshiping them,” she told him, finally expressing her feelings on the whole thing. “And if this is their idea of a safe haven for mutants, I'd just as soon be back at Cassidy Keep by myself.” She would have stomped her foot with that last remark if she weren't afraid of what it would land in.
Instead, Theresa kicked toward a door and wonder of wonders, it opened. Looking back at Tom, a look of surprise taking over the one of disgust she had just a few seconds ago, she stepped back, closer to him. Having seen just a little bit of the place, she wasn't sure that there wasn't something completely hideous on the other side of the door. Quietly, almost whispering in case someone was listening, she asked, “Is this where our heads are supposed to get all tingly if we aren't allowed in there?”

Tom listened intently as the firey redhead ranted. She had them pegged pretty well. That's their calling card. he thought to himself. Before he could retort she kicked a door open, an ominus looking room on the other side. Is this where our heads are supposed to get all tingly if we aren't allowed in there? She asked. "Only one way to find out." He walked in slowly, letting Theresa trail behind but still holding her hand.

Theresa wasn't so sure she like the idea of “Only one way to find out.” What if he made their heads explode or something. She still had a lot of things she wanted to do before she died, especially now that she was free of Cassidy Keep for a while. Not wanting to think about Tom sending her back, no matter what she had just said, she pushed that thought to the back of her mind.
With her hand firmly in his, he led the way into the room. Even if she hesitated or didn't want to go in, he already made it clear he wasn't leaving her alone. Closing her eyes tightly in case something happened to her head, she walked into the room, her free hand resting on Tom's back just in case.
