Upon entering the Hellfire Club mansion, you walk into a chessboard tiled reception hall. The hall is mainly used for parties for the high society of New York and members of the Hellfire Club. Lining the side walls are suits of armor on display. On the right side, all of the shining armor were black, on the left they were all white.
On the back wall, a door on the right side leads to the kitchen, where the chefs diligently work at all hours of the day.
The door in the middle leads to an extravagant bathroom. The are four stalls and four urinals that line the left wall of the uni-sex bathroom. On the right wall, eight sinks equipped with it's own vanity mirrors, lie sparkling on the chessboard tiling.
The door on the left of the back wall leads to the dining room. The long dining table, made of oak and stained red, takes up most of the room. Chairs line both sides and one on each end. A crystal chandelier hangs from the ceiling directly in the center of the table. The only other lighting in the room are candles in each corner of the room.
In between each door on the back wall is another suit of armor for display, each stained red.
On both sides of the front entrance are stairs leading to the second level.

Once everyone was in the lobby of the Club, she reached back into her case and pulled out envelopes, each one marked with a name. As she handed each of them their envelope, she said, “Your room number, key card and credit card are inside. There is also a map of this section of the city along with a detailed map of the whole city. My cell phone number is also listed in there and please, don't hesitate to call if something happens. There is going to be a lot of psychic static where I'm going and I'm not sure a telepathic call would get through.”
Pausing a moment, she continued, “The rooms are upstairs. Don't be alarmed by the amount of people that come through here. As long as you are inside this building, nothing, and I mean nothing, will happen to you.” She didn't go on to tell them all the security that was crawling through here. That might alarm them too much.
“Now, why don't you find your rooms, get settled in and I'll complete my business here before I continue on to Washington,” Emma finished up, leaving room for any more questions.

Jono walked into the building, noting the elegant styling of the mansion hadn't changed. He always felt out of place in the highly-appointed Hellfire Club. Hobnobbing wasn't his game, he'd found out from dating Sugar Kane. But, the kids would be safe here at least.
He took the envelope, hoping she was wrong about the telepathic interference. If he she was right, he'd have to have one of the kids call her for him if he needed to contact her. He couldn't use a telephone. He let out a heavy mental sigh, remembering what a bleedin' pain pretending not be a mutant was. He nodded to Emma, staying where he was for the moment.
< Any final orders before you go, Old Mum? > he asked only her, trying to sound nonchalant. He wondered what she meant by business here, but didn't press for now. She was under enough stress without him getting nosy as well.

Following Emma into the Club, Rusty glanced around feeling as out of place as he could get. Where those suits of armour on the wall? Cool. Jeez, this place was just about oozing richness. The Academy was bad enough as far as Rusty was concerned but at least he could retreat the the strict, spartan neatness of his room, he'd never really lost the navy-instilled cleanliness fetish.
“Now, why don't you find your rooms, get settled in and I'll complete my business here before I continue on to Washington,” Emma said.
Opening his envelope Rusty almost sighed. The rooms were liable to be even more luxurious than this hall if he had learnt anything over the last year or so. He doubted he'd ever really feel comfortable in these surroundings. It was too much. Pulling out the key, Rusty set his shoulders and set out, first to brave the second floor.

Sabastian stared at the hall with the others, it was very elegant. He had been here very few times before. Each time though, he enjoyed looking at the magnificence of it. He took the envalope from Madame when she handed it to him, he didn't really need a map of the city. He could find his way around, but then it would be ok to look and remind himself. Besides if he needed a quick way out, he could look and find it.
He opened the envelope as Madame finished talking, she seemed a bit tense. That one statement about nothing being able to hurt them set off alarm bells in his head. Did she think they were going to be in trouble? He knew this bill would be a bad thing, but THAT bad? Would the government send out the army to round them up or something like that?
He shrugged it off, he wasn't going to worry about it. He decided to lighten the mood before he left and gave Madame a huge fluroushing bow before he turned and headed to the dorms after Rusty.
" Take care now Madame, and we shall all flock to you as little children upon your return."

She watched quietly as Emma spoke to the other students and people began leaving. This was not good, she could feel it. It probably had something to do with the paper that she'd seen Emma reading in the car. While other people asked their questions, she quietly pieced her own together in her mind. After Sabastian moved towards the stairs, she tapped Emma gently on the shoulder.
"Teacher, is this about that paper you were reading? I saw part of it."
She had to fight to keep herself from grinning at the sentence that she'd succesfully produced, and instead kept her face looking concerned.

Forge entered the Lobby, finding a comfortable seat to sit in, he placed the luggage on the floor he was carrying. His face was a mixture of comfort and aggravation. The trip had not gone quite as smoothed as he had hoped, but it went well enough. Watching the others enter he went caught Emma's attention, by raising a finger. He was sure that this little "vacation" was going to be more then just a side trip to see the nations capitol, He also thought that the children were not falling for it not for one moment. Forge wasn't exactly relaxed about the entire thing either.

Emma knew not everyone was going to be comfortable staying there but other then at her side at all times, which was out of the question, the students were safest here. Shaking her head slightly at Jono, she replied, < No, you know pretty much everything I do and you know what you have to do here. Between you and Forge, I'm sure you can keep a few students out of trouble. > She smiled as she thought the last bit. Then she added, < I think if you need to get me, you will probably be the only one able to break through the psychic chaos of Congress. Don't hesitate. >
Turning her attention to the others, she nodded at Rusty as he left to search out his room. Giving a smile to the ever proper Sabastian, she also nodded at him as he walked away. Sharon surprised her, however. Looking at the girl, she replied, “Yes, this has to do with the paper I was reading. You don't need to worry about that, dear. I'll take care of everything. Just try to remember to wear clothing at all times. If need be, have someone carry an extra set whenever you are out just in case, all right?”
Turning away from Sharon so the girl could go find her room, she walked over to Forge. “You wanted to see me?”

Emma's confidence in his ability to send a psychic message that far surprised him, but it also made him feel oddly proud. Granted, he had never tried to project his thoughts so far away, but the mere fact that she believed he could, if needed, made him willing to try it. Since she had nothing else to tell him and obviously needed to speak to the man called Forge, he started towards the staircase.
He heard Sharon's question and the White Queen's assurances she would handle it. He chuckled inwardly are her careful instructions for Catseye to remain dressed at all times.
< C'mon kitten, > he suggested. < Let's go. Mum's got this as good as handled. > He started up the stairs, hoping she'd follow him.

Sharon nodded slowly as Emma explained that there was nothing to worry about. If she had read correctly, however, that wasn't true. Gathering her belongings, she followed Jono upstairs, stopping about halfway to run back down and give Emma a hug. "Bye, Teacher."
Running off again, she picked up her things and darted to her room.

Watching Emma as there was an apparent strain on her, was no consolation to how Forge was feeling. Though she hid it well he knew her better then that. Something was bothering her about this trip, he could see it in her eyes. Waiting for the others to clear out of the room, he activated his psychic dampner, so that other prying minds wouldn't be able to eavesdrop on the conversation.
"Xavier is here already, most likely his other pets are here as well. From the information I have recieved, this may not go as smoothy as we would like."
Opening up a panel on this cybornetic arm he removed a chip from one of the many sections. He handed it to Emma, almost pulling it back as he did. "This is dangerous information, I don't want to see you hurt. Let me check it out I have sources who can dig deeper into this mystery. Emma this whole thing stinks, and I can tell that your worried. You know more then your letting on, I can't protect you if you don't let me help."

Emma took the chip out of his hand and studied it for a moment, an odd feeling of dread overcoming her. She didn't normally allow such insignificant feelings to affect her like that but ever since they had entered the city, she had been growing more and more uneasy. It was why she was going to make sure the kids were completely protected at all times.
Tucking the chip in the top of her blouse, she knew it would fit perfectly into the laptop that Forge himself had put together for her. He seemed apprehensive about the information stored on it and that didn't help dispel her own worries one bit. “Call me as soon as you know more information. I'll check it out on the way into Washington.”
Giving him a tense smile, she continued, “I'll be fine, Kerian. It is simply just a bill that needs to be stopped before it becomes more. The best way to protect me is to keep the students close. I will have security with them at all times. If the worst should happen and I can't get back, you know where the underground catacombs are. Take them there. Shaw will make sure you have access to it.”
Shaking her head slightly at the downward turn the conversation had taken, she re-emphasized, “I'll be fine. Even with Xavier there, I will make this work.”

“Call me as soon as you know more information. I'll check it out on the way into Washington.”
Kerian bit his lower lip like he always did, when he felt helpless, thankfully with the dampner in place even Emma wouldn't be able to pick up on his feelings. Forge was sort of thankful for that.
"Don't worry I will, last thing I want is to have you uninformed."
“I'll be fine, Kerian. It is simply just a bill that needs to be ... underground catacombs are. Take them there. Shaw will make sure you have access to it.”
Though Forge didn't trust Shaw all that much, he knew that he was at least reliable. Kerian hoped that he would never have to take the kids down there, thinking about that place just gave him the creeps. Again he was thankful for the dampner.
"Yeah your right. What needs to be done, is what needs to be done. I can't argue with that...", looking into her eyes he felt something, he didn't like the thought of losing her, "I know your the best at what you do, so I'm not really that worried. I just want to maker sure I still have a job later on. ", he said grinning. The dampner was really making this more easy, he didn't have to hide how he felt, internaly that is.
“I'll be fine. Even with Xavier there, I will make this work.”
Her voice was softer this time, yet firm in the same breath. He wished he could leave the dampner on forever, just so he could really get to know her without having his mind poked.
"I'm sure you will. I'll do my job. I'll keep the kids safe, but if you need me, you know I'll be there. <Okay tender moment overwith Kerian, snap out of it, this is Emma your talking to..>", Kerian turned off the dampner, leaving her only with a brief smile, and a half feeling.
"So how about I prep you with some party favors?"

Believe it or not, Forge made her relax slightly with his off beat humor. He knew she was uptight about this, she could see it in his eyes yet he was trying his best to relax her. Emma would have to thank him when she returned.
When Forge mentioned “party favors”, Emma's eyes sparkled. She knew he didn't completely trust her little friend that she kept with her at all times. Knowing Forge, he already had an assortment of goodies she could take with her if she so desired.
Smiling, she said, “What do you have in mind, Inventor? Nothing bulky, I will have to get it past security.”

“What do you have in mind, Inventor? Nothing bulky, I will have to get it past security.”
Forge smiled at Emma's desire to be fashionable at any expense. He could tell that she was more relaxed now, as was evident of her response.
"Well, lets see..", Forge pulled up his data pad and scrolled through the list, "Subdermal communications device, but I know how you are about things under the skin. Ahh wait here we go, this should work. Its a translucent earring, that amplifies any audible signals, within a certain distance. Great for spying and it has a communications mode, making it possible for you to send transmission's from anywhere in the world."
Forge felt like he was selling the device rather then convincing Emma she would like it.
"Did I mention it comes in different colors?"
