Emma wrinkled her nose when he mentioned something that would have to be placed under skin. Not what she was looking for. However, the mention of earrings that could enhance her ability to hear things around her as well as let her connect to any communications device around the world peeked her interest.
“Any color, you say?” she asked with a grin. Stepping a bit closer to him, she added, “And where would we find this treasure chest that you have secreted away from the Academy.” She glanced down at the bags next to the chair but he could just as easily hide something as small as a pair of earrings in his bionics, just as he had the chip.
At the thought of the chip, her mood changed to somber again. She was once again anxious to get going and seeing if she could beat Xavier and his crew there. If she could get to them before he began one of his boring, pompous speeches, she would have a much better success rate.
While waiting for Forge, she began to mentally scan the building to make sure the students were safe in their rooms and that security was on high alert. It appeared that Shaw had briefed his staff on their assignments well. As long as Jono and Kerian worked together to make sure the kids never left their sights, they would be safe.

Rand liked this place. It was nice and clean and very elegant and rich looking. He liked the suits of armor. He took his key from Ms. Frost. He liked this very much. He decided, after she was finished talking, to go up to his room.

Jono headed down the sweeping staircase. He'd gotten Rusty's reply, but strangely enough, that other bloke Emma had asked to look after the Hellions, Forge, hadn't replied to him yet. That was odd. He paused at the foot of the steps, searching for the man's mind. He couldn't find it. Which meant only one thing. Forge wasn't in the building.
He sent his mind out further, searching area immediately around the building. Still nothing. The man was simply gone, with no explanation or warning. < Bloody hell, > he cursed out loud, shaking his head. Concentrating, he sent his mind as far as he could south, searching for Emma's. He found traces of her psychic signature, but not her yet. He followed them and then his mind slammed into a wall. He staggered back, grabbing the bannister for support. < 'Strewth! > he yelped, holding his head.
This was bad. Forge was gone and Emma was on the other side of psychic barrier he had no chance of getting through. He looked over at Sharon and Sabastian. One of them would have to call the White Queen to find out what the bloody hell was going. Sharon probably wasn't the best person to make such a phone call, plus he didn't want to cause a panic. He straightened and shook his head again. < That plonker Forge left without telling us where he's gone, > he explained, hoping they would take that as an explanation of his outburst. He looked at Sharon. < You should go eat your breakfast, kitten, > he suggested. < Sabastian says he doesn't eat breakfast. We'll catch up in a few minutes. >
Turning to Dark Matter, Chamber locked minds with him. < I can't reach Ms. Frost's mind, > he told him. < There's a bloody great psychic barrier between her and me and I bashed my bloody brains running into it. Can you try calling her on your phone? She needs to know that tosser abandoned the job she gave him. And find out if she's all right. >

Arriving in the large reception hall that he remembered from before, Rusty was completely and absolutely lost. He had absolutely no idea where anything was in this building and doubted he could even find his way back to his room without some help.
He did however make it to the lobby where he might find that kind of help, someone nice enough to point him in the direction of either that Jono guy or breakfast. Preferrably the later. Jono seemed a nice enough guy but Rusty was hungry.
It seemed however that fate wasn't with him. Or, only half on his side. Jono was standing in the lobby looking...well pretty much exactly the same as he'd looked when Rusty last saw him, except slightly more annoyed.
Cautiously approaching, Rusty murmured aloud "Jono?" He didn't want to disturb any important psychic things but..."Do you know where I can get some breakfast?"

Sabastian looked curiously at Jono when he swore.. out loud. Something was up, but it didn't worry him until he heard Jono yelp. Something was definantly up! He stopped and grabbed Jono's arm to steady him looking questioningly as Jono. He was a bit surprised when the other boy told sharon to go alone. Sharon, alone, in a resteraunt didn't make sense. Sabastian breathed a sigh of reliefe when Rusty walked up. He'd never been happier to see Rusty. " Yeah, you can walk Sharon there and get something to eat with her. The resteraunt is right over there." He pointed to it, " Good to see that you've decided to join us."
He waited tersly wondering why jono had 'asked' him to stay back. If that's what "We'll catch up in a few minutes." meant. Once Rusty and Sharon were gone he looked at Jono who locked eyes and told him his message. Sabastian frowned. Bloody hell was right! What did that guy think he was doing? And a psycic barrier? What was Madame doing? He thought that Jono was supposed to be able to reach her. He frowened as he thought it all over and then realized Jono was probably waiting for his answer. He nodded, " Sure, I'll call her now."
He pulled out his cell phone that Madame had given him and walked down the rest of the stairs as he dialed in her number. It was ringing by the time he was at the bottom. He leaned against the banister waiting to see if she would pick up.

Emma opened the phone and said, "Sabastian? What's wrong?"

Sabastian smiled as she picked up and turned to look at Jono as he spoke, " Well Madame, I am calling for Jono. It seems your mental barriers are too strong for him to reach you. He wanted me to tell you that the man you left here, I can't remember his name, has apparently run off without telling anyone where he went." His smile had faded a bit when he heard her speak, she sounded worried but he brushed it off quickly. Of course she would be, they weren''t supposed to call unless it was an emergency. " I don't think that would be too much of a problem, but Jono can't seem to 'reach' him at all. " He paused for a moment and then continued a little softer, " And Jono would also like to ask if everything is all right. He seemed a bit worried." That said he raised an eyebrow at Jono, asking if there was anything else he needed to tell the Madame.

Emma sighed softly. "Tell Jono he shouldn't have a problem now. I was in a meeting in a psychically sealed room and that's why he couldn't get through. As for Forge, that is troubling, especially if Jono can't reach him. Have him keep trying but I have a strange feeling I know where he is," she told Sabastian matter of factly.
"Jono is a worrywart, Sabastian. You had better get used to that. I'm fine, just tired and in need of sleep but that will probably be hours away. Take care of each other and I'll see you in a day or two," Emma added, allowing a bit of emotion to escape into her voice. Emma hung up the phone.

Sabastian took the phone from his ear and looked at it frowning. He hated it when Madame was mysterious like that, but perhaps she just didn't want anyone on her end to hear anything. Whatever it was, it was aggrivating. He looked up at Jono who still looked a bit frazzled from that run in on the psycic barrier. " She says that she is fine, just a little tired and she'll be better once she gets some sleep. She also said that you shouldn't have a problem reaching her any more. She was in a psycicly blocked meeting so that won't be a problem again."
He frowned before continueing. " Madame also shares our confusion in where that guy is, but then she also stated that she thought she might know where he was. More than that Madame didn't say. Though she reminded me to tell everyone to stick together and stay safe and she'll see us soon."
While he was talking Sabastian closed his phone and stuck it in his back pocket. If Jono had wanted to ask something else, it was too late. Sabastian would not call Madame back, she seemed to be busy. " This does bring up the question, do we leave the others here? Or wait for them?"

Jono was relieved to hear Emma was all right. He wondered why she'd been in a psychically sealed room at all, but decided to let it go for now. She could likely take care of herself. He had no idea where that lout Forge was and why he'd taken off without telling anybody, but truly, it didn't matter. That left him in charge of a gaggle of kids he wasn't that much bloody older than. He let out a long mental sigh.
< I don't see any bloody reason to change our plans just because that tosspot abandoned us, > he replied with a shrug. < And we'll wait for the others. If I'm going to be minding the lot of you, I want to be able to bloody well see all of you. > He let out another long mental sigh. < We might as well go join them. No sense in standing around here like gits waiting for them to finish eating. >
Jono started towards the restaurant, and glancing back over his shoulder at Sabastian. < And if I could eat, I'd never skip another bloody meal again, > he said, sending that thought to Dark Matter alone. < Just a thought. > Then he headed into the restaurant, searching for Rusty and Sharon.

Sabastian nodded He'd figured Chamber might want to wait for the rest of the gang. (which I dont' know if there is a 'rest of them' any more. We can just ignore that) It made sense, and he would want to do that as well if he were in charge. After all With their group, anything could go wrong.
He was about to follow Jono when the other man turned and said on last comment directly to him. Sabstain stopped dead and watched him walk off. How long had he been thinking that one over? It was uncharacteristic of him for sure. Though he had a point. Sabastian had never thought about never being able to eat again. He had just grown up in the habit. His parents would be gone when he usually got up for school, so he would make sure his brother was taken care of, skip breakfast, and head off. He'd figured it would save money to skip a meal a day and he didn't have gym till after lunch and his parents would notice if he skipped lunch or dinner. They would never have allowed him to skip, but he had wanted to help out. Now he just did it out of habit.
He shook his head and stuck his hands in his pockets before following Jono across the hall and into the resteraunt.
